Service within one hour. Fast , friendly repair . Good value. Would definitely use again.

The old washing machine stopped spinning and was leaking water from underneath. Igor examined the drum, calculated the price for a new motor plus labor, and frankly admitted that buying a new washer would be more cost-effective. Rare to find a technician who prioritizes honesty over a quick paycheck. read more

If I could leave less than 1 star I would. Do not trust this company. I requested a service call after first disclosing I think the parts will be obsolete for a high end exhaust hood vent. I provided the model number and part number for them to check before they accepted the call. They came anyway once and never followed up. I called them a month later and they said they would call me back and haven't. I called them 2 months later and said the same thing. No response. Took my money and ran. Use this company at your own risk. $100.00 service fee out the window! read more

Stay away. This is one of the rudest companies I have ever tried to do business with. I called to request service and simply asked whether they provide free quotes. I was abruptly hung up on. I called back to find out what happened, and the representative was even ruder during the second interaction. I understand that not every customer or request may be a good fit, but there is no excuse for treating people this way. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this company. read more

Constantin came to the house on time, quoted for a part replacement at 350. During disassembly noticed a faulty plug. Fixed plug and total charge of 175. Super honest, will recommend to everyone I know. read more

I don't even want to give this company 1 star! My dryer wasn't drying properly, and I was getting an error message. The technician spent 10-15 minutes in the laundry room (I heard no sounds; moving the dryer out, taking anything apart, etc), and then declared LG's never break, and there was nothing wrong with it. As I was paying the technician the service fee, he told me he had already completed 5 jobs, and was on his way to finish 7 more before end of day. Make that make sense! How does anyone visit 12-13 jobs, and actually do any repairs, IN ONE DAY? Needless to say, next time I tried to use the dryer, the issue was still there. Tried to get them back to fix it, but they insisted I would have to pay another service fee. Nope! Not getting ripped off twice by these people! Clearly, they are about quantity & not quality. BEWARE! read more

Scam! Stay away. This company charges you a fee to come out and give a quote. The quote will be multiples of what any reasonable repair technician would charge. I had a simple ignitor issue...$7 part and 15 minutes repair. They wanted $300 on top of the $89 fee to come out. Just stay away! read more

I had a technician come to diagnose the problem with my LG refrigerator that was not dispensing water. He charged me $96 to diagnose and told me the motherboard was the problem. So I bought a motherboard and replaced it but the refrigerator still did not dispense water. I called them back for the technician to come and continue but the office told me I would have to pay ANOTHER $96 for him to come out. So I can get another False diagnosis? I would stay way from this company. read more

Had to cancel the job since he never showed with the part. Wrote them a check for $200 and was supposed to be refunded $110. Still waiting for my refund and have been ghosted. I won't hold my breath. read more

Excellent, prompt and professional service! We experienced problems with our Samsung refrigerator and the technician repaired it within 15 minutes. The charge was only $100 and we even received a discount for writing a check. We learned they service all appliances so we will definitely be using them again! read more

They came out and told me it needed a part. They said $50. I was cool with that. I was thinking it was going to be that on top of the $89. He had it fixed in 20 minutes. Then wanted to charge most $500! I told him no way I was going to pay that much. So he took his part back out and unplugged a bunch of things on my fridge. Ran off with $96 in less than an hour for doing absolutely nothing. Plus he was rude about it. When I called into the office to try and get an explanation of why the quote was so high, he told me $200 for parts and $280 for labor. But I know the part was only $50 so he really was charging me $400 for 20 minutes worth of work. Absolutely insane. read more

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. Here's the hustle. They wil come out for 15 min and tell you that they can repair for the same as a new unit. And they pocket $96.34. Good con game. read more

I called Max Appliance Repair to check on my induction stove after receiving error codes. The company sent an inexperienced technician, who took the stove off the of the counter, then re-installed it with a .25 inch gap. We didn't realize that this was the case until gap caused the stove top to crack under normal use. I have shared pictures of the right side of the stove (with a gap) vs left (no gap) and have made 5 phone calls without resolution. I will be filing a claim with my credit card company for the cost of the technician visit, and their insurance company to replace my stove. tl;dr- The company broke my $1,000 stove and has so far, refused to replace it. read more

Fixing a refrigerator that suddenly stopped cooling required urgent attention. Val diagnosed a faulty start relay within fifteen minutes and replaced the defective part on the spot. Today I had a wonderful experience with Max Appliance Repair. The technician Ross was knowledgeable and polite. Everything was explained clearly, and the pricing was very fair with no surprises. My fridge is working perfectly now. All I can say Amazing service!!! read more

Arif was extremely rude and unprofessional. He interrupted us and talked over us at every chance he could. He was disrespectful and demanding that we pay the bill immediately without giving me time to review the bill with my husband (I needed a maximum of five minutes). He did not clean up after himself and left a dirty workspace for us to clean up. This was the worst experience I have ever had from a service call. Arif made me feel very uncomfortable, and I was shocked the way that he spoke to both of us. This being said, the work we wanted done was completed with notice of a 30 day warranty on the work performed. We were informed of the cost before the work was done. The pricing was reasonable and we were happy to have the work performed for the provided cost. Everything would have been fine if he did not interrupt my business call and demand he was paid immediately so that he could go to his next job. We all have jobs, and we were not treated as a client should be. We will not be using Max Appliance Repair again. read more

The Company did a great job repairing our refrigerator and our charge was very reasonable.

