1 minute read: I will assign 5 Stars to most businesses on account they're in business for the business. El Caporal won't let you down. Their menu is typical and gaily priced. If you go by there, stop by and get a BUCHE Burrito. My favorite. Thanks.

3.5 stars. In a tiny plaza with limited parking in the lot. There is a good amount of seating inside but you can smell the cleaning products. The staff seems to speak limited English. The only service you get is ordering so keep an eye out for your food to come out of the kitchen and it comes out pretty quick. This place is definitely not about presentation. You get your food on a styrofoam plate on a plastic tray. The chips are just sprinkled onto your plate. Chips are great. The al pastor is different from what I'm used to but they were flavorful. The splash of red sauce on the tacos have a lingering kick. Two tacos come out to roughly $5.

    Burnt food, no cheese, disgusting

Went here for the first time because it was close to work the food is horrible. The quesadilla was so burnt that when I opened my food at the office every one could smell the burnt smell and it tasted just as awful. Hardly any cheese and it's really hard to mess up a quesadilla. I would never serve burnt food let alone if someone was paying for it... Spanish: la comida es horrible la quesadilla casi no tenia queso y estaba súper quemada que toda la oficina me estaba preguntando que olia quemado. Nunca serviría comida quemada mucho menos cuando alguien está pagando por su comida. Sabe asqueroso

Excellent food chicken tacos. I don't speak Spanish so some of the food required translations from my phone. The cashier was really nice trying to translate for me. They even let me sample the chivas (goat) and it did not taste goaty. It was like shredded beef. I looked it up and it said that it's more healthy than chicken. So yummy. Next time I'll try that goat soup. I would definitely come back to try more. The place is clean but not great decor. Simple. At least the photos on the wall were helpful!! Parking was tight on a Thursday evening but plenty of street parking.

Personally my favorite quick bite Mexican spot In the Valley. Not over priced, service is good, the salsa actually taste like salsa (not overly sweet) & the portions are great. My usual would be a ceviche tostada & carne asada tacos. This place never fails! The burritos are also nice n stuffed (again, great portions). Highly recommend :) *Reading some of these reviews make me laugh, go down the street to Salsa and Beer if you want a full authentic PLATE. 5+

Cheese enchiladas - served cold, my fav!

By the good reviews, I surely thought I was in luck to have a nearby Mexican restaurant that is in close proximity to my house. It was a Saturday afternoon, maybe three other patrons inside. I asked if they had some sort of fish or shrimp tacos, where immediately I was told no. I opted for some cheese enchiladas, seems safe enough. Ten dollars, and maybe three minutes later I get my order. I think to myself wow, that was fast! Only to arrive home and have a cold plate of enchiladas. The cheese wasn't melted, the sauce was canned, and to make matters worse the rice was flavourless! How do you even mess up rice?? The beans were just about the only thing I ate. Will not be coming back!

Puro frijol y unos tres pedacitos de lengua por casi $15! Como ??

Been coming here since I was a kid, the food simply never misses. Best tacos de lengua in the valley if not the whole state.

We ordered two breakfast burritos plus a side of rice for our daughter and everything came out hot, fresh, and seriously flavorful. The tortillas tasted freshly warmed and had that perfect light crisp on the outside while still soft inside. The fillings were generous without being messy and every bite had balanced flavor instead of just tasting like eggs wrapped in a tortilla. You can tell they actually season their food properly. What really stood out was the service. My wife had a very specific way she wanted her burrito made and they were completely accommodating and happy to do it. No attitude, no confusion, just friendly and helpful. That alone goes a long way. The rice was simple but really good which kept our daughter happy and that is always the true test. Between the value, portions, and welcoming vibe this feels like the kind of neighborhood spot you end up coming back to regularly. Great food, kind people, and satisfying portions. We will definitely be back.

Service: The two young girls working the counter act like they watch too much reality tv and think they're above everyone else. Doesn't help their cause. The ambiance: filthy. Pay attention to everything both out front and behind the counter. All filthy everywhere, and the place is falling apart. Just nasty and run down. This should have been enough evidence to us that the food prep was also garbage. Risked it and regretted it both times! Summary: Do not eat here! Some reviews compliment some items on the menu. But totally not worth the gamble to most likely end up with trash, bacteria or something worse mixed in with your food! HARD PASS!!
