My first time ordering, I was told by my sister that this place is good... just okay for me Looking at the menu I couldn't decided whether to get the Gyro or Falafel. I ended up getting the Gyro and a side of Falafel for my mother. She said it wasn't very good and the gyro was just okay, sorry I've had better. The RICE is very good though. Oh yes also we got the grape leaves and pistachio cake for dessert. They were also just okay. The cake had basically no flavor I won't say do better bc there was nothing wrong here. It just wasn't for me read more

This place is just ok. I was hoping this place would be better. The flavors here are good, but the beef is too dry and the portions are too small for the price. read more

July 20th, I experienced the worst Mediterranean food ever! Lived in Dearborn, MI for years so I have a decent palate on what to actually expect. The lamb was tough and gamey, the rice was bland and dry and last but not least, the garlic sauce was nothing like I've encountered before. Very disappointed. Don't waste your time because this is not a true representation. Curious if the owner is even Lebanese or Iraqi because if he or she is, someone needs to make major corrections to represent their culture adequately. read more

Awesome food!!! I don't like Mediterranean food at all and I can't stop craving for this place! They are just too good! Flavors for all the dishes are different and balanced! I am a regular here read more

I like the fava bean pitas.... But the service is not very good. The Turkish coffee is not good and the service was not friendly. I rather go to Temple Terrace to get quality authentic food. read more

I I was craving A shawarma, and since my husband and I were near The Krates, we decided to try El Prince. When we walked in, the cashier was cleaning tables, so she gave me a minute before taking my order. At first, I thought they were closing soon, but they still had an hour left, so I didn't feel bad ordering. I went with the chicken shawarma meal with light pickles. Right away, I felt the meal was overpriced but given the location, I didn't mind too much. My food arrived quickly, but when I started eating, I noticed there were no pickles at all, even though I had only asked for light pickles. The portion of chicken was disappointing, and there wasn't much sauce, making the shawarma feel lacking--especially for the price. On the bright side, the fries were fresh and hot, which I appreciated. Overall, while the food wasn't terrible, the small portion of chicken and high price left me disappointed. I'm not sure I'd return. read more

So this was my first time getting to try this place and I was very surprised by both the price and the quality of the food. They had such a wide variety of things to try so I decided on something I've never had before. I decided to order the sujuk sandwich with onions and peppers. The sausage was absolutely packed with flavor and had a nice bit of spice without being overpowering so without being able to compare it with something I've had before I can only say that it was delicious and I would love to try it again. The staff were very friendly and helped me decide because I was unaware of some of the menu items. read more

Yummy Mediterranean food! It's a bit pricier than what you can get in temple terrace area but that's expected for its location. The menu has a great variety for whatever you are craving and there are vegan options as well. The spicy torshi is a must to cut through the richness of the food, I definitely recommend adding that to your order. The tablet has plenty of pictures so you can see what you're ordering and the food came out quickly. I'm definitely coming back to try more of the menu. read more

Stopped by just because of the items offered on the menu before heading home (2 hr drive)...tiny lil place like all of the places here, but with BIG flavors! We ordered the stuffed grape leaves for the appetizer and then I got the beef shawarma bowl with rice and my hubby got the Egyptian Sujuk sandwich and fries. I had wanted a gyro, but he said lunch just wiped them out and they were expecting more supplies coming soon...I said if they made it there before we ate and left, I'd take one to go. Baklava is coming for dessert! Talk about FABULOUS...their food here is just that...FABULOUS, FANTASTIC and some of the most delicious we've had anywhere in this area and indeed, even at home! Soooooo flavorful and SOOOO delicious! The rice was moist, well seasoned and so good it could've stood alone...then adding that beef shawarma on top with its own seasoning and the drizzle on top of that...WOW! Out of this world...I'm almost speechless because I keep falling back on words like fabulous and fantastic...I'm grasping for words beyond that...and they're just not there right now. We may have spent alot more than we expected to, but we're actually taking two bowls HOME WITH US...lmao!! One of the beef shawarma and one of the Egyptian Sujuk with rice instead of the sandwich he got initially. If you want deeply delicious, satisfying and fresh cooked food that's just a little different from your normal fare...quick meals without any of that fast food downfall...compromised quality and taste -- yeah, you won't find that here -- you are gonna have your socks knocked off...come take a chance! If this isn't something you've ever tried (I have, but my husband hadn't and is always reluctant to eat anything *I* like lol), rest assured, you WILL like this. He tried both meals and loved them both. They are very very helpful with suggesting good items and explaining anything on the menu. I would also suggest you just park in the big parking lot and walk the short distance to the restaurant. Go out on a limb...try the lamb shank that takes 6 hours for them to cook and another day to marinade prior to cooking...if we didn't have to go right now, I'd stay in the area and come back here again tomorrow!! read more

