Happy Hour Margarita!!
Andrew R.

Love coming in and seeing the crew work so hard! Margaritas are delicious and we love the tortilla soup, burritos and honestly everything we try!

Chile Relleno Combo (half eaten, it was a lot!)

I tried this place and the Chile Relleno combo today and it was so good and a great price, too! Friendly service! Highly recommend it.

Solid new restaurant that is NOW OPEN! I've been here about 4 times since opening day primarily because of it's great location in the heart of downtown but also because the staff has always been so friendly. The first couple of times there was definitely some growing pains, but legitimately all but one concern has been remedied!! My only suggestion keeping them from 5 stars is the lack of website and phone number. Calling in an order and being able to see the menu online is crucial in 2023. Hoping an epic website launches soon and hopefully it's got the same vibe as their menu! Hint hint! (their menu is, for lack of a better term, "sexy" Large bar area and tons of dining. Keep up the good work staff.

La Tequila Mexican Food, Cloverdale, CA - August 31, 2023 - margarita flight of 4 - $25

La Tequila Mexican Restaurant, Cloverdale, CA - August 31, 2023 We came in a little before 5 pm on a Thursday evening. They have a bar, indoor restaurant, and outdoor patio. There was smoke in the air from Northern California wildfires, so we decided to sit on the restaurant side indoors. The bar was a little noisy for us and the restaurant side was very quiet. We were just about the only people in the restaurant. They got us our menus, water, and chips and salsa right away. After a short while, the bartender from the other side, came over to get our drink orders. The menu is very extensive and as the restaurant's name implies, they have lots of tequila drinks. My wife ordered the margarita flight, which included a pomegranate margarita, spicy pineapple margarita,, Hibiscus margarita, and cucumber margarita, I ordered, the top shelf margarita. The drinks were very good. A little while later, the bartender from the bar came over to get our food order. I ordered the super burrito with Al Pastore meat and my wife ordered the chicken Molay enchilada combination plate with rice, and beans. All the food was tasty. I hope to come back the next time we're in the area.

Chips and salsa along with water served in tequila bottles!

I was passing through the small town of Cloverdale and started to get hungry for lunch. First of all, the building itself is really cool. You have to check it out for yourself but it's got outdoor seating, inside, and you can even sit at the bar. Water is served in empty tequila bottles which is a nice touch. I ordered the Carne Asada nachos. The waitress was very friendly and polite while I was waiting for the nachos. They brought out chips and salsa and it was really delicious. She even came back and offered me more and of course I said yes! The nachos came out looking amazing! And believe me, they tasted as good as they looked. The chips were crispy and salted perfectly. All of the toppings tasted fresh. Really delicious! After two baskets of chips and salsa, along with nachos, I was stuffed and ready to hit the road. If you're every passing through Cloverdale, you have to check out La Tequila!

Chicken Fajitas! Enough to feed me tomorrow too!

When you walk in, the smell of antiseptic cleaning products is gross and overwhelming, almost had to leave.

No service provided, so we left. Only one other table had diners, so no reason for the two waitresses to be overwhelmed.

We were seated in the large (dog-friendly) outdoor area near the entrance. I stuck with water, but my friends really liked the cocktails, including the Mango Margarita and Paloma. For food, I ordered the Enchiladas Special, which had chicken and salsa verde. This was just okay - the shredded chicken was pretty dry and served on the outside of the enchiladas, which I hadn't seen before. I also tried a bite of my friend's Carne Asada Quesadilla, which I liked more - still pretty standard though. The best item was the Guacamole with Esquites we ordered for the table - so fresh and tasty, and the corn kicked it up a notch. Service was friendly and fast!

We sat outside in the shade and it was really nice. It has a relaxed atmosphere and we were given chips and salsa. I ordered the Ensalada El Milagro and it was delicious! All of the ingredients were so fresh and complimented each other well! The staff working here were so friendly, kind, and attentive. I also love that three locals own this together so when you dine here you know you are supporting a locally owned restaurant. I've eaten at the Healdsburg location several times. This was the first time I've been to the Cloverdale location and we love both locations. Such amazing and flavorful food! Highly recommend!

My wife, her mom, and I were driving north to Eureka, passing through Cloverdale during lunchtime…read more Flavia's appeared as a restaurant with very strong ratings, so decided to dine-in for an early lunch. It was a good experience, with good food and OK service. There is a dedicated lot next to the stand alone building, so parking was easy. The open sign was on, but the ambiance appeared sleepy, so guessing that it gets a lot busier later in the day. There were two people working, and once we got the front-of-house's attention, were seated at a comfortable table for 4. Complementary chips and salsa were provided Reviews and self-proclamations clearly state that birria (beef) was worth getting, so my wife got the Quesadilla Birria ($13.99), and her mom got the Camarones al Ajillo (shrimp in garlic sauce $19.99). The menudo wasn't available, so I got the Pozole ($15.75) instead. They have cans and bottles of soda and beer, with a can of Coke being $2.50. Everything was good. The quesadilla was more like a grilled burrito (or chimichanga), and had been nicely crisped. My wife really enjoyed it. The shrimp plate came with rice and beans, which were OK, and choice of flour or corn tortilla (average). The large prawns were nicely cooked with a flavorful sauce. My pozole had good flavor without too much fat (the excess had obviously been skimmed) and was quite hot, though I wish it had more hominy and pork. My wife later found out that the meat used here is butchered on-site and that care is taken to remove excess fat. It really shows: all the meat dishes were not greasy and there wasn't the pools of fat that often accompany hastily prepared dishes. It was appreciated. Clover is the payment processor and there is a 3% fee for using a credit card.
