I've been here using the drive-thru several times. I can't comment on the interior. Parking looks plentiful. It's in a good location that's easy to find right off the freeway. The wait time has never been too long. The food has been consistently good. My orders were correct. I will say it seems they run out of items more than other places I've been. Maybe it's just a more popular/busy location. Most recently I ordered a shrimp tostada salad. There was a good amount of shrimp! For me El Pollo Loco is one of the less unhealthy fast food joints. This location has been pretty solid. So I'll probably keep coming back every couple months when the mood strikes. read more

I've only eaten inside once, but the place was clean and had low traffic, which made the experience relaxing and enjoyable. As someone who prefers routine, I usually order the same thing, and their chicken tostada salad with creamy cilantro dressing never disappoints! My daughter can be picky, so she enjoys one of the chicken meals. Overall, if you're looking for a quick bite, you're sure to find something you like. read more

The food is always fresh and delicious. The employees, staff, manager and workers are all very friendly and helpful. I go fo dine in at least once a week. Date: Monday, July 29th, 2024 What: Dinner Takeout Party of: 2 Ordered: via El Pollo Loco website Time Ordered: around 8:45pm Time Ready: about 15 mins later *Classic Double Chicken Chopped Salad: a la carte, Chopped Chicken & Baja Shrimp (+$1), Creamy Cilantro Dressing, no Pepitas ($12.49) *4 pc Half Chicken Meal: small Rice, small Mashed Potatoes with Gravy, 4 Flour Tortillas ($15.79) *Shredded Chicken Crunchy Taco: a la carte, 1 taco ($3.89) *Chicken Taco Al Carbon: a la carte, 1 taco ($3.49) The hubby and I stopped to get gas and decided to grab dinner in the area. He suggested El Pollo Loco. Since I've never tried, we decided to get takeaway from here. Using the website was pretty easy for a pickup order. Tho this location has a drive thru and that wasn't an option when ordering. When we got home, we realized my salad was missing the shrimp! We were a ways away, so it wasn't worth it to go back. At least it was only a dollar. The salad was pretty good. I actually liked the dressing. Creamy, but not too heavy. Good amount of chicken as well. I also enjoyed the tacos. Especially the crunchy one. And it stayed crispy thru our 1.5 hour transport. The chicken meal was the most disappointing. I didn't enjoy the chicken at all. It was pink, a little slimy, and not much smokey flavor. The hubs seemed to enjoy it tho. But he ate it with the sides and tortillas. I just tried the chicken by itself. Good salads and tacos, but I didn't care for the chicken meal. Even out to 3 stars, but minus one for forgetting the shrimp I paid for. REVIEW #3504 read more

I had a really disappointing experience at this location. The chicken was honestly one of the worst I've ever had, the texture was rubbery and almost impossible to chew, like it had been sitting out way too long. The taste was off too, and within a short time of eating it I started feeling nauseous. It got bad enough that I ended up getting sick, my partner did as well. He vomited shortly after finishing his meal, which was really concerning. What makes this even more frustrating is that I've had El Pollo Loco at another location before and it was actually really good, so I know this isn't how it's supposed to be. This experience just felt like a complete lack of quality control and care. Definitely won't be returning to this location. read more

I'm surprised why El Pollo Loco is not more popular because the chicken is delicious. I've been going to various El Pollo Loco and occasionally I'd have cravings for it. I came to this particular one at Nut Tree because it's was the closest one near the freeway while driving back from Oregon. The drive thru was very efficient and the servers there are friendly and patient. The chicken is very tender and juicy. I just wish there are options to order smaller number of chicken pieces without sides. The kids meal is probably the best deal on the menu if you want a quick bite. read more

THE BEST! I have been here MANY times and the orders are always 5/5. Quality, portions, customer service, taste. This is the best pollo loco Location on the I-80. Even my fiance is hooked. We have visited other locations and quality is not like this one. read more

