I got my order to go, but the restaurant looked clean and nice. I was welcomed by smiling faces, check out was easy. The flavor is out of this world. It's been a minute since I was able to get a super burrito all fresh with fluffy rice. Melt in your mouth. Carnitas, melted chewy cheese, and the freshest, tomato, jalapeños, and lettuce. Home cooking flavor. The fire roasted salsa is absolutely awesome and they still serve chips with the super burrito. no one else really does that anymore. So for me, it even has a Sonoma county nostalgia of the full experience. Try it twice you won't regret it. read more

Good customer service. Food was brought out quickly but we were there when the restaurant wasn't very busy. Enjoyed the fresh tortilla chips and the delicious salsa. Food was good, but, lacked flavor & flair for my liking of Mexican Cuisine. Would it be my top recommendation for Mexican Cuisine? We were coming from our camping trip from Humbolt State Park and we got hungry on our way home, so i yelped some good Mexican restaurants and this place caught my attention. The name sounds so catchy and intriguing. As we arrived at the premises, it has a plaque by the sidewalk indicating that it was an old Wells Fargo Bank and historical. We dined outside since we have our dog, although it was kinda cold, but it was nice. They have a nice list of wine and beer. They were having beef stew as the special of the day, so my daughter and I had that. Hubby got ribs with green chili sauce and nopales, which was good. My daughter and I enjoyed our beef stew and the serving was a little bit more than we could manage, so we took them home for dinner. We enjoyed the food, ambiance as well as the service. If we're happen to be in Cloverdale again, we'll definitely stop by this place. read more

Ok, we had last nights special and were blown away! Three different homemade mole enchiladas, with three different meat preparations inside each one - plus cheese. Seriously, this is the stuff of 5 star restaurants. I follow them on Instagram (and they post on Facebook) daily and each days special is always there. And the service is great. Went there for the first time and got a chicken burrito. The chicken in the burrito was tasty but it was hard to find any in the burrito. Couldn't have been more than a couple tablespoons in mine anyway. It was also overpriced for what I bought. 2 regular grilled chicken burritos and a few grilled jalapeños for take out was $30. If the burrito had some chicken in it I would have given a better rating. read more

¡Asombroso! Last night, my exchange students and I stopped here for dinner. We had no idea what to expect; the boys just wanted Mexican food. What a discovery! Before we even started our main meal, we were treated to chips and a salsa that was out of this world -- not at all spicy, but so delicious! We bought two containers to take along on the trip. For our main course, the food was equally delicious, not to mention more than ample for two 17-year old boys with healthy appetites. One had chicken fajitas, and the other had a burrito with chicken. I had the special, which was three chicken enchiladas. Five stars for all three, and the service was equally good. My only regret is that I live so far away. We were very happy to discover El Milagro. To quote the late Utah Phillips, you can never have too many Mexican restaurants. But these folks feature regional cuisine from El Ciudad de Mexico, and boy, was it good. They serve a white bean that is more flavorful than the pinto. I had the taco salad - my litmus test for trying new places. While it was not quite up to Joselito's in Tujunga or the Furnace Creek inn in Death Valley, it was tasty and wholesome. My husband had tacos with camarrones and liked the dish a lot. The fact that they are in an adaptive re-use of the landmark Owl Cafe building and have kept the iconic sign will contribute to my loyalty to eat there. read more

We dropped in for a late lunch hoping for a decent taco for the road and were blown away by what a great restaurant this is. They did a tasteful remodel of a previous cafe and have lots of plants so we ended up sitting down to eat. First impression - tasty chips with really good homemade roasted salsa. We ordered the chicken mole and a few other tacos as well as the pork stew. they had run out of ribs for the stew but the friendly guy working said they could sub carnitas which was awesome. He also recommended a great locally made Mexican lager they had on tap. Total bill and tip cost less than 3 drinks purchased in San Francisco. 18 stars! :-) read more

If I lived in Cloverdale, I'd find excuses not to cook so I could eat here! Colorful corner patio dining. Attentive, efficient, knowledgeable waiter, seated and served quickly. Ordered fish tacos but the waiter suggested I might like the seafood fajitas. I'm usually not swayed by the suggested special but he was compelling! He was so right! Tender, spicy shrimp, scallops and sole. Mounds of veggies. Served with rice, beans and sour cream and a really bright tasting guacamole. Good on the tortillas, but fine without. I'm a regular. Everything is yummy! I have a soy oil allergy, so eating in restaurants is difficult for me. El Milagro uses canola oil, so I can eat here safely. The service is always friendly, and their specials are creative and seem so authentic. read more

I was not planning on eating here but drove by and saw the cute outside patio so I decided to give it a try, from the get go out server Omar was super polite, attentive and cautious. Food was great the Mole was delicious, I was lucky it was available as it's a process to make good mole. The drinks are also excellent and the outside atmosphere really makes it all come together.
