The sour cream and chicken enchiladas are way too good to be true. After my fifth go at them from this amazing restaurant, I'm convinced they are extracting slices of heaven from another dimension. Seriously, just get them. read more

We visit here often and always have a good experience. Food is really good and service is amazing (I wish I could remember our servers name!) the queso wasn't as good as in the past so they made a new batch and sent some home with us with at no charge. El Ranchito will remain one of our favorite Mexican restaurants! read more

Hard to find Good Frontera food in Arlington. Tried tacos, all 3 flavors, all were good brisket is best. Wife had chicken enchiladas, they were VERY good. Service was attentive without being pushy. Definitely look forward to next visit. read more

I love this place. My coworkers and I go on a regular basis. Even though it's your typical Tex mex restaurant it has really good lunch special with comes with soup and arroz con leche. Their chicken soup and arroz is the best I've ever had and can't find a place like it. I order chicken soup and arroz by the oz because it's so good! read more

Came with my family for a nice dinner. When we arrived the gentleman at the front was very kind and seated us very quickly. Once we got to our table, it was a whole different story. Our waitress kept ignoring our table, and took several food orders of people who arrived after us. Once we did order, our food took very long to be delivered to our table. And when it did get to our table the hamburgers were warm, and the meat on the parrilla was dry as if it had been sitting on it for a while. The lady who refilled our chips was great and very attentive. And the beans and rice were good. But the service was awful to say the least. I have been here before, and used to frequent the one in Dallas, and service have never been this bad. read more

The food is AWFUL. I order the nacho plate and it literally looks like someone put shredded cheese on top of nacho chips and stuck it in the microwave. Someone at my table ordered the fish and it was cold. Our server didn't seem to care or ask how the food was. I've attached a picture of the so called nachos. read more

My mom and I had horrible service at the Arlington location! This was our first time going on Saturday From the moment we walked in till we left all the people working at the Arlington location are rude ! The reason I stuck it thru I kept thinking it will get better maybe the manager had a bad day maybe our waiter had a bad day maybe the host had a bad day but nope this is not a place you want to bring family or friends don't spend your time and money here The service is the worst ! I won't be back just because of the service ! They ALL are RUDE ! They all have the same BAD attitude! what an embarrassment! Birds of a feather flock together-until the cat comes ! Hoping this location will shut down and bring something to Arlington that is worth bringing friends and family. read more

Great service - I believe his name was Charles. Well informed on menu, spot on service ! Food was great, fresh - I brought company from out of town - everyone was very pleased! read more

We have visited 3 times now. We loved it the first two times. It the third time was awful. We are a small family and they sat us a huge table, we waited about 15 mins for a server and the server was rude. She was in a rush and took our whole order at once. The chile rellano tasted like a freezer. I ordered a cheese enchilada for our small child and she brought us a huge order...and charged us more than kid price. Also, she topped it off with a huge handful of jalapeños on one side. Finally, while we got crappy rushed service I observed that she had plenty of time to spend with a mariachi band member. Also, same server knocked a food stand over 4 times!! 4 times and just left it right at my husbands chair. Careless person. Needless to say we won't be returning. The loud mariachi band was too much, the food was bad and the service was bad. Our final overall experience was terrible. read more

This is such an awesome place! The food is delicious and they have the best happy hour! First I must mention the refried beans are the best I've ever had at any restaurant. The rice is also very good. They serve one of my favorite dishes mole enchiladas and it is a great dish here. My husband had the fried catfish which isn't you're typical Mexican restaurant meal but it was giant! The breading was a beer based breading with a little spice to it. So good! Did I mention the Happy Hour? The drinks are great and inexpensive and you can also get a large nacho plate for only $5! During their 12-6 Happy Hour. Yes, that is a long Happy Hour and the environment is so chill and laid back you can just hang out and have great drinks and food! This is my Mexican food go to in Arlington!! read more

