I've been coming here for quite some time, and usually everything tastes very delicious and yummy. Unfortunately, I have noticed something that has been a reoccurring problem.. I always get a double chicken bowl combo with flour tortilla's and they always somehow forget to give me my tortilla's :( Other than that, it's a pretty decent place. read more

Picked up a family meal to go. Most of the chicken was dry and not very flavorful. We got the mix though so I recommend the thigh pieces. The sides were lackluster and the queso portion was small. read more

If you came here to buy crazy polonecks, it'd be El Polo Loco, but that's not what's here, at all. One of my favourite chains in America because they offer great deals on very delicious fresh chicken, and it doesn't taste like fast food at all, not to mention they're very yummy, especially the very spicy green sauce that you can ask for. That sauce makes it all worthwhile. I just get the half chicken dark meat (legs n thigh only) with no sides and it's perfect for pre or post lifting, and only costs about $6. Note that if you get white meat it's considerably more money. Everything they make here tastes pretty good and this location is friendly and tasty and generous. If it wasn't such a big box chain, I'd probably give a lot of them five stars. read more

Great and reasonable food's for the price..... Mexican fast food with fast service and flavor Plenty of space for eating in or for take out or drive thru as well..... Clean and organized location with modern design for dining Decorative Mexican motif and again really good food for "Fast Food"!! Better than the same olde burger n fries routine!!! Don't understand why this place has low scores Plenty of people eating here and using drive-thru option too. read more

I had to change my review. I had ordered 2 Chicken avocado stuffed quesadillas. When I got home, I only had one in my bag. I had to return to the store to get the other one. However, I had to wait 20 minutes to get that. By the time I did get that, there were 5 people waiting for their orders. Apparently there was an internal problem, so we all had to wait for our orders. Normally, they are much better than this. El Pollo Loco reached out to me. They really took care of the problem. When a company does that, it shows they take care of their customers. Greatly appreciated! read more

Love love love this spot. Their grill chicken is awesome. I eat there for lunch 2 minutes from my office. The drive thru is quick too.

I've been to El Pollo Loco before but this is the first time that I've got some chicken from them or at least from this particular spot. I mean wtf (fudge). I got a 4 piece mixed order of chicken for $9.99..... smh Do you see the pieces I got. They look look like leftovers.... after the bbq is over....Y'know! Don't get it twisted is there gonna get eaten (cause it's good) but damn.... El Pollo Loco .... man y'all got me this time... but I won't be back to this location for sure! Customer service is 50% of great food and the other % is actually all about the food and in this case this particular location lost out on a good review from me. I guess next time I'll go to another location .... or maybe I'll go to Popeyes instead... then I'll know up front I'm getting screw'd. As if 1:59pm... I am changing my review per the automated response I received from Manager Jessica B... ??? My official rating is now just 1 . You want me to provide more detail... like the pictures aren't enough... you not a cook/chef ???? !!!!! Cause if you was you could see the details. Plus an actual personal response would have been appropriate. Not looking for a free meal. Just an explanation. Thank you for not showing me that my dollars actually mean something in the grand scheme of things. You staff was cool though ... ignorance is not an excuse for a manager but don't take it personally cause I don't know you, it's just your skill set sucks. read more

A lovely and kind lady gave us a coupon on our meal and saved us some money! Her name was Loni, she had a fantastic smile and made my day so much better with her joyful attitude alone! Also this Chickin is BOMB AS HECK! (Love the inside decor aswell). read more

We usually go here for a quick, grilled chicken meal. The chicken is always well prepared and flavorful. The menu has items such as tacos, salad, meal deal for an individual or family and little sides like Mac & cheese, rice, corn etc. They also sell chips and queso plus churros. We've never had any major issues here except for one time, we received mashed potatoes that tasted like they dumped an entire box of salt into it. Otherwise, everything has been satisfactory. The chicken is always tender with crispy skin and the sides are good too. Our child is a freak for the Mac & cheese and I'm pretty sure most kids would love that for a side for their meal. They have two kinds of tacos. One is a fresh taco that is topped with freshly chopped onions and cilantro. The other is a deep fried taco. The fried ones are supremely greasy and if you like blobs of oil in every other bite, I'd suggest skipping those. Overall, it is what it is. Another fast food place but at least the option of having grilled chicken is way better than most. read more

Food / chicken was Awesome and customer service was fast and polite ! It's great to walk in to a clean restaurant and be satisfied

Small rice and beans and small mashed potato $16.21 ‍ ......................... is good but too expensive.

Drove 30 minutes and there was no chicken at dinner time ... Have to Waite another 30 minutes..

