So many choices on the menu it was hard to decide. I went with the birria tacos which came with a large helping of rice and beans. My girlfriend ordered a veggie fajitas. You get 3 large tacos and another plate with the rice and beans. My girlfriend's veggie fajitas looked tempting. The smell of them was nice. The tacos and the rice and beans were awesome. Everything looked homemade. I could only eat 1 taco because I stuffed myself with rice and beans. FYI they were just as filling the next day. My girlfriend enjoyed her veggie fajitas. The place is decorated in a lot Mexican fixtures. This place was huge so large parties are okay. Definitely will come back if I'm ever in Cyrstal River. Check it out.

A busy Tuesday night my large group had reservations an was seated promptly. chips and salsa were…read moreserved quickly and drink orders taken. Usually, I would order fajitas. Tonight, I ordered enchiladas verdes .... Two beef and two chicken enchiladas. They arrived, fairly small, at best they were room temperature. The sauce seemed fairly salty. I have bought frozen taquitos from Trader Joe's that were better. Very disappointing. To be fair five people at my table rated their meals 2-3-4-4-4.5 . I would go back again but would not order this dish. I had high hopes when the food arrived and the dish was very hot ... unfortunately the food wasn't even warm. If I do go back I would order the fajitas...the meal arrived steaming hot. Over all the the choice of my meal affected the score. Adios.

Great skinny margaritas. Period. Awesome…read more Good service. Nice ambiance. Let's talk horrible salsa... if that even was salsa (certain not). Here's a recipe to try: tomatoes, onions, jalapeño peppers, cilantro, garlic... put in blender and voila. This place has a pure liquid of questionable origin that tastes like crud. The chips... dear lord. The fajitas.... Great veggies awesome seasoning. The meat I'm guessing was cat and now that I'm home I can't find my cat so I'm not super happy. Why would fajitas meat be a centimeter wide by three centimeters long? I'm interupting my own review to find my cat. Horrible food. Learn to cut meat so it doesn't look like cat.

One year later back again to what was my favorite Mexican restaurant. Rereading my previous I saw…read morethat on my prior review they mixed up my meal. This time more of the same ... almost like watching a comedy. Seated there were delicious chips and salsa on the table and drink orders were taken promptly. That was great. The servers were friendly and promptly took our orders. We had approximately 20 diners. When the food came my fajitas were nice and hot. My #1 complaint is food not served hot. The fajitas came but not the second dish with the toppings or the tortillas to put them in. The toppings arrived but no tortillas ... which I asked for three times. When they came ... nice and hot my food was already cooling down. Not good. The person across from me got their meal but no silverware. After at least six requests for silverware, one time he was brought a takeout carton, finally silverware came. Tasting his meal he told the waiter it was beef and supposed to be chicken. Meal replaced. After everyone was served on person didn't get their meal. Everyone was eating he was waiting. Finally the meal was served. The servers delivering the meals were asking who is number 15 etc. were we supposed to to know numbers? No one mentioned it. It's a nice place but when going out and paying for a dinner the last thing needed is chaos. Two people, in the group, said that they would not return. I asked the people sitting around me on 1-5, five being the best, How would you rate the overall dining experience. The answer was 1-1-2-2-3-4. The person who arranged the event went to speak with the manager. I will be checking out some of the other options.

Positives: Attentive server, even though she couldn't answer questions regarding the food…read more Clean and nice decor, although this doesn't look like a Mexican restaurant on the inside at all. Free chips and salsa I ordered the combination meal. One burrito, 1 enchilada. With a side of fried rice and refried beans. The negatives. When my meal arrived, there was no visible difference between the burrito and the enchilada. The presentation was lacking. No shredded garnish like a commonly see with combination platters. Everything was basically the same color. I got both the enchilada and the burrito with ground beef, even the inside was exactly the same, both tasted extremely bland and reminded me of a frozen microwave meal. I had to add a lot of hot sauce, which I normally don't like, to give the meal some flavor. The refried beans were liquidy and an odd color. At first, I thought it was queso. Not appetizing and they had no taste. The fried rice also was completely lacking in flavor. Overall, incredibly disappointed in this restaurant, especially after its long anticipated opening. I will agree with previous reviews. It is loud inside, and there is a strong smell in the place. I would describe the smell like a perfume type air freshener smell (reminded me of a hotel lobby smell IYKYK). It wasn't offensive to me, but if you are sensitive to smells at all, I could see how this would be an issue.
