Several stations offering an abundance of Cuban/Central American cuisines for a super reasonable price. I opted for masas de puerco with two veggie sides (although there were so many others: rice, potatoes, plantains, etc). My friend opted for the patas de cerdo. Everything was delicious. Cafeteria style mainly Cuban food, there are several locations throughout Miami and its suburbs. I have been to at least 3 different locations and have also ordered both pick up and delivery several times. The consistency is solid. Portions are GINORMOUS. I mean sincerely HUGE. There are a million selections (okay, not a million, but probably 5-7 different variations of cuts and cooks for each protein). It is a long long line of dishes in hotel pans all waiting to be consumed. I've had the carne de res guisado (slow cooked beef stew), maduros, fried rice (my aunts like this...they are from the midwest and not Miami!), ropa vieja and pork. Meat always tastes fresh, tenderand flavorful. On the end near one of the entrances, one can purchase beverages (I always get tamarindo, agua de jamaica or guanabana for agua fresca, aka fresh fruit juice). There is also a bakery area and some places have a small produce section selling cuban staples like yucca, avocados and limes. Be prepared: it is always busy but well worth the wait. read more

The midget had the chicken with Moro and mashed potatoes. My cousin ate breakfast. Which was delicious except the mashed potatoes. I don't understand it again, and why they serve it. It's super bland. This is not very tourist friendly. If my cousin wasn't with us, we would have stood there with blank stares. Like we couldn't grab certain items from that cooler, it had be this cooler. Just mass confusion. First I love ropa vieja. This wasn't the best version, but it hit the spot. The insane amount of Moro they serve you was good too. The chicken my son ordered was just slightly overcooked. Did have decent flavor. The table favorite and by far was the absolutely delicious chicharron they had here. Finally! It was so good, and reluctantly admit I would put up against some of the best in south Texas. The gripes...man put some better signs up to control the chaos. Also, they are very generous with the sides, but then give you as little as possible for the meats or mains. Like our plates were overflowing with Moro. Balance out. I think we went a little early and they were out of a lot of dishes at the time. I will come again at a later time to try more. There are many locations of El Palacio De Los Jugos all over Miami area, after visiting two locations, I can conclude that all are the same lol! ^_^ Doesn't matter which location you'll visit, all of them will always have chicarones and lechon which are a must! They also have yucas and plantains which are also great. Their selections will always be plenty for you to choose from and will definitely make you want to try as much as you can. There are lots of juices as well. Multiple combinations from a lot of fresh fruits. I also tried their cafe con leche, just make sure you tell them to make it not so sweet. First of all they were so rude. I went inside to place my order and the girl behind the register totally ignored me, I moved to the side to see what they had in the refrigerator and she took the guy that came in after me. I gave her such a dirty look. I called over one of the managers to tell her that her workers were rude. She was very nice and took my order. My order was simple a watermelon juice and arepa. The juice of course was good, but the arepa "yuk" I went to the car to eat it on my drive home and when I bite into it was cold and the cheese was cold in the inside, but melted on the edges. And not just one employee, but a whole bunch of them at the different counters. I'm not sure how people put up with this on a daily basis, and it reminded me of a really angry McDonalds. So despite my passionate love for Palacio, it makes me want to reduce and only give three or four stars. The fat had an incredible amount of flavor, even though it seems only slow cooked with salt. And that crispy skin is what I imagine heaven to be. I could create a suit of this meat and eat my way out. *Flattened Plantains: Very dry and flavorless, however, filling! I wouldn't recommend it. *Cuban Tamale: I almost them more than Mexican tamales. They use yellow corn and seem bigger (that's what she said). The pork inside of it, too -- eggplant emoji. This place is huge, and serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner! I went for breakfast and tried their $4 platter with (three) eggs, bacon, ham, toasted bread with butter, and French fries. It also comes with a cafe con leche (coffee with milk)! It was sooo much food -- I still ate it all -- and such a great value! Kinda oily for breakfast, but still good. El Palacio also serves lots of prepared foods for lunch and dinner and I definitely want to come back sometime