Catalana Caramel Crepes

The outdoor seating is a great spot to people watch while enjoying lunch. We ordered the Reina Margherita, a pitcher of Sangria and the Catalana d'Carmel, all which were good. Staff were friendly and service was quick.

Stopped by because it was in a great spot to people watch while eating outside and the pizza looked great. They had great service and the pizza was fabulous. The waiter even recommended dessert that was awesome.

So this will be a first and maybe a last time for me coming to this awesome establishment. Only due to the fact that I don't live in Spain. However, if I did El Racó would be a place I would visit more then my mothers house (don't tell her please) We hit up El Racó before seeing a fun night of flamenco dancing. Absolutely delicious pizza, the crust was right, the sauce, the cheese along with Iberico and mushrooms, oh man off the hook stuff. Service was great and they were on top of everything, taking good care of us . We were a party of eleven hungry and thirsty visitors out on the town. The menu was in Spanish and English. They have lots to choose from, my kids even really enjoyed the food as well and they can be pretty picky. There is really not much more I can say about a place that did everything right. Except, that if you are just visiting or are lucky enough to live by this restaurant that serves delicious food, then you need to come and sit down and try it for yourself. I wish them the absolute best in their future endeavors and hope that some day if I get the chance to come back, I will be able to sit at a table in El Racó and enjoy the food again. Bravo

I wish I had a "before" picture to post, but we devoured it too quickly. Don't get me wrong - love the Spanish tapas, but we were in need of a change of pace. Our order, in no particular order: orange salad (has hazelnuts and goat cheese), carpaccio pizza (FUEGO), pear and Gorgonzola ravioli, bolognese, and the calzone (the only one the menu, held the anchovies). Did I mention there were four of us? Don't judge, mamis and papis. Also, get a bottle of red wine with "vaca" in the name... I apparently blacked out due to euphoric shock.

Sangria de Cava, a must get!

Let me start with the service is above and beyond! Absolutely fantastic! It's my first time in Barcelona and he help pair my meals! We ordered the Sangria de Cava - AMAZING! Lobster Linguini - mind blowing! Margarita Pizza - went well with everything. Top it off Carmel crapes - delicious!

Decent food. Nothing outstanding but nothing bad. I'd eat here again. Can't add any more text.

Ziryab seemed to fit the bill, so we made plans to stop here during our first night in the city. Ziryab is located close to the Gothic Quarter, on side street. It's kind of inconspicuous from the outside, but the interior gives way to a really welcoming space. The restaurant is separated into two main areas, with an earth-tone color scheme that has a rustic, almost cave-like aesthetic. The high ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows keep the dining room open and spacious. The tapas menu had a good selection, and we decided on several items: pan con tomate, sweet potato rolls, chicken cannelloni, bacon-wrapped figs, croquettes, falafel, and a charcuterie board. All the tapas were great - my favorites were the chicken cannelloni, pan con tomate, and the charcuterie board. The cannelloni especially was a standout - definitely a unique dish, and the chicken was super flavorful. We opted for dessert, and got the feta whip cheesecake - this was great as well. The combination of tang and sweet was a good finisher to our meal. Service was great - everyone was friendly and our dishes were served at a good pace. Overall, I'm glad I tried out Ziryab - the tapas were delicious and atypical of ones you find elsewhere in Barcelona. I would have no qualms returning here for another meal.

We ordered the zucchini noodles with prawns and cuddlefish, zucchini flower stuffed with burrata, goat cheese and honey toast. Everything was good. We also had the black paella with prawns aioli. The charge for paella is per person but we asked for a portion for 2. Service was nice and friendly. Our server kept us clean and was able to help with off menu drinks. The service was very attentive, and our waiter, a fellow Ecuadorian...was very professional and friendly. We ordered staple tapas and dessert, and the food was very delicious. I had no idea how huge and elegant the restaurant was until I went inside to use the bathroom before leaving. We were there just after 7 pm so it wasn't as busy as I imagine it will get later, because in Barcelona, people don't have dinner until 9 or 10 PM. We ordered fresh salmon with dill, coroquetas de jamón iberico, a cod fritter, and chicken cannelloni with foie gras and black truffle sauce. We also ordered the pan with tomate, of course to soak up the truffle sauce. The cannelloni was amazing! I mean it melted in your mouth amazing!! After our snacks... We ordered dessert. We ordered their homemade Belgian chocolate ice cream, which is hands-down, the best chocolate ice cream I've ever eaten. And we also ordered their version of a crème brûlée called crema Catalonya! Both desserts were amazing, however, I highly recommend the Belgian chocolate ice cream. Overall, the experience was amazing and I hope to pop in again before we leave. Enjoy!

Cute place, nicely decorated- has great seating places to hang out. Staff welcoming and efficient. Food was great- needed a healthy meal- and we got it. We got the fattoush salad: was refreshing Mixed grill- had a kebab, grilled chicken, grilled beef (or lamb maybe- whatever it was, was good), and a lamb chop. Served on the classic thin bread with a side of grilled potato, onion, pepper! It was everything I needed it to be- all the meat was tender, flavorful and moist. Was also the perfect amount for 2- and we finished everything!

Both my son and I are very picky about Lebanese food having been spoiled by the excellent Lebanese in our home town Los Angeles, so we ordered with trepidation. The very first must-try dish immediately set our minds at ease: please, do yourselves a favor and order their Fatoush salad. It's done so right, juicy tangy, bursting with flavors and the pita in the salad is made into a curly flower and gives a delicious crunch. We liked the dish of garbanzo and yogurt a bit less, as it was quite heavy and lacked flavor. My son was very pleased with shish tavouk with chicken, and I loved my halloumi dish. The service was slow (as everywhere in Barcelona) but it was efficient, and our Egyptian waiter had good recommendations for everything. He was funny and personable.
