Cheese Pupusa (3) Beans & Cheese Pupusa (3) Chicken Pupusa (3)
    Gregory G.

I was hungry early so before I left town I decided to get a breakfast burrito - one of my favorite things. I also saw they had pupusas so I bought three of those to go. One thing I hadn't heard of was a baleada so I took one of those to go as well. Breakfast burrito - was so soft and hot, it almost tasted like freshly baked bread. They improvised what I wanted, which was really nice. The ingredients were fresh and it was great breakfast. The eggs they put into it were cooked over hard (yolks were cooked solid, but not over cooked if that makes sense) and not scrambled but it was surprisingly good. The rice was perfect, the black beans were good, along with tomatoes and lettuce wrapped up in a warm tortilla shell. The diagonal cut was a nice touch. Pupusas - I had these the next day with the salsa roja but without the coleslaw (not a big fan). Of the cheese, chicken, and bean I bought, the bean was my favorite though they were all good. I love it when the cheese is all melty and gooey and oozes out when they cook it so it turns a nice slightly crusty and golden brown. Yummy goodness. Baleada - I'd never heard of this so I tried it 2 days later. It was good just not what I was expecting. I didn't know what I was expecting but what I received and ate looked a lot like a quesadilla but without the light toasting on either side. It had chorizo, beans, cheese and I think eggs in it so it was good, again just not what I expected. El Yucateca sauce - I haven't seen this in a restaurant in a while. SPICY goodness, be careful with this one. Jarritos fruit punch - a guilty pleasure so I indulged a little.

Best Birria Tacos that I ever had... I typically don't eat beef but a family member had these and they looked so good. I just had to try it. So I visited El Pueblito and they did not disappoint. The ladies that took my order were so nice. It's a sit in restaurant or take out. The parking lot is shared but I didn't have an issue finding a close parking spot. My family has tried other things from them like Pupusas and the chicharronero plate. Although I did not try those items, they look and smell good. I will definitely go back to try other menu items.

Very fast food prep and delicious birria tacos were very good. The sauce that came with had a nice flavor and a kick. I got 2 orders of them and it came to $33.90. They came in sets of 3 and you get chopped onion and cilantro on side, some spicy pickeled onion and fresh limes on the side as well. I loved that they are close by and take phone orders

The exterior looks worn down and unassuming. The interior is small but was able to accommodate our party. The service was good, with both bartenders taking turns serving our table. I ordered happy hour chips and queso, and the queso felt very unfresh and can-like. They only offer one basket of chips & salsa complimentary per the menu but we were a party of 5 and received two. My happy hour app was rung up as regular price. The hard shell bean tacos I ordered had very little beans in them and only beans, no other toppings. There was lettuce, tomato, and cheese on the plate on the side, so I had to dress my own tacos. They tasted okay, not great, not bad. The $6 Monday margaritas are for the 12 oz and are made strong. It's a $1 more for a flavor and $1 more for a larger size (16 oz). The men's bathroom is small and had two urinals that are right next to the bathroom door. I will probably stick with my usual spot in Laurel, called Chido's.

The salsa you could tell was made fresh and had just enough kick, the chips were delicious! I ordered the Agave Burrito and it was stuffed full of shredded chicken and was the perfect size with refried beans + rice. My friend ordered the California burrito with El Pastor and it was stuffed full and also very delicious! We didn't have room for dessert but the churro cheesecake sounded amazing! This place felt very authentic and was the perfect balance of noise and being able to talk! Service, ambience + food all get a thumbs up from me!

We ordered a lot: buffalo wings, guac, carnitas with rice and beans, ceviche, and the elote off the daily special board. Almost everything was fresh and delicious. The carnitas were tender, the ceviche was bright, and the guac was on point. The margaritas on the rocks were strong and well-made -- exactly what you want. The only miss was the elote from the specials board -- it needed more cotija and seasoning to really shine. Minor gripe on an otherwise great outing. Parking was also super tight, so keep that in mind if you have a large vehicle. Will definitely be back. Highly recommend.

I was running my dad around and he wanted to get tacos for Cinco de Mayo. This seemed like as good an opportunity as any to try out, El Guapo. We came by shortly after they opened for lunch. It is very spacious inside the first thing I noticed was how large their bar is. We were seated right away and the waitress brought out water while we looked at the menu. I just had to get a margarita and my dad chose to get a corona light beer. Wow we were still trying to decide. The waitress dropped off some chips and salsa. The chips were fresh and crisp like they had just been made in house. The salsa also tasted like it was homemade. It was very mild with a little bit of a smoky flavor, but not too spicy. It was also not very chunky which I prefer. For my meal I went with the Birria tacos. It came with three tacos, a side of black beans, and rice. The tacos were delicious. The meat had a good flavor and they provided plenty of the Birria sauce to dip them in. They play started to get packed around 1 o'clock when we were leaving. I'll be interested in coming back for a happy hour or a late night evening to sit at the bar.

The menu offers breakfast plates, salads, soups, tacos/burritos/flautas and other Mexican eats, house specialties, such as pupusas, pollo ala francesca, siete mares, etc., various sides, and drinks. We came here and ordered a take-out: +a cheese pupusa - this was well-made, as it had the nice crisp exterior; it came with a bag of curtido and sauce - the sauce was a great complement the pupusa, and it was thicker/chunkier than the usual +carne asada tacos - simple, tasty tacos; the carne asada was slightly overcooked, but the green spicy sauce really brought this together; I loooved the grilled scallion stalks that came on top - YUM! +horchata - probably one of the best horchatas I've had - not at all grainy, but smooth and super refreshing; comes in medium- or large-sized (get the large - you'll thank me later!) Everything was made-to-order and came out piping hot! Service was very friendly - for a carry-out, you just order up at the cashier and wait for your order to be ready. There were also many patrons who called ahead for a pick-up. I'd love to try their seafood pasta next time, as well as return for their tacos/pupusas/horchata! Plenty of seats inside, and plenty of parking in the strip plaza lot. Easily accessible off of Powers Lane. +good, simple tacos +great green spicy sauce! +good pupusas! +yummy horchata! +friendly service! +plenty of parking
