Came in for lunch after a weekend in Walla Walla and didn't have the highest expectations, but I was very pleasantly surprised by staff and the food at El Buen Gusto. I ordered my usual cheese enchiladas and they were just right. The sauce was flavorful and the rice was perfect. Our server was very polite and personable and the restaurant was clean and cozy. I'm not sure when we'll be back that way again but I'd reccomend this place to anyone looking for good Mexican food in the area. read more

Hidden gem! My wife, mother in-law and I were passing through Prosser headed back to Tri-Cities and we were craving Mexican food. We saw this place on Yelp and decided to try it out and we were so glad we decided to eat at this restaurant. The food absolutely hit the spot, but what really made the night was the service. Our server was incredibly lovely--attentive, friendly, and genuinely made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. It's rare to find that kind of hospitality right before closing time. 4 stars for Prosser and a really tender and perfectly cooked carne Asada and that's a favorite dish of mine. Service was also good and the restaurant was clean. Chips and the warm bean dip and salsa was also pretty good, What's missing for me? Well, as in my photo it's the lack of a grilled jalapeño, grilled green onion, a small scoop of guacamole or pico that I missed. Seems a easy addition if ownership reads and takes my suggestion to heart. When I visit Prosser I'll keep this place in mind and would still recommend it if your looking for Mexican food in the area. read more

Probably the best margarita I've ever had and Adela our server told us everything is made to order and they like to buy fresh and local and avoid canned food as much as possible and it showed ! When I was working in prosser one of my co workers mentioned I should check this place out. And to be honest I'm Glad I did now I keep ordering the same dish here but I just enjoy it that much! The ladies that work here are also super sweet! And I enjoy that they serve you not only chips and salsa but also a side of refried beans! And the only place I know that did this was a little spot from my hometown so talk about nostalgia! So the one item I keep ordering is their El Buen Gusto Soup! So good! Food was served luke warm, no garnish except a dab of cheese on refried beans and the steak was diced very small in thin sauce thinl. We made reservations a few days in advance for our large party. The one server was inadequate as she was taking care of other customers also. I waited 20 minutes for some sour cream and 15 minutes for a carton to put the cold food in. It took 1 1/2 hours for us to order and get the bill. Considering the price everything just seemed minimal. Will not return. read more

This little gem is a great little family owned restaurant in Prosser. They have an inclusive menu with lots of tasty options. We shared a plate of fajitas, and ordered a michelada. The portions are generous, and plenty for two to share. With the meat, rice, beans and tortillas there was a lot of food. The service is fast and friendly and the owner even came out to greet us. Since it's a family owned business, they take a lot of pride in the food they serve and the service they provide. I also have had the pleasure of tasting their food at events. They cater food for weddings and big party events. The food at the wedding was consistent with the quality of the food served at the restaurant.