Zero stars -- complete scammers. They came out, pressed a button on the dryer, and then charged me $92. They didn't even bring any tools. After they left and my dad did a load of laundry and realized the dryer was still broken, my dad called to speak to a technician. He was told they would call back in 10 minutes... they never did. I called them back using the same number I originally made the appointment with. A robotic message said the call would be recorded, then a man answered ...the same man we had spoken to earlier and who came to the house. He immediately passed the phone to a woman who claimed, "We don't even work on dryers or have a company", I could hear babies in the background, which made the situation feel even more unprofessional. The man then took the phone back, claimed he was the one who had been scammed and that he only owns a construction company, then hung up. After that, he spam called and FaceTimed me on WhatsApp using a construction company logo as his profile picture. I checked the emailed invoice and found another phone number listed. When I called it, another woman answered ...again, with the same background noise. She repeatedly asked what the issue was, and I politely explained I wanted to speak with the technician. She asked for the technician's phone number that came to the house, I gave it to her, and she said he would call me back in 10 minutes. I told her I had already waited three hours and needed a call back immediately. She then asked what the issue was again, so I asked whose number was the one that used to speak to them all day (the technicians number) She said she didn't know ...even though she had just said she would have him call me back!!!! I asked to speak with a manager, and she refused, saying only the technician would call me. When I asked for management's number or to have them call me, she refused again. At that point, I told her this felt like a scam and that I would be disputing the charge, then I hung up. She immediately called back saying, "You hung up, I still don't understand the problem." This entire company appears to be fraudulent. It's alarming that they show up as one of the first results online and have so many positive reviews because my experience was extremely suspicious and unprofessional. I have also continued receiving calls from the same people using different phone numbers and area codes: (832) 261-7909 (832) 288-7576 (832) 695-4062 (832) 713-8732 read more

Had them come out to look at a leaking washing machine. Said they'd be back multiple times but got busy and had to change dates or showed late. Unfortunately, the tech that repaired our oven and microwave is no longer servicing the Houston area, and it's a different person doing the scheduling. We had an exceptionally terrible experience when our dishwasher broke in November 2024. After literally 4 visits (and two missed appointments) over the course of several weeks, not only were TWO techs not able to fix the leak in our dishwasher, but they actually scratched up our new luxury vinyl plank floors that were put in in 2022. They did eventually refund the service fee and parts that didn't work, but didn't respond to my messages about the scratched floors (with pictures). After all this, we ended up ordering a new dishwasher, and it runs just fine. I don't know why Max Appliance Repair couldn't fix our previous one, and our floors are still scratched, but I know we won't be using Max Appliance Repair in the future. read more

Wow! Eli was an amazing technician. I had an issue with my washer where the lock mechanism had broken. I messaged here through yelp and the owner / manager was very responsive and booked me for the following day so I didn't have to deal with the issue too long. I love that Eli sent me his ETA so we knew when he would be arriving, and when he showed up he was so friendly and personable. He worked quickly and efficiently and even showed me where the latches were on the top panel that release it from the container (I had previously tried to fix it myself but couldn't get it open!) which was nice of him. He got along well with my mom and I, and he loved my cats! Apparently one of them looks like his own haha. I highly recommend Eli, he was great! I had three Thurmador units installed a fridge, freezer and a wine fridge all column side by side. The communication with Max was excellent! They were very reasonable with pricing and did what they said they were going to do and arrive earlier than the schedule time to install which was great. They also finished sooner than what was expected. The units I had installed needed to be fully assembled which was not easy. The follow up and responsiveness to me after the installation was also excellent. Overall I recommend and would definitely use again! read more

They will overcharge you like crazy, go elsewhere. Charge your customers a fair price the first time instead of holding them hostage with the $89 dollars "Service Fee". Tried to charge $459 for a repair including 1) a $30 part, 2) maybe one hour of work. Go figure. read more

I contacted Max Appliance Repair this morning to see why my 34 year old KitchenAid double oven wasn't heating. They provided me with a quick response and a time frame of when they could check it out to see what was wrong. Emil texted me to inform me that he would arrive in 45 minutes. He was on time and immediately begin assessing the ovens. He was able to fix two broken springs by making the old ones work because they are discontinued as well resolving the heating issues in both ovens for a very reasonable repair cost. Emil was amazing! I am truly impressed. He was able to buy me a little more time before having to replace it which is going to be more than just dropping a new oven into the wall. I will definitely be calling them again should the need arise. read more

My built in refrigeration stopped cooling (both freezer and refrigerator sections). I called Max Appliance Repair in the morning and was set up with a technician in the afternoon, same day. I had a situation that wasn't a very nice situation let me put it to you that way during the ice storm 7 months ago I realized that I had to put a pump into my Maytag which is only a few years old and I called max appliance and his partner put in a pump that I thought was good enough and brand new apparently not. I was told by the recent appliance man that came by told me that it was not brand new it was a used Pump and my 7mo old pump new pump That was placed for $320. So I called Max and told him what happened so he do the right thing and give me 120 back to me. I was not fully reimbursed but it was 7 months later so I accepted the 120. I decided to buy a new washer. Life goes on folks, I was told by Max that he fired his partner who no longer works there. Fyi read more

I sent a request to Max AR around 8am and heard back from Ella within a few minutes. Within an hour we were on the schedule. Elon texted and was here when he said he'd be. Elon was very cheerful and professional. I told him the heater was not drying and he told us all the possibilities. It wasn't long before he diagnosed the problem. He asked for our vacuum and gave everything a good cleaning whilst he did the repairs. Despite having a perplexing problem of it not heating after he'd replaced everything, and taking it apart two more times, he then realized it was on "air fluff". We felt back because we knew it was't heating, we had put it on this setting trying to get some clothes dried. Our 10 year old dryer works great now and it super cleaned out! We feel the cost of the repair was reasonable. Elon is very knowledge, able, friendly and professional. We highly recommend Max! read more
