Craving a flavorful burger that's not the same-old same-old? Stop what you are doing and RUN (or drive) to El Kourmet. Their burgers are crazy-good and very different (but not different in a bad way). The standard El Kourmet burger comes with a fried egg, a slice of ham, bacon, lettuce, tomato, those canned shoestring fries, and what tasted like tartar sauce (which sounds weird, but it was amazing). The burger is also HUGE (for me anyway) and I could have easily split it with another human. I intended to only eat half of it, but after having a flavor explosion after the first bite (and realizing the other half probably wouldn't keep well for dinner), I ate the whole thing. Yes, I suffered with a too-full stomach, but it was worth it. I ordered 2 orders or tequenos (3 per order, so 6 total) for my 7 year old and he ate them all, which stunned me. They're huge. I had a bite of one and they were tasty, but nothing compared to that burger. I can't wait to try the salads and subs, but I need a few people to split them with me. Just had lunch with 2 of my kiddos. One boy ordered today El Kourmet burger, the other one ordered a hot dog meal. I tried to order a Mushroom sub with chicken, instead I wanted it to be with the steak. The person taking the order did not understand, I repeated several times to no avail. The person eventually called someone from the Harvest store across the parking lot to translate, we eventually ordered, took a while. When we got our order, burger and the hot dog were decent, but my Mushroom sub did not have mushrooms, I love mushrooms,, the person stated that they ran out. It's funny to walk up to this Yellow pull-behind food truck window after you've eaten there for the first time and before you even say anything you see the grin of the two guys working it. There smiles are filled with confidence, even cockiness (in a good way) they know exactly what your going to say. "That was freaken awesome man". This is one of my favorite spots for Venezuelan food. Excellent taste and great food! Their burgers and subs are very good and definitely must try the tequeños. I went there for the first time. Just for tequeños (fried dough filled with cheese) it was really good and they gave a sauce for free. Some other places charge you for the sauce. I hate that. Probably the best tequeños around Katy, and the prices were okay too. I will definitely go back and try something else. read more

We used to love coming here and while I was pregnant I would go at least every other day and get tacos. But for the past 8 months EVERYTIME we try to go here they are out of tacos! I've even asked "when is a good time for me to come get them because y'all are always out?" And her response was "I don't know". We've even tried going earlier in the day thinking well maybe they sell out by 6-7 pm but even at 2 pm they will not have them. Very disappointing. read more

We wanted burgers for lunch after Saturday morning kids soccer games, but didn't want a chain experience. El Kourmet showed up on Yelp and we checked it out - and we are glad we did. Our family of six gave it two thumbs up. Three burgers, two hot dogs, and a chicken sub hit the spot. I drive about 40 minutes to get to this deliciousness and it is worth the drive! The burger is huge and freakin delicious! I don't know what they put in their sauce but I'm addicted! The fries have the amazing sauce too and real bacon on top of them!! Bring a monster appetite when going to this place bc it is a lot of food and amazingly priced! I had their Kourmet Burger last night. It was great, the meat was dry but it help that the sauce was delicious. I order tequeños and I have to say they were the best part. They were freshly made and hot. Reason why I'm giving it a four stars is because they made my order wrong. I had to wait an additional 15 mins for a salad (which is a bit much).
