One of the best Salvi diners in the AV. I ordered the mojarra frita, pastelitos, yucca frita, and four pupusas revueltas. One jamaica and an esalada to drink. Everything tasted freshly made and just the way my mom or grandmother would make it. I ordered to go, as it was part a meal I would be sharing with my uncle who was recovering from surgery. The food was prepared relatively quickly and was carefully packed. We got everything we needed just as expected. The place is a bit small, but I've always been able to get a table and relax. read more

We've been here a few times and every time everyone is so pleasant and welcoming. The staff really create a great atmosphere in the restaurant. The food on top of everything is cooked very well. It has great options great flavors, and the food is cooked well. I have carne asada and it was cooked perfectly the yuca was fried and it had a great crunch. The tortillas are thick and fresh and the platanos on the dinner plate bring the whole meal together. read more

Came to eat here with my daughters during the farmers market hoping it was a good experience. I'm not happy with the service nor food provided. Got the order wrong almost feed my over year old pork after ordering bean and cheese pupusas for them. Spoke to one of the ladies and when she changed my order I asked if I could give her the wrong pupusa and she grabbed it with her bare hand off my plate. I ordered el kachimbon plate and since I'm pregnant ordered well done steak. I almost ate the raw meat they served me. My older daughter told me not to say nothing since the server had already given me attitude when I told her about the first mistake. After paying I got my receipt and noticed price hike differs from menu prices. Will not be coming back here again. read more

We went in on Friday for breakfast, and while the host seated us quickly and the order was taken smoothly, we ended up waiting an hour for our food. When it arrived, one of our pupusas was incorrect, even though we had the order read back to us. The breakfast plate was delicious but the customer service was bad . The place wasn't busy--just a few tables--and despite bringing the mistake back, the server didn't really follow up. Overall, it was a really frustrating experience. He didn't come back to see if we needed refills on our coffee or drinks, which made the whole wait feel even longer. When our food arrived the place was empty so we don't know why it was taking so long . Overall it was just a disappointing visit . read more

This place is, without a doubt, the best Salvadoran restaurant in East Lancaster. I happily come here twice a week for dinner and lunch because the food is just that good. I always get the pupusas and tamales--they are absolutely fantastic and the real deal. My best friend,, he is originally from El Salvador, completely vouches for this place, and so do I! Highly recommend this spot for authentic and delicious food. read more

I'd give this place a 3.5 if the feedback can be modified to be taken back for improvement. I ordered 6 pupusas to go and will have to give 10 stars for them. They were well-stuffed, fresh to order and not greasy. The Jamaica was overly sweet compared to other places but the bigger disappointment - which is the principle of the matter moreso - I was given only 1 small bag of the curtido (ensalada side) for SIX pupusas. Normally one bag is added if ordered 2 puspusas, so when asked for 1 more to balance the meal (I bought for myself and my parents), it was not complimentary & advised she would charge me, which she actually did. After paying $50 for lunch, it's nothing to excel in your customer service to give even portions of the curtido for the amount ordered. That never happens at other pupusas spots. For a large order, it's given. For this alone, I'd knocked down a few stars. read more

El Kachimbon - Pupusas and agua de Jamaica - Salvadoran Near Me - Lancaster, California

First the food: A good place for Pupusas, great variety. 3.00 for a Pupusa! Everything else is a bit overpriced and the quantities are small. The service is adequate, nothing to write home about. The ambiance: 8 small booths, two tables...nothing great. Details: The Sopa was like warm. The Atole de Maíz was watery. The Asada Kachimbon plate was very small and expensive. Except for the Pupusas, I cant recommend this location. read more

They have amazing good here ! And they have great customer service . All inclusive environment as well. Fun atmosphere as well.

As Cantarita this was one of our favorite, go-to restaurants. We especially loved the guacamole. Whatever happened with the name change (new owner? new cook?), it is not the same. Food is ok, at best. Ordered through Grub Hub and what they sent for guacamole and chips at $12.99 was a sad portion and just awful. Just chunks of hard avocado. Missing the wonderful flavor it had when made be Cantarita. Hopefully they can find the old recipe and bring it back because this was just disappointing. read more

I have no words. 0/10 experience. Would not recommend. The vibes were off, and the service was downright hostile. Absolutely not returning

Food was great. We ordered 4 different types of pupusas, a plate of fried yucca and pork as well as beans, crema, and plantains. Everything was well prepared and warm. Service was good, drinks were always full and we were offered chips and salsa when we sat down. Ambiance is simple and cozy. I'm not looking for and over the top experience , but for a family run restaurant the booths and tables get the job done. We will definitely be going back and there was no issues in regards to menu price versus what we were charged. read more
