I don't write reviews like this unless a place actually hits, and this one did. I walked into El Patio just wanting good tacos, nothing crazy, and ended up finding something way better. The owner actually took the time to listen to what I was craving, not rushed, not surface level, she genuinely cared and helped me figure out exactly what I wanted. You can tell she opened this place because something was missing in the area, and she decided to be the one to bring it. The tacos were exactly what I've been looking for, fresh, flavorful, simple in the best way, the kind where you take a bite and just know. But what really stands out is the energy, you can feel how much she and her team care about people, not just the food. I ate here on 2/23/26 (I know I am slacking lol) and I had a great experience and wish I live close to eat here every there and then. I stopped by around 1 PM and they weren't too busy but I feel like if they were, you will still get your plate at a good pace. I got the steak asada torta and wow - amazing! You got the actual authentic Mexican bread to complete that Mexican torta and the seasoning of the meat and everything - just WOW! What a great find! We tried the steak bowl, birria tacos, burrito, and nachos, and every single dish was fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. We didn't even think to take pictures because we couldn't wait to dig in. The food alone is worth coming back for, but what really made the experience was the people. Everyone was genuinely kind, welcoming, and made us feel right at home. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in the area! read more

Great food and a great experience! My buddy and I pulled into Walmart during a road trip in his electric car, and by pure luck, we stumbled upon El Patio. Anyone who knows me knows my favorite restaurant back in Michigan is also called El Patio--so finding one here was a fun coincidence (no affiliation, though!). Got a carnitas burrito (regular, not supreme). It was great. I've eaten a carnitas burrito at a few places in the area this week - all at authentic Mexican restaurants (one in a town further away). Only this one had tender, great tasting pork. The tortillas and other ingredients were all prepared well, too. And friendly staff. read more

Driving from Jacksonville to Tampa means limited food options. We took a chance and stopped here. There's a walk-up counter to order and a few tables inside and outside. I ordered the watermelon cucumber juice (made fresh!) and the Quesabirria tacos. I'd never tried birria tacos before and for a first go at this, I was not disappointed! I normally wouldn't eat 3 tacos in one sitting but was not willing to share these crispy, juicy delights. Will definitely come here again when I'm passing through. We have visited this little special place twice. Once during the weekend and once in a weekday afternoon, both times we have been received with an enthusiastic welcoming by their great staff. We have ordered quesadillas, mangonadas, esquite, and very tall fruit bowls, all super delicious. Parking is a bit small but you can always park and walk from the Walmart next to them. They are going to give you large amounts of food, so you will need to walk it off... don't say I didn't warn you! read more

Everything is fresh. They make everything from scratch I think. This is definitely my new favorite authentic spot. It's nothing fancy, but it's clean, the family works together and there is a patio on the side that I'm sure is pet friendly. Excellent flan! Get the flan! read more

Wow! Don't blink or you miss this little gem! I will get right to it: Quality: Fresh, homemade and outstanding! I had 4 street tacos and I can't remember what my spouse had because I was so into these tacos. Fresh cilantro and a squeeze of lime! Unreal! Quantity: Street tacos are normally the smaller tortillas so me ordering 4 was appropriate. I thought it may be too much but honestly I could've eaten 8-10 of these things, which would've been too much, but I would've forced them down! We both left there very satisfied. Salsa: the only thing that wasn't 'wow' for me. I am unsure if the flavor was so slight that the flavors in the tacos overpowered the salsa or if it was the salsa itself. The hot tomatillo salsa in a bottle was gold!!!!!! I kept dousing my tacos in that flavor tsunami so I could get that into every bite! Every bite! The nachos were not like what you would get at a Mexican restaurant, which wasn't a bad thing. They were fresh and larger/fatter than the typical tortilla chip. Cost: Honestly, I would've paid more for what we ate, just because the quality was there. It was fresh and homemade. A small 3-5 table restaurant that I hope gets spotted by the average taco lover!
