Me and my mom were looking for a lunch spot on our day out, and she can be pretty picky. So, I had to figure out where we can go where she can get something she would like. This is a small Venezuelan mom and pop bakery that really has a great honey aesthetic when entering. We decided to try the sandwich with little ketchup, a Conchita, and a shredded chicken empanada. SOOOO GOOD! The bread was super fresh and tasted hand-made. The empanada was fresh out of the fryer, and the Conchita bread was so soft. Loved everything! The empanadas were yummy! I got the chicken one. I would say If you're looking for a quiet, and cozy coffee place, this is not the place. It was very crowded and loud, and the toddler who was yelling and crying probably added majority of it but Blessed the momma who kept her calm, she did great and eventually did decide to take the food to go after 15 minutes of him yelling. They have a freezer and small corner for grocery shopping. The coffee was plain, and you have the option to add milk or one other flavor but don't recall what it was.They do have a sugar station to add but it's next to a table and it was very awkward to make your coffee because the family was eating and the station was very tight. I will add that the coffee had an "old" after taste. Therefore either the beans were old/exposed or pre-grounded which took the freshness away or the coffee machine tools are not being washed thoroughly, which is the reason for my 3 starts because my husband and I ended up throwing the coffee away.They did mess up my order but they fixed it very quickly which was impressive!!. We came here one night there was still 30 min before the store closed and the chairs were already up on the tables and they said they wouldn't put the chairs down for us to eat there . We let them know that there was still 30 min left and they said they wouldn't put them down for us. So we left. Bad service. Anywhere you go- they serve up until closing. read more

This bakery got my hearth it took me back to my beloved country Venezuela this is an authentic Venezuelan bakery, the bread is soft and fluffy, the piñita bread is delicious (sweet bread with sugar on top) pastries in a box, golfeados (sticky buns Venezuelan style) are really good also, they sell frozen Venezuelan products like tequeños (cheese sticks wrapped with dough) my favorites are the chia ones, the also have corn Tequeños and Nutella. Cachitos (kind of a Venezuelan kolaches) Cheeses of many varieties like Palmita, Queso de Mano, Gouda, Venezuela white shredded cheese and also Cotija. The service was awesome, Stephanie was super sweet and she gave us a really nice explanation of menu and made really nice suggestions in what to order, the place is super clean, and very well located close to I-10 and Grand Parkway. Amazing place. Typical Venezuelan bakery plus empanadas, pastelitos and tequenos. I'll have to come back so I can try their coffee. Friendly staff and super clean. They don't offer ice coffee but maybe if we all ask at once they will add a Venezuelan version of it. Eating here was like traveling back to my childhood in Maracay, Venezuela. read more

Okay, so I'm actually slightly lactose intolerant, really shouldn't have any cheese. But a coworker put me on tequenos, and ever since then I have been on the hunt. I am no means an expert, but I do enjoy a good cheese pull (and cheesier review lol). I was greeted the minute I walked in! They made my tequenos to order, however. They did have other pastries already ready to go! I was eyeing the guava and Nutella pastellitos and empanadas, but I came in for one thing, so that was the goal. There is inside seating and a little shopping area and although I didn't take advantage of either, it's a good mental note for me that I can get tequenos frozen to make at home! Also they had a bunch of cheese options for those dishes that require it. I also asked about coffee, I had decided against the coffee, but the owner made it for me to try and it was great!
