The parade of people strolling by was pure entertainment. The fried seafood appetizer was light, perfectly battered, and nicely seasoned. It was not originally ordered until we saw them delivering an order to another table, great choice. The Diablo pizza had sugo di pomodoro, mozzarella, salami, pecorino and basil. A perfect selection, great chew on the crust, lightly sauced and a meal enjoyed by all. Our final dish was the Lo Scoglio with seafood medley, cherry tomatoes and white wine. The noodles were chewy, the sauce and seafood was rich and uncious. The portion size was quite generous and delicious. A glass of house wine was surprisingly reasonable at just 5 euro and was a standardly nice, juicy, easy to drink red. The bread was incredibly delicious. The smokiness from the wood oven made it possibly the most delicious bread I can remember eating. No butter. No olive oil. Just delicious. We would have loved to have tried a few of the pasta dishes that looked delicious, so our recommendation for a couple is to get a pizza and a pasta and share them. The salads also looked fresh and large. As many places in Italy, there a fee to sit at the restaurant and be served. 8 euro for both of us. The next day when waiting for our ferry ride, we popped into a pizzeria and grabbed another pizza diavola to go...what a let down. The pizza at buca di bacco was within a euro or two in price and 100% better. If you haven't had a good pizza in Italy and find yourself in Capri, at least grab one or two of their pizzas to go and eat them near the ocean overlook. Don't forget the chili flakes You will be quite content.

I'm here to tell you right now, if you like cheese especially mozzarella you haven't lived until you've eaten buffalo mozzarella. My wife started with the house wine and loved it. I was driving the motor scooter so I didn't indulge. I'm a big calzone fan and I'm now ruined for calzone anyplace else. What the Hell do they do to the food here? By far the best I have ever had bar none. My wife had the cheese ravioli and swore it was the best she ever had, they gave a generous portion and she couldn't eat it all. Being a gentleman I helped her out and OMG! Nuff said. The owners sent us out a complimentary Lemen'cello a delightful little locally made lemon concoction about 90 proof, yummy! Family owned with their precious daughter smiling up at you we were in heaven. The owners are just as nice as they can be and it was an absolute delight. Even with a generous tip it was 50 Euros. If you're in Capri you MUST, and I mean MUST eat here! Three weeks in Europe and our favorite memory was made right here. Enjoy!