Mobile ordered for an hour ahead pick up. Order was not ready. I figured an hour was sufficient time to drive from Davis to Vacaville to pick up what my dad requested for lunch today. Apparently not, I ordered their 12 pc meal, side of chips and queso. If it wasn't because it's what my dad wanted for his birthday lunch, I would have just picked up food in Davis on my way to his house. I had to ask 3 times as other people arriving after me. I had a cake in the car that needed to be refrigerated to top it off. I got my food an hour past my scheduled pick up time. read more

I was in a pinch looking for a healthy fast food alternative on a late night drive. Thankfully El Pollo Loco is open a little later, and I was able to pick up a Double Pollo Fit bowl at the Vacaville location drive-thru. The food was delicious- and nutritious ;-) and the staff were friendly and courteous, offering me extra napkins and making sure there were utensils in the bag. The location is just off I-80, so after I ate it was very easy to get back on the road read more

About 80% of the time this food is excellent. The other 20% the chicken is overcooked and chewy. If I ask for "not very cooked" there's a better chance of the chicken being juicy. read more

I heard El Pollo Loco had a new birria burrito and taco... I decided I needed to give this a try. The wait was a bit extensive they must have been understaffed because it took a good 20+ minutes to make it through the drive thru... and indoor seating is closed. The staff seems nice enough they definitely try and upsell you chips guacamole soda... I get it but it is annoying, you get the comb then they try and upsell the chips and guacamole.. From a business point of view it must work for them. But for the customer who just wants to try something new get in and out of there... it's annoying. Now the good part... I tried the burrito... I maybe should have gone with the tacos but I wanted to try something different. It was pretty good. The meat was very good but I didn't get the same birria vibes I do at other restaurants.... This was almost like a pot roast meat just with a little bit of flare. Nonetheless it was still very good and would be worth ordering again. read more

When you come to the drive through here, speak loudly because they can barely hear your order. Seems like a pretty popular spot. There was a line when I got there and a long line behind me. I'm confused at the moment with the Double Protein Avocado Pollo Fit Bowl because another location had black beans in it but when I looked at the menu again it doesn't have it. Ok so I tried it and it's either really good with black beans but this was just ok. When I come back I with try the Double Protein Fajita Pollo Fit Bowl and see if that was what I had before and what is weird is because the first time I had the avocado pollo fit it was an online order so why did they get it wrong? Well I guess I must try them all. read more

I ordered corn tortillas which came with my dish. There were none when we got home. My wife ordered ranch dressing for her salad. The package of ranch dressing was already torn open when we got home, rendering it unusable or at least unsafe to use. Overall the service was careless and even dangerous. read more

The food was good, but the general manager (a worker said her name is Victoria, but I heard people calling her Gabby) is a total dick and gives shitty-ass customer service, by far the worst I've ever seen, and it isn't just to me; when I'm in line, she gives attitude and acts like a bitch to other customers. Everyone else there is cool, don't get me wrong, but the way she acts throws off the atmosphere and makes it seem like a hostile and negative place to be. I love this place, but how do you guys allow someone like this, represent your restaurant as a general manager?? A general manager should be professional and not act like a toddler throwing a fit read more

Let me start by saying I really love El Pollo Loco in general. The chicken is flavorful, juicy, and delicious. The sides like the corn, rice, and beans are solid. Some warm tortillas and salsa and I'm set. This location is particularly good because Anthony is really professional, attentive, and friendly. He was super nice, made sure we had all the salsa we wanted, and was hustling cleaning and making sure the place looked good. Last time I went I got the poblano quesadilla and it was packed with freshly toasted peppers, chicken, and cheese. It was fantastic. read more

I found a coupon for El pollo Loco, feed 2 peeps for $12.00. 2 legs 2 thighs 2 sides 2 salads 4 flour tortillas 4 small containers Pico de Gallo. And 2 churros 1 drink total cost $13.90 out the door. Chicken was good everything was good except the rice and salad dressing had no flavor , tip.. order other side instead of rice, ask for no dressing bring your own. Churros were really good and hot out of fryer .good little treat after meal. I made two burritos tore chicken off bone put in flour tortillas add beans and rice top with Pico de Gallo was good. I would go back won't rush over there, but would go back read more

