If i could i give 0 stars, i would. I came up drive through at 9:50pm, drive tru is open, but they were already cleaf ning, when I came to the window they completely ignore us. Why do they have closing hours at 10pm when they dont respect that

I've been going to EPL for over 20 years and this pains me to write... it used to be sooo good here! Now...wow. The quality has taken a real nose dive, while prices increases... ordered a 10 pc, came with a side or rice, which use to be a signature item. Was very flavorful; now, it's crunchy and extremely bland; no seasoning at all! Tortillas stuck together and dry; avocado salsa used to be amazing but now, it's a hit/miss... either flavorful or green water... and their pico de gallo used to be so good... now, it's only crushed tomatoes... where's the onion, pepper and cilantro on the minimum...??? The chicken is not as flavorful either & the bowls are small. Lastly, the Cilantro Lime dressing has neither cilantro nor lime... such a bummer... $49 & not even enjoyed...

The original pollo bowl was marked as $5 but actual price is $5.59 (and no I did not get the combo). The cilantro was bad; it was all decayed and black. The rest of the meal was ok till I bit into the chicken and realized it was still pink inside. I often go to El Pollo loco when it's around me, but I think I will skip this one.

Dining closes at 9pm and Drive thru at 10pm

At that time everything was outstanding, but this time I'm not sure if we'll go back. Ambience is excellent and customer service is excellent but the food quality is not great now. I ordered tacos and the first one was extremely spicy to the point that I almost didn't want to eat the rest. I tried the second one and it wasn't spicy at all which was strange. Third one also not spicy. Very inconsistent. Quality of the food feels like it's not as good as well. I got two margaritas and the size was very small compared to other upper scale Mexican restaurants (most of it was ice) and the actual liquid was a small amount. They were tasty, but I think the alcohol content was very little. For $16-20 drinks I'd expect something with some alcohol in it and a larger portion. My girlfriend got the enchiladas and she said they were whatever. Nothing special. My friend got calamari and he said it was really fishy and sent it back. Not sure what's going on in the kitchen but they need some help. Customer service was excellent though, just the quality and size of the drinks was disappointing. Oh well. Very expensive for what you get and not worth it.

One of my favorite appetizers here are their bacon wrapped jalapeno poppers served with a blackberry jam and pickled onions...I get this pretty much every time. Lately I've been coming on Tuesdays to take advantage of their all-day Happy Hour, which is one of the best in town. Crispy carnitas tacos and the hibiscus margaritas are my go-to's, and the fresh chips and salsa served gratis are always delicious and hot. I wanted to take a moment to shout out their fantastic team of servers and bussers especially. Luna, Lindsay and Cesar have all been exceptional servers; their knowledge of the menu and their genuine kindness makes our visits that much more memorable. I don't often catch the name of the bussers, but they are extremely good at what they do. There's a few restaurants in town that hire staff and don't seem to train them well, so they struggle and it's apparent... but that's not the case here at Asada, where everyone is professional and really go above and beyond. It's easy to see how well their service flows (although the host stand could benefit from having people who are more outgoing; they seem to have timid people up there a lot, and it can be awkward when they're too timid to properly greet guests--just something I've noticed, having worked in restaurants before I tend to be hyper-aware of such things). My favorite section to get seated is the booths near the back which tend to be quieter, and also offer a nice view of the sky during the sunset and evening hours especially.

CHIPS WITH SALSA & FRIJOLES: 5/5. Generally not a frijoles person, but this one was good. BIRRIA TACOS: 5/5. Flavor was good, smoky. PORK BELLY: 3/5. Dry. Tortillas & sauces saved it. OCTOPUS: 1/5. This was definitely the culprit, as my partner and I shared every dish... except this one. I suspect it was the salad, since the octopus was fully cooked, and most food poisoning cases are from mishandled produce, which seems like a failure at a very basic level.

Very slow for a not a busy night of just 2 tables including ours, but we were fine with it. One guy was working both the bar and serving all the tables. My family member left him a standard tip for standard service (15 percent and he is of the older generation and from a different country with different tipping culture), and doesn't even know the new tipping customs of the younger people of 18 to 20 percent. Ten minutes after we left, when we were going to the game room, the waiter approached our group and made a big embarrassing scene in the lobby, demanding to know what was wrong with his service, asking why the tip wasn't 18 to 20 percent like the receipt indicated, and saying things like "I just want to know." He was very aggressive, very confrontational and highly unprofessional. And he handled the situation loudly, publicly, and unprofessionally and scared our children with his rude, aggressive way of speaking. If management wants to speak to him, he had dark brown hair shaved underneath and longer on top, brown eyes, and had a safety pin styled earring in his ear. He was fine during the dinner and we didn't observe any rude behavior and left happy and impressed with the restaurant but aggressively chasing older guests down in front of family, young kids, and other hotel patrons is beyond inappropriate and should be looked into by management.
