After two tries, one appliance repair company who said the problem was the plumbing and then the plumbing company who verified the plumbing wasn't the issue and assured me it was the appliance, Gulf Coast came to save my day! Thanks to the plumbing company for advising me to ask for a different appliance repair company because this was not the first time they've experienced this bogus excuse. And it's totally bogus because the past 20 years at least dishwashers have their own water heaters in them. Who knew, well I do now! Thank God that the second company AHS setup to come out didn't respond because after that I was so annoyed by their whole process that I called again and insisted on another company to which they finally sent out Gulf Coast. This company is the real deal, super experienced, came in diagnosed, ordered the part and came back right away to install it and now I have a perfectly working dishwasher that sanitizes and doesn't take 4 hours per cycle! PLUS, I have my go to appliance repair company if I ever need one. They work on Sub-zero too! Gulf coast is on top of it with follow up, communication , super professional, quick to respond and Alan is extremely knowledgeable and a no nonsense kind of guy. Perfect! Thanks so much!!! I can finally finish unpacking and washing everything before putting away!

It's been like pulling teeth to get them to order a simple part and show up to install it. I kid you not the part is just a special screw. Granted, I've rediscovered the joys of reheating food on my stovetop and there are bigger things in life to worry about. I'm just amazed by how this company is still in business if they refuse to help their customers.

This has happened several times. Even after telling us to unplug the machine the night before... and then nothing. No call, no show. I hesitated for months about writing this review because #1 I'm not trying to ruin anyone's business and #2 I didn't want to anger him and deter from continuing the service we already paid for. However at this point I don't feel that he is interested in our business either way. Kevin is a cool guy, personality wise. But business wise- Terrible. First encounter was March 2024 and the no ice / no cooling in either the freezer OR refrigerator issue is STILL not resolved as of now, September 2024. The last invoice paid was $350+ in May and supposedly came with a warranty but it does absolutely no good if he has zero contact. He has not answered or returned any calls or texts to either of the two telephone numbers since June. Again- cool dude- But if you want someone who will stand by their professional word and work... this one I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. (If by some miracle this gets resolved I will delete or edit this review. But for now, this has been our experience.)

We made a mistake in 2019 of buying an LG refrigerator at Best Buy. I have since found out it was…read morenot a good buy and I've been told more than once don't buy an LG refrigerator again and I won't. Our icemaker stopped working on multiple occasions, and this was the latest of those occasions. I tried to do some troubleshooting and it has worked a couple times but this last time nothing and that it was producing no ice whatsoever so I go online and try to find a couple places. The previous Yelp find, the guy came out and basically looked at it and said everything was fine. He did show me how to run diagnostic on it. I didn't know I could do that. It was a Bluetooth Device That is on the fridge that I was not aware of. But when I ran the test, it came back as everything on the fridge is working fine, but clearly it was not as it was not producing any ice. After another couple weeks of just buying bags of ice and manually putting them in the icemaker, so I can at least use my door ice machine I decided to call someone else and I called Kevin. He came out and took a look at it move the arm back-and-forth so I'll get you a quote and he called me back the next day and quoted me around $400. That that sounded not too bad of a price considering it was mostly the price of the parts however $400 on a $1500 refrigerator. that we are not gonna keep a long time didn't sound like the right investment to make so we did not go forward with the repairs. However, when Kevin was here and he was moving back the arm back-and-forth, all I can say is he has what I would call the repair man's Midas touch. That moving the arm back-and-forth doing a very basic diagnosis and tell them you don't buy LG fridge again, and now my icemaker is producing ice as it should be, also it should be noted Kevin did not charge me any fee. When I did a Yelp search it did say $60 diagnosis fee but I could not get a hold of him again to pay him the $60, so Kevin if you're out there and you see this holler back at me. I would absolutely call Kevin again, he had a quick response, and there was absolutely zero pressure to do anything that we did not want to do. He told me he works in the Houston area so if you're close to Houston. you should consider giving him a call for your repair needs.

In summary, my laundry room was recently painted and the dryer vent ducting came out of the back of the machine. I tried to fix it myself but when I pushed the machine back against the wall the duct kept coming off. Unfortunately I found this out by leaking a whole dryer load worth of hot air into my house (fortunately we have an electric dryer so it wasn't bad fumes). Anyways, I yelped around to find a good local company, and strawberry appliance was able to make it out within a few hours. The guys were friendly, replaced the duct from the wall to the machine with a more pliable one so that would stop coming undone, and all this went well. The issue was the connection on the opposite side of the wall had come undone from the work they did, so essentially all the hot air wouldn't have ducted directly outside. I'm sure this would have caused some moisture issues, and I would have expected them to check that before they wrapped up, but they appreciated me catching it and were able to quickly and easily fix it. Overall I would use them again, but would keep an eye out as they haven't fully gotten my trust yet due to the one mistake on the one time they came out.