It is about 3.5 stars restaurant. The restaurant is popular in the Krate. When we were there, there were many customers. One thing for sure is the price is high compared to the quantity of food provided. I have one side with mixed grille. The mixed grille is only three skews. It has chicken, Kafta, and beef. It come with rice. In compare to many Mediterranean food, flavor is in the middle of the pack. Grilled skills also in the middle of the pack due lack of juicy in the meat. Wait time need to allow them more time to cook read more

My wife and I, like to spend time at Krates since there is always something going on! All kinds of live music events, fresh markets, etc. On our last visit we grabbed an early dinner. One thing I like while visiting Krate is that there is lots of eating choices and places you can sit to enjoy. I was in the food for Mediterrean food, so I got my dinner at El Prince Restaurant while my wife decided to order a small plate from Mojo Grill. We sat together one of the outdoor tables and enjoyed our meal while being entertained by the crowds. I had a Gyro sandwich and it truly represented! I felt the freshness and side was much better than I had experience in other places in the Tampa area! Well, worth a visit to El Prince! read more

El Prince Restaurant - P - Mediterranean Near Me - Wesley Chapel, Florida

Finally, it's taken a handful of years for me to have a Mediterranean place near me that I love. There use to be one on 54 and Curley Rd. In Wesley Chapel and they were the nicest family and their food was so good. Finally, El Prince has opened in the Krates at the Grove. This is at the new food park in Wesley Chapel. So happy to have their food so close to home. This food is so good! I can't get over how much good flavor is in it. I shared the lamb shish kebabs with my friend. Along with that is rice and salad, and it's not the ordinary stuff. It all tastes excellent. Mixing the salad with the rice elevates this flavor too. We also ordered the beef schwarma with fries. I thought I would need a garlic sauce which I usually get elsewhere. It already had a great sauce and it was perfect. I can't say I liked either of them better because they were equally amazing. Remember if you read my reviews, I get sooo happy when I have good food especially when I don't have that type of food often. This is it. Try El Prince and don't look back. Now, if you are on a time crunch, I would suggest calling and ordering it ahead of time. Food takes a bit of time to prepare, but you can tell the freshness and the flavor. read more

We were craving for Falafel and decided to order Falafel and French Fries from El Prince Restaurant. The service was good and we got our food in 10 minutes. Good falafel sandwich and very friendly service! Relatively fast, and comfortable seating.

I broke the first rule of Yelping and I forgot to take a picture. I was too hungry. I got the falafel el prince but subbed tzatziki instead of tahini - I like it better. For $8 this sandwich was full. Tasted really good too. Great falafel and a filling sandwich at a good price. They have some tables indoors and outside. Cute area with lots of shops and restaurants. read more

First time trying this place here at the grove. I ordered chicken kebab, three generous pieces of dark meat, chicken, seasoned to perfection you can taste the char from grilling with hot steamy, yellow rice, crispy vegetables, and a side white sauce , which apply to the chicken made it more rich. $14.97 later I will order this again. read more

The service was great and the food is delicious. However I felt the portion sizes were small. I am a person that normally has leftovers everywhere I go but here I was able to finish my entire meal. Goodness where to start... we ordered food from three different food joints in this new little strip and this was probably the one I was most excited for and most disappointed by. FOOD I ordered the chicken shawarma sandwich. Now I have ordered this same menu item from multiple different Mediterranean places and it ALWAYS comes on a naan/ pita type of bread.. this came on some kinda multigrain wrap? Almost like a whole wheat tortilla? And it was not good at all. This wrap also typically comes with pickled veggies and garlic sauce- well I didn't notice any garlic sauce on my wrap and they charged me .99 for a cup of sauce that was about the size of a half dollar.. i was also disappointed that the pickles were literally from a jar from a store... the vibe I got was that this was someone's "improvised" chicken shawarma that they threw together using whatever was in their kitchen at 3 AM.. the garlic sauce really didn't have much flavor to it either.. it honestly kinda tasteless. PORTIONS For $15 and some change I expect more than a kid sized handful of mediocre fries.. the garlic sauce needs to be amped up and a cup that size should be closer to a .25 up charge- not a dollar... Honestly I don't know if I'd try anything else from this particular restaurant.. especially when there are almost 20 different competitor companies within a 5 minute stroll of the plaza. read more