We have tried this place out a few time before this review The food good but on the smaller side of the portions They always seat you in the bar area 1st then the surrounding area start being used ( I hate to sit in the bar area ) I asked to be seated else where and they are told fill bar area up 1st , we place the drink and appetizer order the drinks came in an ok time but not the appetizer then our food comes out like I said it's on the smaller side and I asked for our appetizer he said I'll go get it , I told him not to bother ( 2nd time this had happened ) they do have weird rice has carrots and green peas in it bland tasting tho , we eat and need refills on drinks and we have to go find our waiter we have to wait 20 minuets after we finish to get our check to pay and noticed he did not remove the appetizer off our check so we had to wait again , then had to wait for the cashier to come back to his area , OMG !!!! Can we not just leave Time of lunch was 2:10pm on a Tuesday , 2 other couples and 1 family in the restaurant with us Not going to return read more

The food is greasy,over-seasoned,and overall not appetizing. I prefer the original Ranchito in Oak Cliff. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. read more

Nice atmosphere and Great Margaritas! Food, however, could be better. Tacos are the size of Street Tacos and for $18.95 the Taco Al Carbon is over priced. The meat was good, but 3 small tacos served with a plate of mostly lettuce and no cheese, well... we turned it into a salad. Enchiladas were nothing to write home about either, ok, just not impressive. With a ton of other Tex Mex options in the area, we will probably not return. read more

We brought a large group of people for a work dinner event this past weekend. The team at El Ranchito did an excellent job catering to our 50+ person party. The food and drinks were on-point, all guests had glowing reviews for the food and the staff. Thanks to Juan Sanchez for helping me get this organized. We will definitely consider El Ranchito for future events!! read more

Love this place I'll definitely recommend it we celebrated Father's Day abandona my husband loves it

The worse food! I have gone to the Dallas location 100 times and this location is horrible... They have lost there quality of food.. I asked for there homemade corn tortillas and was served microwaved tortillas.. The beef soup they give u with the lunch special was old and tasted sour.. read more

First time trying this place the food had no flavor. The fajitas from Taco Cabana have more flavor, won't come back.

I ordered chicken fajitas, no beans. I got chicken, sausage, and some kind of rib thing. I told the waitress that the order was wrong, supposed to be chicken fajitas. After a long time the exact meal came back with chicken added. The manager said those were the chicken fajitas and that I had pointed at my friends dish... ???? All I did was verbally ask for chicken fajitas no beans... sooo I asked if I could have some tortillas, guacamole or sour cream to go with my "fajitas". I was told I had tortillas, the 3 that came with my friend's meal. My friend was done with her meal by the time I got everything. Very strange experience that no one understood what chicken fajitas were, when they were on the menu. The manager had no problem singing really bad karaoke instead of taking a moment to understand what a customer was trying to tell him . I do not recommend this place at all. read more

Tried the new location as I really like the other one just don't like the area. The food was just as good. There wasn't must wait for a Saturday night, but I don't anticipate for this to last long. Overall, the food was food just kind of pricey. read more

A little disappointed...the foid took over an hour to come and then when it did it was cold.

Service sucked. Server neveer came too our table. Asked for our ticket and we waited 30 min smh

I was disappointed with this restaurant ... It's based on the parent store in Dallas, which is a classic ... but the prices are too high for Mexican food ... also, we ordered regular nachos on our last visit, and they were soggy; nachos floating in water ... can't figure that out, unless they scooped up some water with the pico de gallo .... but there's no exuse for that ... Drinks are expensive ... best to learn their happy hour puzzle ... I thought karaoke night would be filled with Mexican songs, but not the case ... Rock n roll dominated until the last half hour ... read more

Great food and even better service from Gunner !! We will be back!! Something for everything from Tex Mex to traditional Mexican cuisine !!

My husband and I have visited the new location several times and are impressed with the service, food and management. We came for National Margarita Day and the margaritas are amazing, possibly the best we've had. Their happy hour is outstanding! $4.50 for a huge delicious margarita. We're making this restaurant our new favorite! read more

El Ranchito - After a few sips. I did manage to take a photo before the glass is empty - Mexican Near Me - Arlington, Texas

I really, really wanted to like this restaurant. Being a locally owned business. But I'm sorry, it was horrible!!! I can write a book on the horrible queso that was like yellow water. Or the burnt chicken fajitas. But the absolute worst was our party shared 1 single order of fajitas and one plate of enchiladas. 2 iced teas and 2 margaritas that were SOO awful that we ordered a shot of tequila that we were charged 10$ each for. Even though we asked for the "house" tequila. Our bill was 103.00 without tax or tip. I really don't usually do reviews, but this was SO horrible that I have to warn you. Don't waste your time or money. We didn't eat even 2 bites of our food and actually laughed when they asked if we wanted to take it with us. read more

