Arif was extremely rude and unprofessional. He interrupted us and talked over us at every chance he could. He was disrespectful and demanding that we pay the bill immediately without giving me time to review the bill with my husband (I needed a maximum of five minutes). He did not clean up after himself and left a dirty workspace for us to clean up. This was the worst experience I have ever had from a service call. Arif made me feel very uncomfortable, and I was shocked the way that he spoke to both of us. This being said, the work we wanted done was completed with notice of a 30 day warranty on the work performed. We were informed of the cost before the work was done. The pricing was reasonable and we were happy to have the work performed for the provided cost. Everything would have been fine if he did not interrupt my business call and demand he was paid immediately so that he could go to his next job. We all have jobs, and we were not treated as a client should be. We will not be using Max Appliance Repair again. read more

I called Max Appliance Repair to check on my induction stove after receiving error codes. The company sent an inexperienced technician, who took the stove off the of the counter, then re-installed it with a .25 inch gap. We didn't realize that this was the case until gap caused the stove top to crack under normal use. I have shared pictures of the right side of the stove (with a gap) vs left (no gap) and have made 5 phone calls without resolution. I will be filing a claim with my credit card company for the cost of the technician visit, and their insurance company to replace my stove. tl;dr- The company broke my $1,000 stove and has so far, refused to replace it. read more

Zero stars -- complete scammers. They came out, pressed a button on the dryer, and then charged me $92. They didn't even bring any tools. After they left and my dad did a load of laundry and realized the dryer was still broken, my dad called to speak to a technician. He was told they would call back in 10 minutes... they never did. I called them back using the same number I originally made the appointment with. A robotic message said the call would be recorded, then a man answered ...the same man we had spoken to earlier and who came to the house. He immediately passed the phone to a woman who claimed, "We don't even work on dryers or have a company", I could hear babies in the background, which made the situation feel even more unprofessional. The man then took the phone back, claimed he was the one who had been scammed and that he only owns a construction company, then hung up. After that, he spam called and FaceTimed me on WhatsApp using a construction company logo as his profile picture. I checked the emailed invoice and found another phone number listed. When I called it, another woman answered ...again, with the same background noise. She repeatedly asked what the issue was, and I politely explained I wanted to speak with the technician. She asked for the technician's phone number that came to the house, I gave it to her, and she said he would call me back in 10 minutes. I told her I had already waited three hours and needed a call back immediately. She then asked what the issue was again, so I asked whose number was the one that used to speak to them all day (the technicians number) She said she didn't know ...even though she had just said she would have him call me back!!!! I asked to speak with a manager, and she refused, saying only the technician would call me. When I asked for management's number or to have them call me, she refused again. At that point, I told her this felt like a scam and that I would be disputing the charge, then I hung up. She immediately called back saying, "You hung up, I still don't understand the problem." This entire company appears to be fraudulent. It's alarming that they show up as one of the first results online and have so many positive reviews because my experience was extremely suspicious and unprofessional. Unfortunately, the tech that repaired our oven and microwave is no longer servicing the Houston area, and it's a different person doing the scheduling. We had an exceptionally terrible experience when our dishwasher broke in November 2024. After literally 4 visits (and two missed appointments) over the course of several weeks, not only were TWO techs not able to fix the leak in our dishwasher, but they actually scratched up our new luxury vinyl plank floors that were put in in 2022. They did eventually refund the service fee and parts that didn't work, but didn't respond to my messages about the scratched floors (with pictures). After all this, we ended up ordering a new dishwasher, and it runs just fine. I don't know why Max Appliance Repair couldn't fix our previous one, and our floors are still scratched, but I know we won't be using Max Appliance Repair in the future. read more

I had three Thurmador units installed a fridge, freezer and a wine fridge all column side by side. The communication with Max was excellent! They were very reasonable with pricing and did what they said they were going to do and arrive earlier than the schedule time to install which was great. They also finished sooner than what was expected. The units I had installed needed to be fully assembled which was not easy. Wow! Eli was an amazing technician. I had an issue with my washer where the lock mechanism had broken. I messaged here through yelp and the owner / manager was very responsive and booked me for the following day so I didn't have to deal with the issue too long. I love that Eli sent me his ETA so we knew when he would be arriving, and when he showed up he was so friendly and personable. He worked quickly and efficiently and even showed me where the latches were on the top panel that release it from the container (I had previously tried to fix it myself but couldn't get it open!) which was nice of him. I contacted Max Appliance Repair this morning to see why my 34 year old KitchenAid double oven wasn't heating. They provided me with a quick response and a time frame of when they could check it out to see what was wrong. Emil texted me to inform me that he would arrive in 45 minutes. He was on time and immediately begin assessing the ovens. He was able to fix two broken springs by making the old ones work because they are discontinued as well resolving the heating issues in both ovens for a very reasonable repair cost. Emil was amazing! I am truly impressed. He was able to buy me a little more time before having to replace it which is going to be more than just dropping a new oven into the wall. Dmitriy contacted me about 45 min prior to arriving to give me a heads up. He was very courteous and friendly. He was very knowledgeable with my unit and with a few minutes of troubleshooting, he was able to identify the issue (compressor inverter control board went bad). I had a situation that wasn't a very nice situation let me put it to you that way during the ice storm 7 months ago I realized that I had to put a pump into my Maytag which is only a few years old and I called max appliance and his partner put in a pump that I thought was good enough and brand new apparently not. I was told by the recent appliance man that came by told me that it was not brand new it was a used Pump and my 7mo old pump new pump That was placed for $320. Even-though it was in late afternoon, surprisingly they offered me a same day appointment with a diagnostic fee cheaper than the other company. Alex showed up within the time window they had promised me and during the entire diagnostic and repair process he was extremely polite, knowledgeable, and on top of everything. He neatly opened up my entire washer and laid down every screw and small piece in order, just like a surgeon in an operating room. I sent a request to Max AR around 8am and heard back from Ella within a few minutes. Within an hour we were on the schedule. Elon texted and was here when he said he'd be. Elon was very cheerful and professional. I told him the heater was not drying and he told us all the possibilities. It wasn't long before he diagnosed the problem. He asked for our vacuum and gave everything a good cleaning whilst he did the repairs. Despite having a perplexing problem of it not heating after he'd replaced everything, and taking it apart two more times, he then realized it was on "air fluff". We felt back because we knew it was't heating, we had put it on this setting trying to get some clothes dried. Our 10 year old dryer works great now and it super cleaned out! My dishwasher that is only 3 years old started leaking water, I called and the guy came out in a tiny car, instead of a large van stocked with parts. He said the pump went bad and of course he didn't have the part. A few days later he came back and said he fixed it. After he left, I saw a large piece of rubber that was left on my counter. I sent him a picture and he said it was fine. I started the dishwasher and when I came back by the kitchen, there was water all over my floor!!!! Nothing has been fixed and I still had the same exact problem. He came back and I asked him what the problem was and he said "Ma'am, I don't know". He put it back together and fixed whatever the problem was, but I'm sure it wasn't what I was originally told. I feel like they took advantage because I don't know about appliances.