Great Mediterranean food at The Krate. The menu details the ingredients in each dish and the staff are more than happy to give you more information if it's your first time here. The wait is a bit long compared with other spots here, but the food is delicious, very flavorful. I had the falafel wrap. The falafel has a great texture and we're accompanied by a nice spicy sauce. I finally found a good Gyro place in Tampa. It only took 1 billion years but I found it. This place is fantastic. I got a Gyro platter and my wife got a chicken Shawarma sandwich which basically means I got both of them. The Shawarma comes with pickles as good as any major city that I've been in. i my Gyro platter had plenty of Gyro on it and I was full long before finishing my new. The Taziki was creamy but not overwhelming. The restaurant was clean and the service was fantastic and welcoming. I'd come back any day. They also have lamb shank, which looks amazing. read more

Came here for the first time a couple days ago and ordered the mixed platter, it took about 20 minutes for them to prepare it, which I was fine with since it came out piping hot, the portions were ok if you're anything but middle eastern. The chicken was good the kifta was ok but on the slim side and the steak kabobs were on the tough side with a nice piece of tough fat going down the center all in all I don't think it was $20 worth. Another problem is the inconsistency my brother went there today and everything was put into one container effectively making the portions even smaller. Definitely not worth $16 read more

A recent addition to the Krates at the Grove, El Prince was definitely a needed restaurant in the area. First, the place is clean and inviting, and very friendly service. My mixed grill was a mini feast of shish tawook, shish kebab, and kefta kebab, served over a bed of seasoned yellow rice and mixed grilled peppers. Each item was well seasoned and tender. The rice was a medley of light middle eastern spices. Baba ganoush had the right amount of smokiness. I found my new go to spot for my middle eastern cravings. read more

El Prince Restaurant - Mixed Grill and Baba Ganoush - Mediterranean Near Me - Wesley Chapel, Florida

I'm not sure how this place received so many 4 & 5 star reviews... all I can think of is that they ate at a different restaurant. We ordered baba ganoush, cucumber salad, and a fallafel wrap. The total was just shy of $30. Firstly, the portions were minuscule. There was less than a cup each of the cucumber salad & baba ganoush. The salad basically just tasted like sour cream with some minced cucumber mixed in. Meanwhile, the baba ganoush was a thin gelatinous paste that was equally tasteless. As for the fallafel wrap -- it was just a little larger than a Taco Bell burrito; I'd be surprised if there were more than two fallafels in it. The only thing giving it any flavor was the pickle & onion. First impression will probably be our last. read more

If I could give 6 stars I would! My son was craving Mediterranean food and we found this little gem at Krate. There was something for everyone, our meat eaters and vegetarians. I absolutely love this place, from the food to service, it is always top tier. The food is always out in a reasonable time and customer service is always doing as much as possible to accommodate my needs. I without a doubt, will return again. And compared to the other crates, the place utilizes its space very well. Me, I personally work at Ato and I will always go across the street for the amazing food here! read more

THE SERVICE : JUST HORRIBLE, we came in at 6:30pm and ordered a Chicken Shwarma bow and a Jyro bowl. I have Seldom seen such poor customer service. The young blonde girl that works there is RIDICULOUSLY RUDE and treated everyone like we were on her nerves walking in 30 minutes before close. I asked for onions on my food (which it should come with anyway) and she said "I'll see what I can do! When it came out without them I asked her for them and she said "Ma'am we're about to close and we're extremely busy" and we close in 30 minutes! I looked around and said really because there's only about 6 people in here and we're 2 of them. When I asked for a knife and she had an attitude about that! The cashier was extremely annoyed with every customer that ordered and asked for anything and spoke to them very rudely ! All the customers were looking around at each other like WTH??!!! THE FOOD: honestly the most bland and dried up Mediterranean I have EVER had! Rice was dry, chicken was dry, gyro tasted OLAD AND HARD and all of it was mediocre garbage at best! My husband was given a chicken wrap which was the guys order behind us. We looked in the box and told her it was wrong then she yelled back in the kitchen "this guy wanted a bowl can you make the bowl" then she came back to the table 5 minutes later and asked us did we eat out the box. When we said no she yelled to the lady in the kitchen "they didn't touch it so we can resell it" I was like OMG WHAT!!!!! Then she turned around and served it to the table right behind us! We didn't even eat the food because it was straight up as nasty as her attitude! There's WAYYYY too many places to eat around there to be bothered with this! Do yourself a favor and GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! I have NO IDEA how this place has this many good reviews! Nasty attitude, NASTY DRIED UP CHICKEN AND RICE and Nasty hygiene practices to go with it! Listen to me now or believe me later. NEVER AGAIN!!! read more

Stopped in at the new Mediterranean restaurant at the karate this afternoon for a late lunch. Food was really good. My brother had the gyro, sister-in-law had the chicken swarma and I had the mixed plate. Everything was very tasty and filling.
