Super Chilaquiles

Food was eh! 5/10 Service was fast 10/10 We ordered their súper chilaquiles but they were weak compared to their menu description. The place is a hole in the wall and every table was taken so we expected great dishes. Maybe we chose the wrong menu item to try. Someone next to us had a giant burrito- that might be their strong plate!

El Huarache De Doña Cehla, the name might be long and a little hard to pronounce, but the food is as authentic as it gets! Came here for brunch and really enjoyed our meal. I had the breakfast burrito with egg and chorizo, and it was hearty, flavorful, and super satisfying. Also tried their lime drink, which was refreshing and hit the spot. The owner provided great service and made us feel right at home. Located right in the downtown area of El Monte, this spot is definitely worth a visit if you're craving real Mexican comfort food. Will be back!

Very friendly staff and still a good amount of visitors even at 3PM. I got the soft tacos and they retail at $2.69 per taco. We also got the menudo and felt it was quite bland, but the portions were good for the price. Very family friendly environment and very clean space!

This hole in the wall restaurant is sooo yummy!!! My bf loves coming here since it's authentic Mexican food, like your abuelita cooking in the back. Prices are reasonable, the owner is so friendly! He truly hustles and gets everyone order in and out quickly. They are always busy with customers coming in, ordering to go and online orders but we've never had to wait long for our meal. My absolute favorite is their albondigas plate and fideo. Definitely a gem in El Monte!

First time trying Doña Chela and it was amazing! Food was so good and everyone was so nice. They even put on a kids movie for my daughter. The inside is small, but they do have two sides to the restaurant. Cafe de Olla was sweet but that's how I like it. Horchata was really. Ham and eggs were great. We tried the tamale de pollo and the flavor was great. But my FAVS were the Super Chilaquiles rojos. So so good! And the Huarache de Mole was also just as good! We came on a Sunday and they were busy. But I highly recommend trying it out. We will definitely be coming back!

Chicken Enchiladas with green sauce

Found a new gem near work. Tried this little restaurant with my coworkers and we all ordered different items. I ordered the chicken enchiladas plate and it was very good. My coworkers had the wet burrito (carnitas ) and it was big. The prices here are reasonable, and the owner was very nice. He recommended we try the chilaquiles soon, and I will definitely be back. The place was little but had a 2nd section for seating so it was very accommodating especially at lunch hour. Very nice people working here!

There are two entrances right next to each other; this confused us at first, but they are the same restaurant.

My family and I tried El Huarache and loved it so much that we ate there three nights in a row! Everything we tried was delicious: the chilaquiles, the cheese enchiladas, and the huaraches especially. Truly authentic and divine. Everyone who works there is so kind also. We plan on returning!

Carne Asada Wet Burrito with red salsa

Great find! We had to do an errand nearby and wanted some good local food for breakfast. We found Doña Chela - A cozy hole in the wall. From the moment we walked in we were greeted with smiles and courtesy. We were looking at the menu on the board but were quickly attended to and got to sit down where we wanted and they explained their specialties. They have delicious Cafe de la Olla and we got to try some chips with delicious homemade salsa as our starter. I got huevos rancheros and my boyfriend ordered the generous in size wet burrito with carne asada (steak). The food came out fast and hot! My boyfriend said it was the best burrito he's had in Southern California!! The huevos rancheros were delicious! Alberto, who attended us and took our order, is also the owner. He was very attentive, friendly, and helpful. We will be back - gotta try pozole and chilaquiles!

Carne asada Meat Sopes

This place is located in the valley mall and has plenty of parking. Came here to try the sopes. I almost ordered a huarache, but I was craving a sope. I was definitely not disappointed. It was made fresh and perfect. The service is great. Looking forward to trying a huarache next. Everything looked delicious and I can't wait to visit soon.

Super grateful for the service this morning felt very warm and welcomed by everyone thank you so much

Food is delicious! Prices are fair for the amount of food. Chilaquiles and sopes are my top picks. Must try if you're in the area.

It looks like a warehouse. In tell you come in side. It's totally different.. it looks like that because the sun hits the restaurant. So it's not bad in side. The restaurant is nice and quiet.. The people at the register were very nice and patient. They told me how big the burritos were and what comes with them. It just meat and tortillas. You can add beans and stuff for a little more. I got the Brea burrito. So I Oder two. They said everything made in shop. It felt home made. It wasn't over sauce.. it had a lot of meat. It's great lunch or small dinner. It's nice hole in the wall restaurant. I would come Here more often. They have a water station. Plus they sale home made tortillas. They're big flour tortillas..

They can get busy quick! We got: Platillo especial (2 birria burritos w green sauce on top) - the birria was a little too sweet for my liking. Personally it wasn't for me but I can see why other people will like it :) 7.5/10 2 frijoles y queso - if you're trying to fiber maxx this is a good one. Refried beans were cooked very good and tortilla was nice and fresh! The salsa on it was a good addition 8.8/10 chicken tinga - this I enjoyed. There was a lot of chicken and the inside of the burrito was saucy as well. 9.5/10 Would come back for the frijoles y queso and chicken tinga!!