The customer service was good, the place was clean, nice atmosphere. The charro beans were great, the chicken enchiladas were terrible along with the sour cream sauce. The spanish rice was good and the guacamole lacked any flavor. The free salsa was really good, not too hot but just right. I would go back again just to get chips/salsa to go! read more

El Ranchito is as good as their Dallas restaurant, La Calle Doce. Absolutely delicious! Brought home a family pack of fajitas and all 7 of us loved every bit of it!!!!! Fajita meat perfectly seasoned and tender. Flour tortillas were the best I've ever tasted. Lots of fresh veggies were included!!!!! Will be back!!!!! read more

Finally got around to eating here. There are several baby goat plates. I figured I would just start with chicken suizas enchiladas and work my up to goat (Cabrito). The enchiladas were great! The refried beans had a very good flavor. The rice was just traditional Mexican rice - nothing special. The chips and hot sauce were good but just "so so" when compared to other spots. They had a spicier green sauce but we had to ask for it. It was better and hotter than they one given with chips. My hubby ordered the chile relleno. He said it was good. I will say this - they don't skimp on portions! We couldn't finish our plates...almost but not all the way. We will definitely return! read more

The service was horrible!!!! Food was good. Had to ask 4 times for chips and salsa, and waited 30 min for a refill.

Yeah, so they won't seat you if your full party isn't here. My group made reservations for a surprise party and they cancelled our reservation because the guest being surprised wasn't there yet. Please don't patronize this business that implements these ridiculous policies and won't make exceptions for special situations. They lost the business of 20 people tonight and hopefully yours too. read more

NEVER EVER AGAIN WILL I COME HERE!!!!!! My family placed reservations a week early, a party of 40. We arrive and they sat us down, they only gave us ONE server. We asked the server if he had someone else to help him because he was running around like a chicken with his head cut off trying to attend everyone. NOT ONE employee or even the manager ever come by to help or see how things are going. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE! We literally only got one refill with our drinks. We got our food and of course because it was a big party by time we got our food it was cold. Thennnnn, here comes time for the bill absolutely ridiculous! So they gave us 2 options either they place it on one big bill and 1 person pays it and then we pay that person back OR they split the bill in 4 ways and 4 people each get a bill! STUPID!!!! Again not even a manager came by or anything NOTHING! So they gave us the bill in 4 ways, not to mention each bill was different and absolutely confusing because everyone's food was one a different bill and had to look around for what you ordered. My familys food was on 3 of the tickets! It was too confusing doing that so my aunt offered to pay the ticket And we had to send her money through Zelle. NO ONE SHOULD EVER HAVE TO DO THAT! PERIOD! We all left so upset and we will never recommend this place to anyone. I had to give this place a 1 star in order to write the review but my honest review is a NEGATIVE 5 star! Horrible customer service! read more

Love, love El Ranchito in Arlington. Best tableside Guac, house Margaritas and delicious food. A must try!

Clean, great service and might possibly be the best sour cream and chicken enchiladas I've ever had all at a reasonable price. Highly recommended read more

Food was great and drinks were strong. However the hostess sat us at a table with no salt/pepper/sugar or silverware. We asked for napkins and she gave us paper towels from the restroom. Our waitress, Abigail gave us really bad service. Our drinks were always empty and every time we asked for something she acted like it was an inconvenience to her. She honestly ruined our first visit here. read more

This is a very special addition to Arlington, Tx! I read reviews from Dallas but really expect the gem we found visiting the restaurant recently opened in Arlington. Oh wait, don't everyone go--I want to keep it sort of secret... read more

Was looking forward to seeing something succeed in the old Buck & Loons restaurant, but in my opinion this is not it. The chips were thick and tough. Queso is blah. The fajitas were lacking serious seasoning. The flour tortillas were store bought and tough. The prices were extremely high for what you get and what they have. And after eating there we had intestinal cramping. Minor food poison?? Wont be back. read more
