I'm not much on doing poor reviews. I gave them a two because the tocos were tasty. We generally spend about 60 dollars a month for convenience with different friends. But come on guys 5 to 7 chips. Prices had gone up and quality of food down. Hopefully this was not a corporate thing. read more

El Pollo Loco - Dinner - Mexican Near Me - Modesto, California

Came in on Friday 3.27.26 evening for dinner. Since lent I'm not able to eat meat so I'm so glad they had shrimp. Ordered: Shrimp tostadas with cilantro dressing and a side corn - was so filling & good. Food was quick to come out and register guy was really nice and attentive. Area was a bit dirty with food crumbs and spills on the tables so luckily since it was a beautiful evening, there's extra seating outside- so I sat there. Will come back again! read more

Amazing customer service, siempre (always)! The visiting manager was very nice and hospitable! We ordered the member exclusive online for $7.99 plus tax. It includes a chicken al carbon, a chicken burrito, churros, chips & salsa, and a small soda. Restaurant is clean and they have Spanish music playing in the background. read more

The chicken in my tacos was burnt. I haven't never experienced this before at any other restaurant in my area.

Friendly staff. Delicious and healthier options. We love the crispy chicken taco, chicken queso guacamole burrito as well as the chicken quesadilla. I have to say, even the mash potatoes and gravy is good. This is our quick go to place for a meal or a snack. Close to home. Love it! read more

So I usually don't post fast food but this is for El Pollo's new item - the shredded beef birria that you have the option of taco, quesadilla or burrito. I opted for the two shredded beef Birria that was $10.95 that includes a small bag of tortilla chips and Birria consumé. First thing I opened was the cup with the consumé and I was shocked how little they gave! I mean, look at the ad they used and what I actually got. 2 stars for false advertising. So the two tacos were in individual beef and first thing I thought--. jack n the box tacos!!! I mean, they just deep fry it and added cilantro and onions. Taste- wasn't that bad. When you can dip it with the consumé. The consumé was kinda runny and just had cilantro and onions. The tacos was crunchy but for the price. I think it's expensive if they plan to give very little consumé. Tacos- 3 stars. Would I order it again? It's hard to say since when I go to el pollo.... It's for the pollo! lol I haven't had jack n the box tacos for years but I'd probably opt for those tacos if I want fast food tacos read more

I wish they would open one up in Round Rock Texss ..not just San Antonio Texas ..the food was very good

The customer service is great. All staff is nice and quick to help. The food is good shredded and cheese bowl is my favorite.

They changed their Chicken Tortilla Soup recipe and now it's horrible. Tastes like it's from a can. PLEASE go back to the to the original soup!!! read more

I come here often for lunch and the staff is always friendly and my order is out quick. Will continue to come to this location.

After repeatedly having this issue, I've finally conceded that not including salad dressing (creamy cilantro) or the requested salsas is common practice at this location. Tonight I spent $65 for delivery for 3 people via GH. Chipotle Chicken Avocado Burrito had NO chipotle or avocado. My salad entree had no dressing. Gee thanks for the bowl of lettuce, stale chips and no dressing. The app states that chips and salsa come with each entree, and has you choose which salsa you want (fiery roja). 3 entrees, no chips approved, and only mild House salsa included. To top it off, a chicken bone was found and caused choking. So glad we treated ourselves to El Pollo Loco for delivery dinner. (sarcasm) I've had multiple similar experiences here, so the conclusion is that this location is terrible. Go to the Plaza Pkwy location instead. read more

Service was fast and friendly, but the queso guacamole chicken burrito was very soggy, tortilla just fell apart. I prefer not to drink my food. ;) read more

The 1st thing we see when walking in is the guy behind the counter, with his crack showing as he is bending over. My client is an elderly veteran who needs assistance to a certain degree. Who looks forward to getting el pollo loco. She spent 47 for 2 double chicken bowls, of course, minus this plus that. And a taco meal. That's besides the point that. When checking her food She didn't get any chicken at all. Beans, rice. I'm glad I checked it before leaving. When I went to ask about it, they laughed. This is the 4th time doing it to her. She wanted to give em a chance to do right. it's ridiculous. I've insisted she not go back.70 yrs old, shame on them. Please check your food if you plan on going there. read more

Ordered a Chicken Tinga burrito and didn't get any cheese or avocados in it. Very disappointing, especially after having to wait for our food in the parking lot even though we went through the drive thru. Highlight: The employees were very polite. read more

Food is good but the night manager, she needs to find another line of work, I asked her about something on the menu, she literally was rude & then started getting angry with her cashier, accusing her of not charging correct, the cashier tried to explain to her but no she really made quite a scene, think she needs some better Management skills, as I listen I asked her name, Natalie, she said,I frequent often & have witness this in the past with this same manager . a few times. There is a time & place to correct these young workers that are just entering the workforce but in a more tactful way, I may self would have walked out, you don't try to degrade people , be alittle more tactful & professional about it! read more

I love their grilled chicken it's the best! The chicken just has a flavor that can't duplicated anywhere. The people that work there are very friendly. read more

Incorrectly labeled. Flavorless and small portion. Quality has gone downhill. Very disappointed for price.

We keep going back because the food is great. Service is so so. But the last couple of visits have made us rethink how great the food is vs the experience. Today they gave our good away and then gave us crappy remade food. It's like they had something against us. We ordered online for curbside. The girl came out with our food but she didn't give it to us. She walked all over the parking lot. Returned to the restaurant with the food and claimed she gave it to us. We didn't know that part until we went through the drive through after waiting 20 minutes. Then we had to have it remade just to get only part of the order. When we finally got the rest, it was crappy. The chicken avocado tacos had burnt little pieces of chicken and no sauce. The mashed potatoes had corn and unidentifiable pieces in it. I've tried contacting El Pollo Loco but they never bother to respond when I send feedback using "Contact Us." So much for customer service or customer satisfaction. read more

I just ordered the chicken chipotle burrito and chicken avocado taco. The food was so refreshing because I'm tired of eating fast food and was looking for food that tasted healthier. The queso fresco topped it off so good! Our drive-thru server, Natalie, was spunky and funny! She purposely repeated the order wrong to keep us on our toes and said we ordered 60 tacos instead of six and then we all laughed. Great laugh, great experience. read more

They have good food try this restaurant! Service is good. You should come eat here best customer service

I ordered a pick up through their app. Said it be ready in 5 mins so I head out. I get there and my order is not ready. Probably wait 5 mins which I was fine with. I get home and the two tacos I order are not only cold but look a big pile of mush. Unacceptable for food to come out like this, fast food or not. As you can see from the pictures in their ad these tacos do not resemble anything close. The way I picture them is the way I opened them . You pay a little more at el pollo loco so I'd expect more quality than what was provided. read more

Get yourself a rotisserie chicken from Smart and Final and call it a win, instead of buying this sorry excuse for a meal. A 4 piece meal was $15. A breast, a thigh, a leg and a wing....all tiny and shriveled. A WING IS NOT A PIECE. Will never go back. read more

Love the Modesto location on Oakdale it's convenient by my work. If you have a coupon I recommend using it. I love the salad dressing.

I ordered four birria tacos one birria burrito and two cheese quesadilla, it cost over 40 dollars. The birria tacos and burrito barely had any meat, the consome wasn't very good either. It tasted like they threw their spicy salsa in some weak broth. They didn't prepare the taco shell right, it's supposed to be orange from the fat they fry it in. read more
