I have enjoyed Papa Que Rico for years at their Palmdale location and the Lancaster location since it opened. Always great food and service. The parking lot is rough, but the inside is clean. My go to is the half chicken combo with rice, beans, pepper, and tortillas. read more

When I put in my order, I was given (2) prices - $50.74 if I pay cash and $58.74 if I'm paying by credit card. When I got there to pick up my order, the Cashier told me it's the "same" price ($58.74) whether I pay Cash or Card. I'm not from Palmdale nor Lancaster, so Sunday (March 8th) will be my first and last at this restaurant. I live in Canoga Park and I "love" our Ay Papa Que Rico here - great Customer Service (always) and quick pick up and of course "great" tasting food! We went to this restaurant today, and it isn't the same as it used to be about a month and a half ago. Apparently, the restaurant is under new management, and it has affected the quality of service. We have to ask for simple things, such as salsa and crema, which they used to automatically come with every order. We asked for sides of rice and beans, and the beans were only half-filled in the container, and the rest was liquid. This new direction is very stingy. This new change in management only made changes that worsened the quality of the restaurant instead of improving it. read more

I will say it's a bit pricey, however the food quality has always been great. The service has never missed. The ladies are always nice. My faves are the asada bowl and a steak sandwich that they have. I haven't tried their pastries in the glass showcase but I have tried the pan dulce and it's just as delicious as their food. So yum! Crazy we actually got It in Lancaster.Smokey char taste on the juicy chicken, beans and rice were well seasoned. Tortillas were hot and fresh and their red and green sauces complement perfectly. 15 bucks for the 1/2 chicken well worth it and plenty for 1 person 2 kids could probably share it. I called ahead and was told 20 mins I pulled up food was ready the ladies were very kind i was in and out. It's in the old ihop building so there was plenty of seating. It was my very first time walking into this establishment. I was greeted by a friendly worker with a very warm smile. I ordered a half of a chicken, no sides. I sat at one of the very comfortable booths and had a wonderful conversation with the owner while I waited for my order. She is a complete delight! My name was called and I went to pickup my food. My order was accompanied with some warm corn tortillas and salsas. I also received some freshly baked bread as well as a sweet treat, on the house! A fantastic restaurant. From the beginning you can smell the chicken cooking as you walk in. The place and nice and clean. The gentleman cooking the chicken was very nice the lady behind the counter was also nice and explained a few things. The young ladies and the rest of the ladies in the restaurant were fantastic. This is truly great customer service. The food was amazing. The best limo saltado in town. Perfectly cooked not over seasoned with the potatoes done just right. My wife has the half chicken plate and it was very good. The platanos Fritos were delicious I would say the best in town that I have had. Overall a great dining experience. Keep up the good work and may this business thrive. My only complaint is to remove some of the wood from the bottom brace of the table. I hit my knee and it hurt!!! read more

Hi Papi Que Rico in Lancaster new owner has made major cuts seasoning and ingredients of the chicken has changed the chicken now it's being cooked very dry with no flavor and burnt the cooks need learn how to cook it or bring in people that where cooking It before. Most of all staff in back are new to the restaurant new workers. Still the same ladies very slow, but one young lady there is amazing her name Chrystal is getting the chicken out to you, but the other two very slow, the restaurant is empty, and the parking lot issue with the back is terrible. Four cars have been broken into and the tagging consistently having to paint the restaurant. And hardly anybody's going in due to the terrible changes of the food. Highly recommend not to go there, you have a high chance of your car being broken into and their cameras never works many issues in this Restaurant. Don't see it staying open for very long. read more