I was shorted an item, when I went in to ask for my item, the lady up front said "I'll be with you in a sec" and then continued to put together 8 orders in front of my face while I waited. This lady behind me in line finally spoke up when a cook came over to take our order. The lady up front seems like she only cares about the food but could give a care less about the people buying the food. As I write this review, the lady is STILL back turned, yet to turn back around and NOT helping everyone in line read more

Hoy fue mi primera ves comiendo en este restaurante y me dio mucha alegría al ver que me atendieron en español. Siempre que voy a otros lugares por el derive thru nunca me atienden pero aquí si! Went in this past Saturday morning and was pleasantly surprised with how much the restaurant has improved over the past years. I was a loyal customer before Covid and after I stopped visiting due to management changes and other changes in service. I must say the food and environment was almost as great as I remember it being if not BETTER! I was pleased to see some familiar faces and all cashiers had smiles on their faces. In terms of food, the chicken was the best I've ever had and the portions of their rice and Mac and cheese were very good for the cost. I will say I'm glad the quality and service has improved to match the prices! I will once again be a loyal customer and continue to recommend this location read more

Good morning All, I just wanted to share my thoughts and review... I eat almost every day at Pollo Loco. Now a-days It is very hard to find a place where the food is good and healthy. They definitely give Excellent Customer service up front in dining area and Drive-Thru... in addition, they are very professional staff (Sesha) and managers(Victoria). Restaurant is always very clean... including the restrooms, Food is always great! I will give it 5-Stars! People usually just post when they want to complaint, I personally think if you talk to the manager she would make it right, after all we all human and make mistakes occasionally. Kudos to EL POLLO LOCO Store3685 keep up the good work. Customer Order#371 Victor read more

One of my favorite go to fast food joints. My go to meals are the Double Chicken tostada (need that protein), $5 chicken nachos, Avocado Chicken Burrito, and their mixed piece family meals. No vegetarian options since getting rid of their (not so great) plant based meat. But now provide absolutely no options. I asked for and paid for avocado instead of chicken and I received (1) sliver of avocado in each of my street tacos. Literary (1) avocado slice for each taco. There were (3) tacos. I won't go waste my time or money on El Pollo Loco again! read more

We ordered a burrito, we did not taste any flavor in the burrito. It was the most basic tasting burrito we had ever eaten in our lives. When we tried getting our beverage out of the machine, ants came out of it into our beverage. We were given the option to get our beverages from inside where they were preparing food. I will never eat at this restaurant again. read more

So I ordered online. It said to go right inside to check- in and that my food will be ready in 6 minutes. I attempt to do just that. The dining room is locked. There is a long line at the drive through. Irritated as heck, I call the restaurant. Apparently I have to wait in the line that moves very slowly to pick up my order. . The attendant inside said he is the only person working there other than food preparers. My order is sitting on a counter getting cold. Then an employee comes out and hands someone their order curbside. when I make a stink he goes in and gets my order. I am stuck in the long line though. My food is totally cold so I asked them to remake it for me and they have agreed. Kudos to the staff but to hell with Pollo Loco. Not coming here again. Ever. read more

Service was fast and the food was better than I expected! Stopped by here with a gaggle of cousins. Ordered about 24 of their rotisserie chicken, 2 mac and cheese (mmm creamy, cheesey, gooey deliciousness), 2 mash, a burrito bowl, tacos?, and a chicken and cheese quesadilla. The workers didn't kick us out or treat us disrespectfully, even though the kids were being super rambunctious. Came here on the way to Nevada, so if you're in the neighborhood and craving rotisserie chicken (which were surprisingly tender and flavorful) like my relatives were, make a stop here. read more