to try it all! It reminded me of the prepared foods section at Sedano's supermarket except there was much more to choose from. The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating. Inside can get a bit chilly because of the A/C, but is a good option on a windy day because outside can turn into a wind tunnel. Outside is especially nice on sunny days though! There is no other place in Miami, that captures true Cuban culture, like this. While other restaurants put out some pretty authentic dishes, Palacio de los Jugos is authentic in presentation, food and customer service. It's a giant cafeteria, with a "to-go" concept and all the fixings. Their menu is not limited, it has anything and everything Cuban that you crave. Some of my recent obsessions include ropa vieja, arroz imperial and ALL of their potajes (puréed beans). Just like grandma made it! The portions are outrageous. The containers are perfecto for sharing or if you're like me, save it for later! In addition to the already insane variety of dishes, most of the locations have a bakery section & a juice/shake section. I stopped by the new location to get some pastelitos, empanadas, and croquetas before heading back to Tallahassee. As soon as I walked in I was tempted to get some of the other food because it smelt soo good, but I had just eaten. So I resisted getting the prepared food, but I got myself some pastries from the bakery section. They have a large and well stocked selection. They even had langosta (lobster) croquetas. I had to try one, and they were delicious! Very different than the traditional jamon. All of the pastries I tried were fresh and tasty when I ate them. The ones that I saved for my arrival back to Tallahassee kept well and still tasted great when reheated. Next time I am definitely going to have to try their guava y queso tequeno. It sounded amazing. Now we all know you can't leave El Palacio De Los Jugos without getting some fresh juice. I got a cup of the Maracuya (passion fruit) juice. It was the perfect mix of sweet and tangy, and very fresh. I also tried some of the Mamey and it was just as fresh and tasty. You can order their juices by the gallon or cup. I say go for the gallon! I walked through the whole store and was able to see their large selection of prepared foods. Everything looked and smelt delicious. You walk into this place (in a former bank building) and there are huge piles of food lined up for you to choose from. When you choose one, one of the workers scoops it into a box for you. But the portions are HUMONGOUS. My wife and I had one box of imperial chicken fried rice, which cost ~$5, and we were BOTH full! And we were hungry!! I ordered through a delivery app to pick up because I was on a time limit. The parking spots are really tight in my opinion. When I got to the restaurant, there was nothing that says online or order pick-up. I politely asked and waved at an employee with my order information. I told her I am here to pick up. This "El Palacio De Los Jugos" is brand new. It opened a few weeks ago and me being a fan of this franchise just meant one thing...I need to visit soon. I finally got a chance to make my way over to check the new establishment. Very clean restaurant since its brand new. Plenty of parking spaces available for customers. Even the parking lot is brand new. The inside is bright allowing you to see the food like never before. Plenty of staff available to help you with your needs. They have all kinds of proteins available for purchase such as breaded chicken steak a la milanesa, pollo a la plancha, breaded fish filet, and churrasco just to name a few. You basically choose your protein, then pick two sides. The most common choices for sides are normally rice (moro/congri), and fried plantains (maduro). They pack all the food in a nice divided styrofoam container. They sell all kinds of latin desserts such as flan, tres leches, and dulce de leche. They have fresh cut avocados that they place in a container ready for consumption. They sell fruits and vegetables. You can get all kinds of juices here including shakes. Great place if you don't know what you want. They have so many food choices that you will somehow figure it out if you're indecisive. How to enter: there's two ways to enter this "El Palacio De Los Jugos" (SW 8th Street and SW 87th Avenue Entrance); you can enter if you're going EAST bound on SW 8th Street towards 87th Avenue (stay on the right lane like if you want to turn onto the SOUTH bound lanes of 87th Avenue; right before you get to SW 87th Avenue you'll see the entrance on your right). The 87th Avenue Entrance is best if you're going SOUTH bound on 87th Avenue and you basically cross SW 8th Street and the entrance is to the right. It will be difficult to enter the 87th Avenue Entrance of you're going NORTH on 87th Avenue driving towards SW 8th Street. Great service! Will defiantly go back in the future. read more
