We ordered two breakfast burritos plus a side of rice for our daughter and everything came out hot, fresh, and seriously flavorful. The tortillas tasted freshly warmed and had that perfect light crisp on the outside while still soft inside. The fillings were generous without being messy and every bite had balanced flavor instead of just tasting like eggs wrapped in a tortilla. You can tell they actually season their food properly. What really stood out was the service. My wife had a very specific way she wanted her burrito made and they were completely accommodating and happy to do it. No attitude, no confusion, just friendly and helpful. That alone goes a long way. The rice was simple but really good which kept our daughter happy and that is always the true test. Food quality: first visit I got sick! Cross contamination likely. Second visit found paper in the champurado. Poor quality control altogether!! Service: The two young girls working the counter act like they watch too much reality tv and think they're above everyone else. Doesn't help their cause. The ambiance: filthy. Pay attention to everything both out front and behind the counter. All filthy everywhere, and the place is falling apart. Just nasty and run down. This should have been enough evidence to us that the food prep was also garbage. Risked it and regretted it both times! Summary: Do not eat here! Some reviews compliment some items on the menu. I love this place. It feels Mexican as hell. Like their carna asada is so good im having dreams about it. Their burritos make me forget all about the economy and everything wrong in my life. There's a little market kinda connected to it too which is so cute. I went here after a date once because the date was so bad and this healed me. The lady at the counter is so beautiful and nice. Las Fuentes has my favorite wet burritos in the Valley (Do you disagree?). However, I did not want to drive 20 minutes to Reseda so I thought I would take a chance with El Rancherito on Woodman; however, that was a mistake. - Flavor: 1/10 (I actually preferred their chips and beans more than the actual burrito. The burrito was super salty, very basic, I did not enjoy eating it- nor did my dad) - Presentation: 3/10 (see photo attached) - Packaging for Take Out: 3/10 (their red sauce spilled everywhere in the bag) +The real and only plus was that the they prepared this burrito swiftly. It took less than 10 minutes for two wet burritos to be ready. +Price: The total cost for two burritos & chips (like the photo below) and a very large drink was $26.87. It's affordable and the portion is generous. If I wasn't such a piggy, I could definitely split a burrito this size into two meals. Although I will not be back because flavor is the most important factor for me when it comes to food, I can see the appeal (big portions, decent price, quick service). read more

My husband thought it would be a good idea to come to this restaurant for Sunday brunch for some reason... drove out from Chatsworth and as my family and I were seated inside the Mexican looking storefront, we heard a guy complain there were too many hairs in the menudo, totally grossed me out. We had ordered a Gordita and taco combo as well as a pozole for my husband. He complained the pork smelled potent. Limited service restaurant, accepts credit cards and a variety of a menu. Yeah, a little disappointed. I really wanted to like this place but it just wasn't going to happen on this visit. The service was friendly, the Salsa options were ok but the place is not that clean and the food I ordered just wasn't good. I had the Carne Asada Crunchy Taco Plate and the Carne Asada Burrito. Besides the mayonnaise heavy salad, the quality of the meat wasn't good. Every bite had gristle. I could not finish the burrito. This place has it's own parking lot but shares it with the mini mart in the back. There are about 3 tables set up outside under a tarp for outside dining. They don't see to be 6 feet apart though. All the tables inside have been blocked off and cleared out. Only thing open is the salsa bar. I'm surprised they actually have this out in the open during covid. Ordered the carne asada burrito & enchilada. The burrito was actually loaded with meat and not just rice & beans like other places. The meat is chopped up steak and not ground beef. It's so loaded that they couldn't really wrap up the burrito. It was pretty tasty, but lacked seasoning. I had to eat it with salsa. The enchilada was also tasty, but they did not put enough of the red sauce with it. It actually tasted like they just rolled up the beef and topped it with cheese and then heated it until the cheese melted. Not sure if that's how enchilada's are supposed to be made, but that doesn't seem right. Anyways, this is going to stay as one of my go to's in the Valley. read more

This is so disgusting. We got other food too and it just didn't taste right and didn't look right either . Very messy and just all over the place. But pictures don't lie . My phone was dead so I didn't get pictures of the most delicious breakfast burrito I've ever had in my life! This place is a dive!! You will feel like you've walked into a little spot into Tijuana! And you will not be disappointed! The place was packed on a Sunday morning. I grabbed a Machaca an egg burrito. Tortilla was handmade and the meat was tender and delicious. I ordered it a special way and they got my order perfectly right. I can't wait to come back again and try something else! They have an outdoor seating area that has lovely lights until 10 PM at night and they do Postmates if you get a craving and don't want to drive. Highly recommend the spot! This is a great place to have good authentic Mexican food, Oscar is there to greet you and take your order he is one of the owners with his brothers, they're so nice and humble and the food is so delicious. Whenever we buy the staff is very friendly, the food comes out quickly, and they give you a free bag of homemade chips and salsa. The rear service yard is strewn with all number of random objects; unsightly, the umbrellas on the patio are ancient and dirty... Chipped and scratched walls and doors abound.
