I was extremely disappointed with my experience. The food was bland, overcooked, and tasted like it had been sitting out for far too long. The worst part was finding a bug in my food, which completely ruined my meal and raised serious concerns about cleanliness and food safety. After seeing that, I couldn't continue eating. Idk what everyone is gripping about. The food was great. The service was great. Looks family owned and operated so yes the place could use some minor remodeling. But I found nothing wrong with this place. The staff is friendly. Food was fresh. Pretty good selection on the buffet. You should ignore some of the negative reviews and just try it for yourselves. Jesus Christ this place is the number one reason Concordia's population is declining. I mean I know this is a very small town and there's not much to eat but good lord. Inside of the place looks horrible stains on walls, outdated pictures, place could use some TLC. But the food... just save yourself the money and buy some frozen Chinese from Walmart you'll be much better off in every way. I swear everything just tastes like vegetable oil. I'm not trying to bash the people the workers there are good family people but Jesus if their food has one spec of flavor maybe they would gain some traction in the community. Nice hole in the wall place in strip mall. Yes, it could use some remodeling, the service and food make up for it.

Food was good and hot nice variety . Hot and sour soup was awesome... they didnt have dumplings on the buffet which is my fav . Salt and pepper shrimp where really crispy good . Would definitely eat here again.... read more

I'm in the area for business and I decided to give this place a try. That's a decision I still regret because this was the worst Chinese food I have ever had. I ordered sesame chicken and the pieces of chicken looked unusually small and they were hard. The sauce was extremely sweet and after only a few bites I threw it out. SO - I went to lunch with some coworkers to the Dragon House. I ate from the Buffet which was OK, but Chinese food in general I think has too much salt. I finish my meal and am sitting waiting for a few others to finish eating - when a co-worker of mine starts gagging and pulls a piece of metal wire out of his mouth after coughing it up! He didn't want to make a big scene and said since his throat was really irritated he might need to go have it looked at to make sure there were no more wires stabbed into his throat. One of the owners - I assume - came over and asked if anything was the matter and he replied that he had found some metal wire in his food. What got me isn't that the wire was in the food, but it was their reaction. The man and woman both replied that it was just wire from a steel wool scrubber used to clean the woks in the back and I quote - "sorry, but it happens" I understand that food needs to be cooked in the same wok and it should be cleaned first. What drove me from ever eating here again was their attitude about the METAL IN THEIR FOOD (like - oh yeah we know, doesn't everyone get scouring pad in their food from time to time?) and if the metal is from the scrubber then that means they aren't rinsing the pan out after they scrub - at least not well. If they aren't rinsing the pan whats the point of scrubbing, everything you just scrubbed is just going into the next dish! Also - what about the cleaning agent, the soap or scouring powder used to eliminate allergens from contaminating different dishes? Does that end up in your food also? AVOID. The owners I'm sure are nice people and part of me hates writing bad reviews about mom and pop restaurants but they have some work to do to make this establishment both sanitary and safe. Feel free to be your own judge and give it a shot, there doesn't seem to be many options in Concordia that are not fast food. Good Luck. read more

Food was okay, but they were understaffed, rude, and half the pop wasn't even carbonated.

Heard the food is really good if you order off the menu but not so great off the buffet. Had the buffet on Saturday at 11:30 a.m., food was hot and very good, but can see where the food may not be rotated out and keep fresh and hot if you try it during a slower time. read more

Not very impressed, then again this is Concordia a town dying and the last one out turn off the lights blow out the candles please. That being said I am not pleased with the service or the food. The last time I ordered here the food was cold, greasy, and everything tasted bland, not very appealing at all. I had a friend pick it (Recovering from Long tern Illness Cancer) up and after talking with her she let me know that most of my $65.00 supposed to be off menu order came from the Buffet leftovers while she had to wait for the order to be filled. Needless to say I have not been back since. I have however tried on several occasions to place orders for Delivery since they clearly state on several sites that they do deliver, I finally have been told after several excuses, lies, and evasions of the truth that they will only deliver food to the local motels and only if its the more higher priced one South of town. Funny they have at least 5 sites that advertise "Delivery" that say nothing about only to the Motel across from Walmart being the only place they will take food too in Concordia? When I pushed about that not being on any of the adds I got that they needed to update their adds and would work on it, Sadly that is what I was also told several months back and its still not taken care or. After all this I wont be placing any kind of an order with this restaurant be it eat in or to go not to mention if I was staying in a certain motel. If I want good Chinese Food I will go back to Salina at least their they do deliver all over town and you get what your paying for not leftovers and rejects. The quality of food from the people that had the restaurant before has changed and is so different, everything is made cheaply and not traditionally I guess that is where their "Modern" Spin or whatever you want to call making food as cheaply as you can get by and still call it Chinese. I guess if I open a can of Dollar store Chile and heat it in a Wok made in China its Chinese Food isn't it? I mean its made in China and Chinese things touched it so it has to be Chinese its what some people call food, not me but it works for this point, it you think about it. I do question if their selective "Delivery" Service qualifies as Discrimination against the Disabled? Something that I will be taking up with someone that knows about these things in the next few days. Like I said if you can do it for some you can do it for all or no one at all its your choice but its against the law to have it both ways. read more
