I've been here using the drive-thru several times. I can't comment on the interior. Parking looks plentiful. It's in a good location that's easy to find right off the freeway. The wait time has never been too long. The food has been consistently good. My orders were correct. I will say it seems they run out of items more than other places I've been. Maybe it's just a more popular/busy location. Most recently I ordered a shrimp tostada salad. There was a good amount of shrimp! For me El Pollo Loco is one of the less unhealthy fast food joints. Went here this afternoon I was attended with great customer service always so joyful and kind to the customers. My order was a double chicken tostada with the creamy cilantro dressing the food was astonishing and got all my utensils and salsas I asked for. I had a really disappointing experience at this location. The chicken was honestly one of the worst I've ever had, the texture was rubbery and almost impossible to chew, like it had been sitting out way too long. The taste was off too, and within a short time of eating it I started feeling nauseous. It got bad enough that I ended up getting sick, my partner did as well. He vomited shortly after finishing his meal, which was really concerning. What makes this even more frustrating is that I've had El Pollo Loco at another location before and it was actually really good, so I know this isn't how it's supposed to be. I'm surprised why El Pollo Loco is not more popular because the chicken is delicious. I've been going to various El Pollo Loco and occasionally I'd have cravings for it. I came to this particular one at Nut Tree because it's was the closest one near the freeway while driving back from Oregon. The drive thru was very efficient and the servers there are friendly and patient. The chicken is very tender and juicy. I just wish there are options to order smaller number of chicken pieces without sides. The kids meal is probably the best deal on the menu if you want a quick bite. read more

I'm confused at the moment with the Double Protein Avocado Pollo Fit Bowl because another location had black beans in it but when I looked at the menu again it doesn't have it. Went in this past Saturday morning and was pleasantly surprised with how much the restaurant has improved over the past years. I was a loyal customer before Covid and after I stopped visiting due to management changes and other changes in service. I must say the food and environment was almost as great as I remember it being if not BETTER! I was pleased to see some familiar faces and all cashiers had smiles on their faces. So I ordered online. It said to go right inside to check- in and that my food will be ready in 6 minutes. I attempt to do just that. The dining room is locked. There is a long line at the drive through. Irritated as heck, I call the restaurant. Apparently I have to wait in the line that moves very slowly to pick up my order. . The attendant inside said he is the only person working there other than food preparers. My order is sitting on a counter getting cold. Then an employee comes out and hands someone their order curbside. when I make a stink he goes in and gets my order. I am stuck in the long line though.
