Food is good. J love the chicken. Fresh and cooked to order. Service is quick and efficient when you order. But sitting down to eat is a different story. You need to always walk back to the cashier if you need a refill on your drink. read more

Ay Papa Que Rico - Cuban Near Me - Lancaster, California

Service was excellent. Chicken omg amazing. I got pinto beans and rice. It's a whole in the wall but those are the best places. You know a restaurant is clean by the restrooms. My only complaint is maybe get proper napkin holders. Don't let the area scare you away. It's clean it's inviting. I promise you it's so worth it. You get so much for your money. I'm definitely coming back. read more

This is a rare gem in the AV. The food here is really good and fresh! The chicken is amazing, tasty, well seasoned, and very feeling. They really give you a good portion of chicken and the pieces are not small like El Pollo Loco. I highly recommend getting their fried rice read more

I have enjoyed Papa Que Rico for years at their Palmdale location and the Lancaster location since it opened. Always great food and service. The parking lot is rough, but the inside is clean. My go to is the half chicken combo with rice, beans, pepper, and tortillas. read more

I had a very disappointing experience at Ay Papa Que Rico. The chicken was dry, tasted old, and definitely didn't seem fresh. I was expecting a hot, freshly prepared meal, but instead it felt like it had been sitting out for a long time. Unfortunately, this was not the quality I expected, and I won't be coming back. I hope they improve the freshness and quality of their food because no customer should have this experience. read more

Great service like there other restaurants and the food is amazing. I like pollo loco but this chicken is so much better. Plus the price for the quality is excellent. read more

Love love love this place!. The service and food are the best. You need to try their pollo asada and plátanos fritos

I was looking for a place to place a big order for chicken and came across this spot. The food was great, and the prices are very reasonable. They offer a nice variety of dishes too! They recently opened a new location around 10th Street in Lancaster, and the chicken there is just as delicious. I love it and definitely recommend it! read more

Food is always amazing and flavorful, the kitchen person is so smiling, but the cashier has a bad attitude not even hello or welcome, so that's the reason for a 3 stars. read more

Fire spot. There 1/2 smoked chicken plate is great. Very Flavorful food. Love the smokey taste. Drinks are small. Rice is delicious. Large Variety of food to choose from. Overall, I would come again! read more

Ay Papa Que Rico - 1/2 Chicken Combo (4 pieces) - Cuban Near Me - Lancaster, California

When I put in my order, I was given (2) prices - $50.74 if I pay cash and $58.74 if I'm paying by credit card. When I got there to pick up my order, the Cashier told me it's the "same" price ($58.74) whether I pay Cash or Card. I'm not from Palmdale nor Lancaster, so Sunday (March 8th) will be my first and last at this restaurant. I live in Canoga Park and I "love" our Ay Papa Que Rico here - great Customer Service (always) and quick pick up and of course "great" tasting food! I thought it would be the same at this location - not even close. read more

We went to this restaurant today, and it isn't the same as it used to be about a month and a half ago. Apparently, the restaurant is under new management, and it has affected the quality of service. We have to ask for simple things, such as salsa and crema, which they used to automatically come with every order. We asked for sides of rice and beans, and the beans were only half-filled in the container, and the rest was liquid. This new direction is very stingy. This new change in management only made changes that worsened the quality of the restaurant instead of improving it. read more

I will say it's a bit pricey, however the food quality has always been great. The service has never missed. The ladies are always nice. My faves are the asada bowl and a steak sandwich that they have. I haven't tried their pastries in the glass showcase but I have tried the pan dulce and it's just as delicious as their food. So yum! The place is pretty big inside. Lots of seating options. read more

Yes yes yes!! This is what your want went your craving some grilled chicken. This is what el pollo loco aspires to be. Crazy we actually got It in Lancaster.Smokey char taste on the juicy chicken, beans and rice were well seasoned. Tortillas were hot and fresh and their red and green sauces complement perfectly. 15 bucks for the 1/2 chicken well worth it and plenty for 1 person 2 kids could probably share it. I called ahead and was told 20 mins I pulled up food was ready the ladies were very kind i was in and out. It's in the old ihop building so there was plenty of seating. Must try Lancaster!! read more

It was my very first time walking into this establishment. I was greeted by a friendly worker with a very warm smile. I ordered a half of a chicken, no sides. I sat at one of the very comfortable booths and had a wonderful conversation with the owner while I waited for my order. She is a complete delight! My name was called and I went to pickup my food. My order was accompanied with some warm corn tortillas and salsas. I also received some freshly baked bread as well as a sweet treat, on the house! The chicken was well seasoned and char-grilled to perfection! Thank you Ay Papa Que Rico crew for a wonderful experience. I look forward to returning soon to try another item from your menu. Good people and delicious food! read more

A fantastic restaurant. From the beginning you can smell the chicken cooking as you walk in. The place and nice and clean. The gentleman cooking the chicken was very nice the lady behind the counter was also nice and explained a few things. The young ladies and the rest of the ladies in the restaurant were fantastic. This is truly great customer service. The food was amazing. The best limo saltado in town. Perfectly cooked not over seasoned with the potatoes done just right. My wife has the half chicken plate and it was very good. The platanos Fritos were delicious I would say the best in town that I have had. Overall a great dining experience. Keep up the good work and may this business thrive. My only complaint is to remove some of the wood from the bottom brace of the table. I hit my knee and it hurt!!! read more

Love their food!!! One of my favorite places to eat in the AV. The pork plate is my favorite and the chicken plate is really good too! Better than El Pollo Loco. I always also cater from them for my family and friends events I have if I don't feel like cooking. read more

Amazing food guaranteed!! Especially the chicken. It's the best chicken I've ever had in my life. Staff friendly and accommodating.

The service was mediocre. The food is sad, they cook with no love and it shows. They simply don't care which is fine. But I'd rather not even try the rest of the menu, I was excited for the potato balls but after getting the asada fries and a burrito. It's a pass for me. Cute establishment but the quality of the food has no flavor and it's bland. Sucks.... read more

Ay Papa Que Rico - Menu - Cuban Near Me - Lancaster, California

Hi Papi Que Rico in Lancaster new owner has made major cuts seasoning and ingredients of the chicken has changed the chicken now it's being cooked very dry with no flavor and burnt the cooks need learn how to cook it or bring in people that where cooking It before. Most of all staff in back are new to the restaurant new workers. Still the same ladies very slow, but one young lady there is amazing her name Chrystal is getting the chicken out to you, but the other two very slow, the restaurant is empty, and the parking lot issue with the back is terrible. Four cars have been broken into and the tagging consistently having to paint the restaurant. And hardly anybody's going in due to the terrible changes of the food. Highly recommend not to go there, you have a high chance of your car being broken into and their cameras never works many issues in this Restaurant. Don't see it staying open for very long. read more

The beef short ribs were good at least with the bbq sauce. The chicken burrito was ok. Beens and rice were meh. For $40 bucks I wasn't feeling it. Restaurant was filled with smoke from bbq's on front porch. AC Sucked, I would recommend takeout on a hot day like today. Bakery section looked good but did not try it. read more
