I was confused, because I was like, What do you mean your chips and salsa aren't like chips and salsa? But I get it now, and they really aren't. The chips are totopos, and the salsa is a very flavorful, thin pureed sauce that has been cooked or roasted-- not sure exactly how they make it, but there is cooking and technique involved for sure. They were SO GOOD. So delicious-- I have an Oaxaca restaurant nearish me, and now I can't wait to try it. I ordered the ceviche, which came with the totopos. I asked for more salsa verde and glad I did. They do charge for extra salsa (if your order comes with it, they give you a little of each the red and green). Glad I did because it was SO GOOD. I licked the container for real. If I ever come back to Covington it would be to come here and have the exact same thing. I took a star off because I didn't like the service.

The server brought me a lid and I asked if could have an extra. He told me the extra would cost $1.50. For 2 tablespoons of sauce? No thanks. I had the blackened ranch from Popeyes leftover so I used that and it was free. I'm sorry but a small 2T of sauce isn't worth charging for. While the food was delicious that was a bit of a turn off.

This was the worse slop I've ever eaten at a Mexican restaurant, and to boot, the meal cost $20 for three al a carte items and a small side of rice. At the counter, I asked for a small side of their spiciest salsa (which I always do) and they up-charged me $2 for a literally a single two ounce serving of what appeared to be their house salsa with a ton of guess what....a handful of chili powder in it. Their prices are absolute highway robbery for the quality of food they are serving, and it's quite obvious that since they are the only Mexican restaurant in this entire county, they are gouging the local Caucasian population that doesn't know any better. At this quality, their prices should be half of what they are, and if that were the case, you still wouldn't find me eating there. You'll get no more chances from me, you low-quality scam artists.
