Linsy's Hispanic Store is a little market and a restaurant in the same building; to your left is the mart, and to the right is a large dining area where you can order and enjoy your food. The menu offers breakfast plates, salads, soups, tacos/burritos/flautas and other Mexican eats, house specialties, such as pupusas, pollo ala francesca, siete mares, etc., various sides, and drinks. We came here and ordered a take-out: +a cheese pupusa - this was well-made, as it had the nice crisp exterior; it came with a bag of curtido and sauce - the sauce was a great complement the pupusa, and it was thicker/chunkier than the usual +carne asada tacos - simple, tasty tacos; the carne asada was slightly overcooked, but the green spicy sauce really brought this together; I loooved the grilled scallion stalks that came on top - YUM! +horchata - probably one of the best horchatas I've had - not at all grainy, but smooth and super refreshing; comes in medium- or large-sized (get the large - you'll thank me later!) Everything was made-to-order and came out piping hot! Service was very friendly - for a carry-out, you just order up at the cashier and wait for your order to be ready. There were also many patrons who called ahead for a pick-up. I'd love to try their seafood pasta next time, as well as return for their tacos/pupusas/horchata! This spot is hidden at the back of a little complex off of Route 40. One wouldn't even know it was there until you were looking for it. I only found out about it through word of mouth from a friend. Linsy's is a little market full of Hispanic goods with another section for their restaurant. We wanted to try everything and so we did. Lengua Tacos, Pupasas, fresh chicharrones and the all-star Siete Mares (seafood pasta). The lengua is on point. Due to high cost, a lot of my favorite taco places don't sell the lengua anymore, so it was fantastic to find Linsy's has them and doesit well. Pupusas were good and reheats well if you take it home. Now, the Siete Mares. I wasn't expecting to come to Hispanic restaurant and ordering the pasta. There are 7 kinds of seafood: shrimp, clams, mussels, squid, scallops, ... and crab meat? Hmm, now that I think about it, I'm not sure what the seventh one was. Whatever it was, the portion was huge. The seafood is not fresh out of the sea - frozen, but still pretty tasty(no freezer burn here!). The sauce is a bit like a rose sauce with that seafood umami. Amazing. Depending on who you get at the register, there could be a bit of a language barrier, but with some pointing at the menu and broken Spanglish, we were able to get our order in. Prices were decent. You can get a filling meal for under 10, or splurge and get a bunch of items. read more

I found Linsy's one day while I was working from home via the Grubhub app. I was looking for something different to eat for breakfast, so why not order a Mexican breakfast? Boy, did I make the right decision! The Chilaquiles Rojos served with black beans and eggs was amazing! I've even ordered the same meal with a side of chicken to having a more filling plate. They chicken nachos are equally as amazing. They top the nachos with so much goodness, you really need a fork to eat them. Ordered 5 different tacos as well as chicken enchiladas. The street tacos were some of the best in area. Ordered lengua, fish, Shrimp, Chorizo and al pastor. Al pastor was only one that I didn't like because I thought meat was overcooked and texture was off, plus flavor was lacking compared with other al pastor I've had at places like tacos El Gordo in Vegas. Tomatillo salsa was very flavourful and spicy. Enchilada was also not my favorite due to sauce tasting too much like tomato sauce. Still HIGHLY recommend this place for the tacos. read more

The fajita and the nachos are amazing!!!! The fajita comes with beans, rice and corn tortillas (handmade tortillas) the nachos come with cheese, protein and crema (not to be confused with sour cream) this is a must go if you're looking for Hispanic food. This is a hidden gem and if you read this you need to go Try it! I've never dined in but there is plenty of space and from the last time I was there they had renovated the restaurant section. This place has the best pupusa I've tried in town. The service is good and so are the prices. Every time I go in there I see a lot of people who look happy with their meal and service. This place was pretty solid. I look forward to coming back. My wife and I got a sampling of tacos (al pastor and carne asada - both really good) and pupusas de loroco, queso, y frijoles. They seem to make the pupusas to order, so you can have multiple ingredients in them. The loroco was a little more vegetal than I'm accustomed to, but it was otherwise fine. My wife got the Desayuno Típico. I was grateful that the woman behind the counter asked how we wanted the eggs cooked too. My wife enjoyed the beans, tortilla, and eggs but more than anything, she loved the fried plantains. My wife said she wants to go back and order "sólo plátanos. TODOS los plátanos." I swiped a couple; they are very well done. A cup of sweet horchata, and you're good to go! The rest of the store has some staples in Latino cuisine. We got some achiote paste to make tacos al pastor at home. They also sell cheap tamales to go. The people are very friendly; I'm not sure the extent of their English, but I'm sure they are happy to work with anyone who comes in. This is a hole in the wall Mexican place located on route 40 where the Popeyes is. When you walk in, it looks like a convenience store almost. You have to walk to the back to order food. They have tables and chairs if you wanted to sit and eat here. My usuals are two tacos and nachos. When I first came here, the person recommended lengua tacos which I tried very hesitantly because I was put off by the whole tongue meat thing. The lengua tacos are probably the beF tacos they have here and one of my favorite tacos I've ever had. I also order chicken nachos if I come here with other. It's the percent thing to get for a table to share. The chicken nachos is a very big meal and you could honestly get full just off that. They grill the meat in the back so it does take some time for the food to come out depending on your order. Stop by here if you haven't and try their food. It's always top notch. read more

