We love El Puerto's and have never had a bad meal there! Staff is efficient and courteous!! We really enjoy the decor as well!!!

If you are traveling through this quaint little town you must take a trip down their Main Street. We were on our way to derby from Omaha and this is a little over the half way mark. Instead of opting for fast food we stopped at El Puerto for lunch and we're not disappointed. They had several lunch specials which were great value for your money. The food was delicious and the service was good and fast. We were in and out in about 30 minutes. So do yourself a favor and skip the fast food line and get a really good homemade meal! read more

I stopped here on the way to Texas from Wyoming. Very very good Mexican food. On the way down I had Chili Colorado. The beef was more into skinny strips . It was a bit salty but great red chili flavor The rice was fluffy and light. Crazy to say but the beans were light as well. Probably the best ever. The plate was served hot! The servers work together and are so kind. I had a margarita on the rocks. And it was good. On the internet at back to Wyoming I stayed in this same town and I decided to go here again. I had the chili verde burrito Very good! I'll be in Wyoming soon where there is no good Mexican restaurants I will definitely return here in my travels The tables and chairs are beautiful The music is awesome Pure Mexican Heaven in Earth! read more

Came to Concordia for a community college basketball all star game and we needed lunch. The restaurant was very neat and very clean, including the restrooms! Customer service was good, we were greeted as soon as we walked in the door. Food was good and fresh, chips were fresh and hot with the salsa and queso! If you are ever in Concordia, Ks you should check this place out! read more

I'm working my way through the menu and so far the poblano relleno and a wet burrito were both OK but not exceptional. The guacamole and salsa picante are excellent. The service is lightning fast and the restaurant is very clean and appealing. read more

3.5. The highlight of downtown Bellevile! Average stuff more or less...but still above average. Friendly staff and quick and attentive service (without skimping on portions, they use thinner cuts of meat which allows them to cook items to order very quickly). Kitchen is competent. The usual Mexican fare is served here, and except for the occasional taco truck or Taco John's ...it's about your only option around here! I enjoy the Fajitas and various other items on the menu. I will say their carne asada leaves something to be desired, so you might want to skip that. Their fried ice cream is very reasonably priced and is a fun twist on the desert. read more

My husband thought there needed to be more spice in the enchilada meat whereas my shredded beef burrito was delicious. The beef had been cooked with peppers and tomatoes and the whole thing topped with cheese sauce, lettuce, tomatoes and guacamole. Mexicano Burrito. Delish. The beans were grey, the meat was pink, and the chips were stale. Yuck! The service was okay, but other than that it was a poor experience.

Good Mexican food in Kansas? El Puerto was a pleasant surprise, especially since I'm from Texas. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is the child con queso was runny and the burrito was literally ground beef wrapped in a tortilla. If I'm ever in Concordia again, I wouldn't hesitate to stop in again. read more

I have given up trying to find a restaurant in this town. When you can't even provide a Coke without screwing it up you don't deserve to be in business. The coke tasted like detergent. The chicken quesadilla was made from pulled boiled chicken that had zero flavor and zero imagination. The customer service was less than pleasing here. I found a piece of melted plastic in my chicken quesadilla and the gentleman assisting my table was very kind and apologetic and immediately took it to the back and got me a new quesadilla. Shortly after, a colleague of mine found a piece of hair wrapped in her beans, and when she confronted the situation (kindly) the host (Imelda, I believe was her name) subtly accused her of lying. She kept stating the cooks do not have long hair, and she did not served her meal, and continued to shrug her shoulders as if she did not care. The same gentleman came over and offered to give her the meal for free, but the host immediately intervened and said the best they could do was cut half the price off. We took the offer as it was still reasonable. Then she hands me my receipt charging me FULL PRICE for a quesadilla that had melted plastic in it. I asked her about it and all she could say was "oh wow, really?" And shrugged her shoulders. So I asked (in a very irritable tone) about a discount as that was not the standard of food I was ordering and she charged me for my drink and another $2 without reasoning. The servers were great and very kind, the cooks are prompt and food is never distasteful, but this particular hostess showed a lack of good customer service. I'm not too sure I will be going back, as I do not appreciate her poor attitude towards my colleague or myself. read more

Living in California for most of my life I would have to say it definitely isn't the best Mexican food I've had-I would probably give them a 3 out of 5 on taste of food. I chose to give them a 5star rating because of the atmosphere, the wait staff is outstanding and I've looked in the kitchen and it's impeccably clean. I won't review the food at El Puerto because that would be unfair as I eat what's put in front of me. Food isn't what I think of all of the time. I couldn't tell you 15 minutes after a meal what I ate. What I will review and is a pet peeve of mine is service. Nobody likes being ignored and at the mercy of their server. I've been to restaurants recommended by friends and half the time either the food or the service sucked. I've been to El Puerto 5 times in the last 2 years and as I said I can't remember what I had but I do remember the service, which has been top notch every time. The restaurant is crystal clean as is the kitchen. Just try to have an empty glass or empty chip basket. The entire Mexican staff "gets it". Friday and Saturday nights customers are lined up outside.