Ordered for pickup 4:45pm wasn't ready til at least 5:00pm. On my order requested for sauce. Didn't get one sauce, utensils, or napkins.

look how gross preparing salsa on the counter right in front of customers ordering how unsanitary. the employee on the phone. This place is disgusting. Where is the owner? The manager? Where is corporate? This place needs to be shut down. This is rid that the owner does not care about how this restaurant is managed. Location: 5346 West Grand Parkway Richmond, Texas 77406 read more

DOUBLE AVOCADO SALAD w/ SHRIMP ($6.89+$2) - avocado, cotija crumbles, sweet corn, pico de gallo, sour cream and cilantro. Ingredients were fresh. They gave 8 pieces of shrimp (cooked & seasoned well (not salty) but on the smaller side) and half a small avocado. The Spanish rice didn't have much flavor, but it was cooked perfectly and not dry like some places. Pretty good, but pretty pricey! $8.89 for shrimp salad and $2 for a small rice. Total was $11.78. Too much for fast food! I like that they have healthy options though since I track my macros. It's been awhile, but I remember the chicken was good. It was quite busy on a Tuesday at noon. I counted about 10 tables dining in. There was only 1 cashier, but he was quick and very friendly. The lady forgot to include my rice (I was dining in, but check your order if you're in the drive-thru). They also have healthier drinks like Vitamin Water. read more

From look of the store it is a very clean location with a very nice staff that greets you when you walk in. I got the nachos, burrito and the chips and queso and everything tasted very good 10/10. The fajita chicken taco is listed with fajita vegetables which turns out to be bell peppers. If I had known that I would have ordered it without bell peppers. The iced tea was so old, no amount of lemon could help it. The store was new and clean. The staff was helpful and courteous. The food is Texmex fast food but the chicken on its own is not bad. If your close by give it a try but I would not drive out of the way to get to the place. read more

I rarely review a fast food restaurant... But this one was absolutely necessary to review! I would have given them zero stars if that was possible, but you have to give someone at least one star for effort I guess. They got my order wrong and then when I came back for them to fix it while I waited, they got the next order wrong as well. No one asked me if I wanted a drink while I waited. The manager did not ask me how they could make it right, a gift card or my money back. When I ask for an ice water they looked at me like I was crazy. It's just not worth it. Don't come! Go somewhere else, anywhere else but here! read more

Yup. Just one star for this El Pollo Loco. The best part about this El Pollo was probably the cashier, and even she was like 'meh' tbh. This location just doesn't have their things together at all. Here are my issues: First, I had to break it down for the cashier and show her the cheapest method to get exactly what I wanted. Second, my food took incredibly long to be prepared. I mean, come on! The chicken is already cooked, I can see it from across the room. Just cut me two breasts and a wing and scoop up some Mac & Cheese and Potatoes. Which BTW!!! They were stingy af with the portions. But yeah, I waited a good 20 minutes. Third, food was cold. All of it. Best way to piss me off is to have me wait an eternity to get my food only to have it served cold. I still ate that shit but I wasn't happy. Last and foremost, one of the employees was spraying toxic cleaning product on the grill. Yes, he was cleaning the grill but it was far too close to the food to be doing something like that. Very dangerous. Honestly, everyone here seems very clueless. Did y'all have any real training from corporate before opening? Scary how bad it is. I won't return to this location, I praise the one on Hwy 6 & West Rd. It's a smaller location but they do a much better job. read more

I want to like it, but it's really not good. I know that they have to salt their chicken, but it was bathing in it. EXTREMELY salty! Tiny chicken as well. Didn't even ask me if i want a receipt as she shut the drive through window. I wonder if they even eat the same food they serve. If you want good chicken similar to this. Visit Pollo Bravo, you won't be disappointed. read more

Service extremely slow waited in drive through for over 30 minutes and order was wring didn't give gravy with mashed potatoes salad was just iceberg lettuce with no dressing. Extremely slow. Employee in drive through needs training on customer service. No "thank you" or anything. Also trash can overflowing you can see from drive through window. read more

You know I guess I'm just a glutton for punishment. I don't frequent this restaurant often so maybe a couple years ago I arrive to place an order around dinner time and they don't have any chicken available to sell! I said, "what"? That's what you sell! Ok. A 20 minute wait. But no, I don't wait cuz there are literally 20+ places to eat. But that's not just the problem. In the next 18 months or so this happens 4 more times! It's gotten to a point when I say let's get Pollo Loco, I'm thinking, will they have chicken? So, on 4/24/23 at dinner time (5:30-6:30), they didn't have legs and thighs cooked again!!! What the heck? This time, I waited in a car line 10-15 minutes then please hold I'll be with you in a minute, as I pull up to the mic... just to be told, "sorry, we don't have dark meat. Can we offer you anything else? Legs and thighs will be ready in 45 minutes" excuse me!?!? WTF!?!?! Nope, Never mind!! And, NEVER EVER AGAIN! I get it, I'm only one customer, but that's it, I'm done. If you DO get Pollo there, it's just loco. read more

It's a great fast food place if you're feeling healthy! Isn't as great as chipotle for sure but it's pretty good. I got the bowl and a street taco and it was very filling, plus they have a sauce bar! I've been here at least 5 times. The food is always good and fresh The only problem I do not like is the cleanliness of this place. I don't think management takes cleanliness seriously enough. For example. The condiment bar was a mess. Lids everywhere. Condiments splattered everywhere The front door hand hand prints all over it. A spill occurred wasn't cleaned up good The restroom for being less than 6 months open was dirty. Seems like whoever cleans the restroom does a half ass job on cleaning it.