I just tried Linsy's and was not disappointed. Great portions. Quality, fresh, and delicious food. I ordered two pupusas - cheese/bean and cheese/Loroco. I wasn't sure what to expect, but it sounded delicious and it was! The sweetness of the corn works so well with the cheesy fillings. They come with a spicy slaw and red sauce. The whole bite together is amazing! I will order these again. We also got a steak burrito mojado. It was smothered in a flavorful creamy red sauce. The filling was well seasoned. Ot comes with a small side salad with crisp lettuce, fresh tomato, sliced avocado, cream and pico de galo. Last but not least, a shrimp burrito served with the same fresh veggies in the side. Catonsville has a new place for great grub to try. Thanks on Yelp for suggesting this place I decided to land on Lindy's for lunch.the deli/restaurant is in the back of the market. The market itself is filled with with interesting chips, soda and other foods so get your order in before you start shopping! The woman at the counter was friendly and handed me a menu. I didn't need a lot of time. I settled on pupsas, tortas, and flautas all to go. Then went to shop around and picked up some snacks of course. The food was flavorful, fresh, and really different then most of what I find in the area. This is second trip worthy for sure. read more

Linsy's was fantastic. Being a big fan of latin american food and growing up in Honduras, this place really took me back. We ordered the sopa de mariscos, pupusas revueltas, bistec and baleadas. Everything was really well made. The sopa de mariscos was super rich, pretty sweet and you get a good amount of seafood in there as well. The broth was delicious. Pupusas were fantastic. Found this little gem and was not disappointed! I ordered carne asada tacos and bean toastadas, all were delicious and gave me the comfort of my grandma's home cooking in Southern California. The taste of the tacos can only be equated to....super delicious party in my mouth Definitely ask for the pickled habanero onions (it's not too spicy) and the green sauce if you are into spicy. Tried for first time because of the rave reviews. Glad to know beforehand it was inside a market of some sort. At the back, the eatery is set up with a few tables and chairs. Five stars from some great food ! When you walk in,you first see a small store and you walk back to where the restaurant in. There are about 8-10 tables . I could tell this is a very local/ community friendly type of store. The staff were super friendly and answered all of our questions which was great. I ordered the grilled shrimp with rice and plantains. Man it was everything and more ! I could tell that the chef in the back put a lot of love in their meals. Linsy's Store in Catonsville is a casual Mexican restaurant where the tacos match anything around here. Evan Brown of Portalli's gave me a gift when he told me that the guys who work in his kitchen swear by Linsy's when they want Mexican food. Now, I can share the gift with you. These are ideal tacos. Soft, pliable tortillas with corn flavor. Savory meats -- a little char to the barbacoa and a nice grill on the chicken. Then talented fresh toppings -- cilantro for flavor, a cooked green onion and sliced radish for crunch, and a fiery green salsa to squirt on yourself. Linsy's sits on Rte 40 in Catonsville. Until Evan, I had driven past dozens of times coming home from H Mart. The market is hidden behind a Popeye's franchise. The restaurant is hidden in the back of the store. You need to search the place out if you like R&R Taqueria in Jessup or Tere's Latin Market in Ellicott City. I love both those places, and Linsey's are just as delicious. Different kitchens. Different meats and garnishes. But this was a perfect lunch of two tacos and horchata that they ladled from a pitcher into my cup. You can't beat fresh tacos. The flavors pop off the plate. The salsa alone would have made the meal. They have basic chicken, beef and pork tacos, although they didn't have pork when I visited. The Spanish menu also lists tongue and options that translate into "ear" and "assorted." I can't recommend this enough. Even if you don't love this as much as I do, you can eat for $10. Linsy's offered a full Mexican menu with counter service. They had a range of dishes from small tacos or tostadas to full meals like grilled pork, seafood soup, enchiladas, or al pastor shrimp. They do breakfast. I ate lunch on a Sunday, and the six tables were full of kids and families. While you're at Linsy's for tacos, check out the other business nearby. Patel Brothers is an Indian grocery with vegetables, rices, spices, and other Indian items. Next door is Paradise Biryani Pointe, which I added to my "to do list. Biryani is an Indian rice dish, and the menu has a bunch of dishes that are new to me. read more

Great place! There's a market in the front but if you keep walking back you get to the hidden gem of a restaurant in the back! We had the burrito, tacos, and the flautas. I would definitely recommend trying the tacos with 2-3 different kinds of meats! Ask for the green sauce, extra limes, and the habanero pickled onions if you're into condiments! Don't order from them on Uber Eats you will not get any sauce with your food. If you're a person who enjoys they're food with some salsa or sauce on the side just go to the location and pick it up. Whoever prepares the order for delivery clearly does not know how to read requests for extra sauce or simply does not care. NOTE: Only gave 3 stars because I only ordered 1 item. That one item was delicious though! I admit, I initially popped into this place in a desperate bid to find a restroom. However, since I am one of those people who feels obligated to buy something from a store if I'm going to use their restroom, I decided to order something from the little restaurant in the back. It was unexpected to see this back there, since for all intents and purposes the entire front of the store looks like a bodega. But it was there nonetheless, complete with a few cute tables and a glass case full of the most glorious and Food Network-esque roasted pork. Since I was getting something to go, I decided to order a half-pound of pork carnita. I figured it would make me a few sandwiches over the course of the week. What I didn't expect, however, was a chance to talk to the owner about his plans for the little 4 table restaurant. A glance at the menu feels like you're visiting a friends house while their abuela stirs up something delicious in a pot; the portion sizes are generous and everything looks traditional and filling. The food here has a lot of heart that you can not only taste, but that you can see in the eyes of the people working there. I'm deaf. On March 8, 2020, I simply ordered one taco. I waited for my order for over 30 mins. I approached Karen, the server about my order. She wasn't friendly. She checked with the cook. It turned out my order was forgotten! The cook looked at me laughing when I gestured, "What happened to my order?" Very bad service. I noticed the cook didn't wear gloves while cooking. :o read more
