Ordered a few times with doordash. The food was excellent. The most authentic Mexican I've had in Watertown. Highly recommend.

She relocated to Syracuse, NY and opened a Fried Dough stand at the market. She looks a little different though. She has a new husband and her daughter helps her out and they're really, super friendly. Anyone would think she had nothing to do with Eminem and that the daughter wasn't actually Hailie. But we know better. It's her. What to get: Fried Dough for $2 What else: I think my Dad's gone crazy I had the lemonade too, which was $1.50 and just okay. But let's focus on the star attraction. This is some of the best Fried Dough I've ever had. If you're up in Da Cuse and you want some Dough, this is the place to go. It's absolutely delicious and it's enormous! Basically for $2 they give you a huge long stick of dough (way bigger than even the biggest thingy, since you asked), and it's piping hot, greasy, juicy, fresh, delicious, and absolutely covered in cane sugar. I adore it. I'm not the biggest fan of some fried doughs, but this one is right up there with the best of them. It's made in a lot of places in WNY and CNY but I don't think anyone in this region makes it as well as Kim does. I'm so glad she left Eminem and opened up this place. And it's great that, at $2, you don't need a lot of Dough to get the Dough. So in the words of Homer Simpson: Dough!

I dream about this place…read more Our second year coming in late September for a city escape, Flossie's came highly recommended by my buddy who visits often. I'm sad to say that I don't remember what we got last year, just that we loved it. So of course, we had to repeat again this year! And oh man, it did not disappoint. I didn't want to eat with my toddler because I did NOT want to share. I gave him a few fries because he could smell them but there was no chance he was going to touch my sandwich. Hubby got the Texan brisket (special and the last one!) and I got the chicken pesto panini. My wonderful husband offered to do splitsies and ... well, he only got a couple bites. Sadly, because of said toddler and infant in tow, we couldn't eat it there when the fries were fresh so they were a tad sad when we finally sat to eat them. No dock on Flossie's - that's our fault. I'm certain they would have been amazing fresh! All of this to say....if you're in the area or planning a visit, make sure you stop by. You won't be disappointed. Unless they're closed...that's why you need to plan your schedule around their opening hours. A second location is opening in Belleville ... kudos to Flossie's for making their dreams happen! Sorry for not taking a picture of our sandwiches. Like I said, I couldn't wait. It was very much a GET IN MY BELLY moment.

First things first, their menu is mostly pictures so it would be good to ask about ingredients if you have any food intolerances. There may also be off menu items so feel free to ask their pleasant staff. Most of the items don't have prices but it's generally around $20 pretax. It's a bit pricier than expected but the food and environment makes up for it. We tried a few of their sandwiches and they were all juicy and flavourful in their own way. It's all packed with a healthy combination of high quality ingredients. The burger was cooked to a nice juicy medium rare, and the sandwich breads were toasted perfectly. You have the choice of the usual sides, but the coleslaw definitely stands out with a creamy and sweet but well balanced profile. The outdoor seating is an absolute boon for a spring/summer PEC visit. Enjoy the shade and the gentle breeze as you bite into your juicy sandwich!

When I moved to South Carolina and we…read morewould come home for a visit with our children, the first places we would hit was Heid's and Wegmans. It's funny how you miss a crock and paint stirrer full of mustard in the old days. White birch beer and Byrne Dairy Chocolate Milk all had been missed. I would hate to see this place ever fold. I don't think it will.

Oh my goodness--the nostalgia! I haven't been to Heid's in probably 15-20 years. Growing up, Heid's…read morewas such a summer staple, so now that I've moved back home, it only felt right to make my way here. Heid's has that old-school, cafeteria-style setup where you go down the line to get your food. It's simple, classic, and honestly gives me Happy Days vibes. The menu is straight comfort food--hot dogs, chicken tenders, Philly cheesesteaks, sausages with peppers and onions, and more. They also have deserts like brownies, cookies & chocolate cake. They do server beer and have lots of fountain drink options as well. I got a Gianelli sausage with cheese fries and chili. Ummm --it was so good. The fries could've used just a little more salt and pepper, but that sausage hit the spot. My mom got a sausage with cheese fries and macaroni salad and loved it. No complaints here! Next door is Sweet Treats, their ice cream stand, and it's the perfect way to end your meal. They've got soft serve, hard ice cream, milkshakes, smoothies, flurries--you name it. My mom got a raspberry-lime sherbet twist, and I went all in with cookie dough chocolate chip ice cream mixed with vanilla, topped with whipped cream and caramel syrup. So refreshing and delicious. If you are ever in the Syracuse/Liverpool area, I definitely recommend trying Heid's at least 3 times in your life. It's affordable, family-friendly, and full of nostalgia. They also have live bands on Wednesdays, car shows, outdoor seating, and community events for kids throughout the year. Definitely tastes exactly the way I remember. If you do decide to try out Heid's, leave me a comment and let me know how you liked it!
