    False advertising

Their website says $24 for a whole Chicken and when we went to pick it up it was almost $10 more. The server said it's old. Then why advertise erroneous information on your website? Same thing on delivery apps. I could get 7 chickens from Costco. Not worth it.

We are so disappointed with our experience at el pique, we thought we had found a good place because the food was good, but when the bill came (hand written) , we realized they were overcharging us with twice the price of what we saw on the menu. When we complained we were told by the server these where special prices because of the hour and that they had given us a different menu, then when the owner came he explained that he made an exeption letting us in at 9:15 pm when the place closes at 10 pm and the inflated process were due to this, which made no sense at all, he was disrespectful and blamed us for getting there "late". Go there only if you are ok getting robbed on the bill.

The inside of the restaurant leaves a lot to be desired.

I've always been wary of this Peruvian/Mexican spot because, frankly the interior is dark and dingy. The first time I walked in I walked out because place reeked of chlorine. So to be fair, I have never eaten off the menu, but they have recently very smartly adapted their business model to bring in those who don't want to eat inside. They've turned their parking lot into a gloriously large bbq pit on which they spit roast whole chickens every day. If the smell driving by doesn't lure you, then you really need adjust your senses. You can get the chicken whole or in half. Each comes with decent rice and beans and hand made tortillas. But the star is the Peruvian spice rubbed chicken. So tender and Smokey in flavor. One of the better grilled birds I've had in a while. It's a little pricey at $24 for the whole bird, but it made for plenty of yummy leftovers. At a time to support local, this is a good bird to get behind. Just make sure you wear clothes that you don't wanna wear again before washing as the bbq smoke smell will cling to everything as you pick up your feast.

Full chicken, rice (cooked in chicken broth and garlic, yum!), corn tortillas and pinto beans.

I came in here recently for the first time with some family. I had always seen people outside grilling chicken so that's what I wanted to try. I planned to bring home leftovers and holy cow it was so much leftover food 3 of us ate it for 2 days afterwards. The mango margaritas were delicious and relatively strong. We will definitely be coming back! There's more food to try!

Only a lady was serving at Friday night. Kinda big place and you can dance middle of space. I understood why every services are so slow bcz only one lady working on floor. She is greeting, and taking orders, setting up tables, servings food. There are Mexican food & Peruvian food in menus. I tried Peruvian menus called Aji de Gallina & Lomo Saltado. *Aji de Gallina Thin pieces of chicken Stu in a spicy, nutty cheesy souce. **it was not spicy and too much potatoes, plz added more chicken. *Lomo Saltado Stir Fry of lean beef, served with tomatoes, onions & fresh cut fries seasoned with authentic peruvian hot spices. Served with rice. **too much French fries, plz added more beef plz! Services are slow so plz patients......

Feels like I was transported to Peru :) opened 8 years ago…read more Ambiance, lovely service and of course the food. Went on Tues lunch- it was chill. DUO #1: CEVICHE + ARROZ CON MARISCOS $34 The seafood was tender and had octopus, calamari, shrimp and one mussel. Portion was large! LOMO SALTADO / Peruvian Stirfry Loin $23 The beef could be more tender. Fries and sauce were good (lacked the aji Amarillo) . Zero spice with option to add post. Good value ( I don't say that often these days) Parking available. Located in a quiet subtle strip mall. Highly recommend!

Wonderful little family-run Peruvian restaurant that's worth a visit. Ignore the posts/reviews…read moreabout "service is bad." It's not. It's a small family-run place. Honestly, I get really tired of some Yelp reviewers who act so entitled and belittle a small place like this--it does not reflect well on the Yelp community. And here's a hint, you don't go to a restaurant 45 minutes or shorter before closing time and expect a perfect experience. In fact, many restaurants now close their kitchens to orders 30 minutes before that closing time; so stop acting so freaking entitled when you go in that time window. Okay, on to this place. We LOVED it. The service was friendly and helpful. No, it's not the fastest in the world, and mistakes were made (one for us with an ingredient we're allergic to--so ALWAYS double- and triple-check), but we didn't expect it to be. It was fine. The food was wonderful. These are Peruvians, and these are their family recipes. They may be different from certain other Peruvian family recipes. So what. Deal with it. The food was great. We will be returning. Many times. Loved it!

I…read morespecifically wanted to laud this establishment as we dropped in after our flight to Taipei was cancelled. We got a couple of food vouchers from the airline and since Las Palmas uses Toasttab as their payment processor we were able to order food here. Even though we technically weren't dining inside, they let us sit and eat while we were trying to figure out what to do to rebook the flight and hotel near the airport. We ordered a Pollo al Grill and a bunch of different pupusas. Honestly I was way too stressed to really pay attention to the food, but here are some notes that I jotted down while eating: Pollo al Grill Chicken ($20.49) - Rice is good. Chicken has a nice grilled flavor and plenty of spices added, but the interior is kind of dry Pupusas ($3.89 each) - Las Palmas is generous with fillings. Every single pupusa is very tasty and cooked perfectly. Las Palmas gives a lot of sides and sauces/condiments with the order. The curtido has good acidity and there's a very savory salsa roja to pour on top of the pupusas. There's also a small container of beans, very smooth and full of lard, guac, and sour cream. I really need to revisit in the near future!

Our server was so sweet and attentive. We ordered chicken tamales and a queso and spinach pupusa and a queso and chicharron pupusa. We also went through two baskets of chips and salsa, which were divine. We both really enjoyed the food. The tamales are a bit expensive at 6.50 each, but they're a safe food for me with my food allergies. So to me it's worth it! There are potatoes and peppers in with the chicken. The chicken was flavored well. These are gluten free and dairy free My partner had the pupusas. The chicharron was his favorite of the two as it was very flavorful. He also really enjoyed the sauce which tastes like a tomato soup flavor vs like a more traditional salsa. He wouldn't get the spinach again, but it wasn't bad. He said they were very comforting. We will be back! $25 to leave full and content.

The last time we came here, they brought out a delicious complimentary bread but it seems like they don't do that anymore. My boyfriend liked his lomo (filet mignon) and it had a nice sear and the chimichurri and demi glace was delicious. My parilla mixta was yummy but the skirt steak was on the blander side and the sausage was nothing special but I really like the shrimp and the polenta was delicious. Overall everything was fresh and the food came out quick and our waitress was really nice. The restaurant wasn't too crowded when we were there but it looked like it was filling up and it is a cute spot for a date night or dinner with friends! It's definitely on the pricier side but we would come back to try their pastas or other dishes!
