Okay, as you'll figure out... it's not much to look at. The truck has wheels but it's almost always there at the Shell Station. I came here on a Sunday with an order for tacos for the family. There is no food truck here. There's Chalita's Tamales, but it's closed.

I ordered asada & pastor tacos. The asada was delicious and would order again. The pastor was greasy which is a plus, but not very seasoned. Wouldn't get again. The salsa is spicy, but got good flavor. If you prefer mild like me, I would ask for it on the side. Another negative is this is cash only. read more

I had to steal a little chicken from my son's burrito just to see. It was really nice, juicy and tender. I got tacos, a lengua, cabeza and al pastor. I don't normally like lengua but it's one of those things like menudo that I promised my mama I would keep trying. I'm glad I did because it wasn't just good, it was the best. Like, I want more. I'm finally a convert. Sometimes cabeza is a little gamey for me, but theirs is lovely, its tender and melty soft and meaty and delicious. The sauce on both of those tacos was pretty mild. I was able to take bites of pickled jalapeno and carrot in between and not wish a passing fire truck could hose me down. The al pastor is great, tender and flavorful and nicely crisped up. But omg the salsa legit had me crying even without pickled jalapeno or carrot. Next time I'll ask them to leave the salsa off and get a side so I can go a little easier with it. It was still so delicious I ate every bite of them because its really amazing al pastor. Their onion is kind of chunky, I didn't detect any cilantro, and there were no radishes, just for future reference (other reviews mention them) but I don't really care. They are nice touches but if you can't nail the tortillas and meat, the rest doesn't matter. Speaking of tortillas, theirs are very good. I don't think they make them on site, but I'd bet they get them someplace local and they are tender, hold together just well enough and taste fresh. Little carts in Mexico rarely make their own either, they buy good ones from a good local supplier. So don't let the sour grapes from some other Yelper from California fool you, their tortillas are perfect just as they are. All in all I'll be back. Maybe with a bigger stomach because now I need two of the lengua and cabeza too. So delicious. read more

Best tacos ever, better than brick and mortar restaurants. Their chicken is amazing, flavorful and moist. I drink the juice from the plate because it's off the hook amazing. Their red and green salsas are homemade and fantastic. We have been coming here for years and it is always amazing. We get the tostadas, chicken--- makes my mouth water thinking of it. What can I say about this place that most people have not said already. The tacos, the tortas, the burritos omg they are just good. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. My go to is the tongue and al pastor tacos/tortas. They are just so moist and full of flavor and the way they pack these tacos is amazing. They put on the basic cilantro and diced onions and some salsa on the tacos. For those that don't eat tacos I would be careful since the salsa can pack a flavorful punch. The torta for me is my favorite. I always get an al pastor torta with everything. The bread is soft and moist packed with lettuce salsa the meat and more. The service is great and this family has been at this location for over 15 years. The food quality in places can go down over the years but not this place. The tacos come served in styrofoam clamshells, but the tortillas are grilled properly and maintain their form/taste for short drives. Not impressed. But I did give them three stars for effort. It is okay not good or great though. I am from a Los Angeles, CA. So I have had some bomb ass street tacos. This little food truck.is a five minute drive. Feeling adventurous today and bought some tacos...the meat is tough and gray old?, and it tasted like they reheated it back up in some oil, the salsa was okay not spicy enough. I sugguest they find a better meat vendor and make the tortillas by hand it is better cost effect and taste is way better than processed. Add more cilantro freshly diced small batches is the key ;) I been here in WA. Two weeks and thank goodness I am going back home for business I need some quality street tacos! This is, by far, the best taco cart in Portland/Vancouver (I have tried at least 30). So delicious, so reasonable, quite quick, wholesome food. They drive the truck there about 9 AM and drive out at about 8 pm 6 days a week, but no official hours. In addition to the tacos, which are a bargain, they have wonderful tortas. What I love most, and not all taco places get this, is that the meat tastes better when cooked in the salsa/veggies. Adding it later makes the meat dry in the center. I have eaten at this place literally (no joke) 200 or more times, I used to work right down the street. My favorite lunch of any kind. Now I must go there today. read more
