Came across Sciue Sciue on Yelp whilst looking for a place for Lunch on a day trip in Anacapri. We were greeted and waited on by Dario who made really yummy recommendations. I asked him to pick a pizza for our table - he suggested the lemon pizza. It was so different than what we were expecting in both flavor and appearance. The folds were filled with cheese and topped with prosciutto. The tomatoes were so fresh! Dario also suggested we try the deep fried eggplant patties, delicious! I was in Italy for two weeks and the seafood pasta here may have been my favorite dish of the entire trip. I was about to order and the owner recommended it saying the pasta is fresh and handmade. Highly recommended, they don't try the bread scam like other restaurants and don't charge a fee just to sit and eat which was a nice change from all the other restaurants taking advantage of tourists. If you don't want to pay for water let them know you don't want anything to drink. Vegan options are difficult to find in Italy. This location the owner offered to make a custom vegan pizza with veggies. The crust is vegan. This was the best food we have had so far on day 6 of the trip. Sauce and Veggies were fresh. Menu selection is limited and the prices are typical for Capri - bad. However, the food I ordered was ok and the total meal time wasn't too bad (in April when things are slow). It's definitely not as good as the average place in Sorrento, but you have to lower your bar when you are in Capri -- and expect to pay more. read more

Thankfully, my wife and I discovered Sciue Sciue during our vacation to the Amalfi Coast. Anacapri is an incredibly beautiful place with wonderful restaurants and Sciue Sciue is on the top of the list. They only serve lunch and there's no indoor dining but that's not important. The outdoor dining is perfect because they have umbrellas if necessary. Because of the food quality & wonderful service, there's going to be a wait but it's well worth it. You can do a little shopping or site seeing while waiting. Once the food arrives & you start eating you will understand why I, along with so many reviewers give 5 stars. Every dish we had during three different lunches was wonderful. Beautifully presented and filled with taste. The cocktails are great as well and they have a very nice wine list. The service is very helpful and friendly and we never felt rushed. If you're going to Capri or Anacapri, don't miss experiencing Sciue Sciue! It's very special!! read more

Adorable lunch spot in anacapri. The food was delicious and really surprised me since it was more of a casual spot. The homemade pasta with eggplant and pesto was one of my favorite meals of my trip to Italy. The pizza was also delicious and you can definitely split among 2-4 people! It is stuffed with ricotta topped with cherry tomatoes arugula and grilled eggplant, we loved it. read more

Sciue Sciue is an adorable lunch spot on Anacapri. My husband and I grabbed a table outside and ordered a tomato sauce pizza, with oregano, crushed red peppers, and we asked that they add mozzarella di bufalo cheese. We loved that the waitstaff had no issue with us attempting to customize their menu. The creation was decidedly the best pizza we had during our honeymoon in Italy. The crust was amazingly chewy, and the ingredients tasted incredibly fresh. The pizza is large enough for two, so order one, and pair it with the local wine. We also loved the friendliness of the staff, and the atmosphere of the restaurant. We were among fellow tourists, but everyone was having a really great time. I highly recommend this place for anyone staying in Anacapri. For those of you staying in Capri, hop on the local bus and make your way over for this pizza - it's totally worth it. read more

Really cute little roadside lunch spot in Anacapri. Nice after you've done the chairlift! :-) The drinks with lemon ice are great albeit pricy, but worth a splurge. The caprese salad with buffalo mozzarella was delicious and fresh, and the pizza was very tasty also. read more

I ate here on my day on the island of Capri. There aren't too many options for vegetarians there but I settled on Sciue Sciue. I had the broccoli and mozzarella twist, which was pretty tasty. The service wasn't great (my wife and I had to wait a good 30 minutes, despite us ordering very little and it being 2:30-3 pm), especially since the Rick Steves guidebook recommended this place. "Off the beaten path" is a great description of this quaint little cafe in anacapri. We didn't want a tourist trap kinda restaurant. We walked (literally) for miles, trying to find a small, out-of-the-way place where the food would be authentic and fresh. When we spied Sciue Sciue, we knew it was just what we were looking for! A huge menu, with a great variety. The 6 of us each ordered something different and shared; and all said everything was delicious. You can't go wrong with anything you order here. And the staff is amazing!!! So friendly, attentive, and helpful. We hated to leave. Then we tried the limoncello- oh, my, god!!! THE best there is! And the owner makes it himself!!!! Great service and delicious food! We walked and looked at several menus until we found this place with nice service and quick service. Bruschetta was the best we've had so far in Italy and we may have asked for mozzarella and basil where it normally doesn't come with it. Delicious! Mushroom pizza was good and they had craft beer (which none has been as good in the US but better than expected). Nice place to stop during your trip to Anacapri. read more
