I have visited this establishment many times and plan on doing so again. The food is delicious every time and I love their alcohol offerings especially the piña colada. The waiters and waitresses are very friendly and I never have to wait long for my food or to be served. The interior is nice and simple with great lighting. Well, where do I begin. First ate here years ago on a mt bike trip with friends from out of state. Food was good, beer was priced fairly. So a few years later I moved here and have eaten here a handful of times and it's never been as good as the first visit. The last time I ate here was about a month ago when I took out of town friends for dinner after a ride. We all felt the salsa was NOT good, all our meals were skimpy on meat and lacked the flavor we expected in good Mexican food. One of my pals spoke to the waitress in Spanish as he was fluent, yet it did absolutely nothing to fix the meal. The waitress spoke to someone and offered to comp that meal but that wasn't our goal. Why is it so hard to make good Mexican food that makes customers want to return to a local place? I can only hope management sees this and pays attention to what is going on. read more

Deep in the country you wouldn't expect good Mexican food well guess again...this place was very good. We tried this spot why? Why not. Can't go wrong with Mexican. I know that's what she said...haha. But seriously the place, the service, the food was good!. They give you chips with a tomato based salsa...but if caliente (spicy) is your thing then just ask and they will bring you a spicy salsa. One bite and I saw a tongue go numb. Too hot? Just mix the two together and add a little lemon juice and a perfect happy medium. I ordered the #18 combination platter. A good mix of things to try. Just remember everything comes with hamburger meat. Not a carnivore then they have vegetarian options. The food was delicious and I would come here again if I'm ever in town. Great food, reasonable prices, never have to wait for your table and FANTASTIC service. We love this place.

I've been here for meals three times in as many weeks, and all have been well prepared, tasty, and served in under 10 minutes. Parking is a bit tight, but the lot across the road does help. Ample seating inside. Someone already mentioned the grande sized draft beer, which I can confirm. My new favorite dish is the Maria Special (tortilla filled with grilled shrimp, chicken, mushrooms and bacon covered in cheese sauce with rice and Mexican salad). Wow. We stopped in for lunch and had a great experience. It took a bit to get seated, but after that the staff were extremely friendly, and on the spot. We had our food super quickly. I had the Carnitas and they were hands down the best I've had. Delicious, with very little fat. My sister had the chicken fundido, and she cleaned her plate- it looked great! My husband had a taco burrito lunch special and I'm not sure I even saw it- he ate it so fast!! Restaurant was clean, and everyone was socially distancing. The older gentleman who greeted & seated us was so friendly really worked to make sure we had a good experience! There was a great selection of food, it was quick & all very tasty! We stumbled on this place while in Brevard. I was a little nervous with the overall 3 Yelp stars but we had a great meal. I went with the authentic Mexican tacos (pescado, chorizo and pastor). All were excellent! The chips were great. I requested the house made salsas (a slightly sweet tomatillo and a nice spicy red salsa). Mad props on the salsas. The place is a little run down and the service was nothing to write home about. But the food was legit. read more

Just your average Mexican restaurant if not below par. The Free chips and large bowls of salsa are definitely nice, but the food, while it has large portions, seriously lacks flavor. Initially, I was starving and devoured one of my fajitas (one order is enough for two people - you'll get at least three wraps out of it and still some leftovers). As I ate a second one, I noticed the lack of flavor in the beef/chicken fajita dish. In my large group, everyone ate their meal, but no one really seemed to enjoy it. Service is friendly and accommodating. It is a nice restaurant and probably good for families, but you're not necessarily getting the quality for the price. Overall, good. read more

This is now my go to for Mexican food in Brevard since Plaza Garibaldi stopped serving alcohol. At El Ranchero they serve giant, chilled glasses of Mexican beer and their margaritas (48oz.) are decent and strong. The servers are always very friendly and they've got a really nice little outdoor seating area under a huge sycamore tree. It'd prolly take out the whole place if it ever fell. The only thing I would gig them on is their salsa. It's basically just tomatoes right out of the can. The least they could do is add onions and cilantro. Oh, and they have authentic Mexican ice cream bars in the freezer next to the cash register. I used to come here a lot for takeout and they were extremely fast. read more

First time eating here in years. Still the typical Mexican restaurant, same atmosphere, menu items and offerings. Not the best in town, but still serves its purpose well as a Mexican restaurant. Could use a bit of an upgrade with the building (i.e. - more windows or lights to brighten it up) and menus. Our meals came out in a reasonable time. Service was okay, they came back to refill our drinks and that was it. But, they were nice when they did come! It was noisy inside, but I would blame that mostly on the fact that there was a lot of people. There are plenty of Mexican restaurants in Brevard, and I wouldn't choose this one over some, but it is still a good place to go for a fix of Mexican food. read more

Stopped in on our weekend visiting the family Mountain House. It was late and was still open so we figured we'd try it out. The food was "okay" but I've definitely had better. I ordered the red sangria and it was literally red wine in a glass, no fruit - nothing. Took one sip and almost spit it out. It was HORRIBLE. It tasted like the wine had been opened for a long time and went bad. Felt like we were rushed to finish eating and leave as the manager kept walking back and forth from the front door area like he was seeing if he could start cleaning up or if more people were coming in. read more

Try the mojara durada. It comes with pico de gallo on the fish with nopales (cactus) that soaks into the fish and tastes delicious.

Service was quick. The food was bland. I would skip this one. El Myra was much better.
