After crossing it was getting close to noon and again I investigated another place, this one. After reading a couple reviews and viewing some pics, after all I am a dive connoisseur, I needed to stop here on my way north. After navigating US13 I found the place, just how it appeared on line. Made my way inside and from the moment I entered I knew it was a locals and I was welcomed. I started with a Rolling Rock in a bottle not an oil can. Not even looking at the menu I ordered a cheeseburger and fries. The bartender even read some specials to me but no I didn't take her advice. She had mentioned spaghetti and meatballs w/garlic bread. The burger take a bit to cook, it was a fat one. The burger arrived and it looked great w/LTO. Then someone ordered the special and it came out. Don't get me wrong the burger was grand but I did just have a burger the day before and spaghetti and meat balls looked better. Next time I'll listen. The burger was cooked properly and the fries were crisp and puffy. I would order again for sure. Lesson learned, take the special when out of town. Peace.

It's open, airy and designed with a laid-back coastal vibe that fits Cape Charles perfectly. You order both beer and food inside at the counter, which keeps things easy and low- key. I went with the Pilsner, and it was exactly what I wanted, perfect after a day out exploring. Their beer list has something for everyone, whether you're into lighter options or something with a bit more depth. We didn't order food this time, but everything coming out of the kitchen looked incredible. They've got plenty of options like burgers, nachos, and other brewery favorites that definitely seemed worth trying next time. What really stood out was the atmosphere. There was so much going on in the best way. They had a dog adoption event happening outside while we were there, which added such a fun, community-driven vibe. They also host live music and other events regularly, so it feels like there's always something to check out. The outdoor space is huge and perfect if you're with a group or bringing kids. There's a fire pit, games like cornhole, and plenty of room to spread out and hang for a while. Definitely the kind of place you plan to stop at for one drink and end up staying much longer. I would have ordered an extra side of onion rings if I had prior knowledge of the up-charge. In addition, I ordered a Hefeweizen for a summer beverage. It was alright, I would have loved to sample a few beers. I am looking forward to trying a few other beers next visit. The vibe was hometown relaxation and family friendly. My husband ordered the NY Strip special, I ordered the fried oyster app (gluten free again!), and my daughter ordered the blackened shrimp mac and cheese. Everything was delicious and the mac and cheese was enough for multiple leftover meals, which my daughter already heated some up once and it was just as good as it was when we were there.
