Pupusas
Samantha L.

I came here on a Sunday morning. There was only one other party seated when I got here. I wanted to try a variety of pupusas so I ordered the queso, frijoles, and revulta. They were pretty large in size so I definitely needed a box! The pupusas were delicious and I dipped them in a side of the spicy salsa and crema. I think my favorite was the frijoles but I would order a variety again.

This was the best happy little accident. We came in right before they were closing but they welcome us and served us with smiles and were so happy to have us in their restaurant. Everything we got was delicious and large portions. The salsa was excellent. Paulina is the owner and she was an absolute gem of a human. She brought us extra food to try because she could tell we were enjoying our food and just wanted to feed us and make sure we were well taken care of. She sat and talked to us and told her about her life and how she came to be here, her kids and grandkids, and her love of cooking. She was the sweetest abualita and a new amiga for life. Any time I'm in the area I will be back to visit with her. Highly HIGHLY recommend.

Primero la atención wow y la amabilidad sin duda con ese gusto hogareño y la comida y los postres con el sabor a paladar definitivamente un lugar para estar con la familia.

Really good food... I had never had salvadorian food before. I got the beef stew with rice beans tortillas and a salad and it was very tasty!!!

Comfort food served with a smile. Very casual dining and large portions. Loved the lime. If only my baked chicken wasn't so dry... The sweet plantain is so tasty! And, the milk coffee is better than my homemade Starbucks brew. I think I'm changing to Peet. Were we transported to somewhere in South America?

Yum! Pupusas!! Haven't had a good pupusa since I was in Las Vegas like 6 or 7 years ago. These are delish and was excited to get to have hubby try one finally. We got the giant one. Pupusa loco with "everything" not even quite sure what everything was exactly lol just know that it was darn yummy. We also got a bistec encebollado which was delish as well. The refried beans that come with it were sooo good!

First foray into El Salvadorian food was a huge success. I've always enjoyed saying "pupusa" but it turns out eating one is even better! The $7 Pupusa Loca definitely lives up to its "giant" description and the rest of the description ("with all the good ingredients") is equally apt. It was packed with delicious meat and cheese and the hot sauce really took it to another level. The inside was surprisingly large and the service was very friendly. Also super convenient that they're open on Sundays. Can't wait to come back!

I've been craving a great pupusa since I've moved here from California 7 years ago and this place does not disappoint! Crispy on the outside yet soft, cheesy and just overall delicious on the inside. The slaw that goes with it is perfect along with the spicy sauce. When you walk in, you'll see the kitchen behind the counter where they are making their tortillas, pretty much everything by hand. If you're looking for some great authentic Salvadorian food please try this place out. All of the staff is so nice, you can tell they are passionate about their food and appreciate every smile and sound of laughter that they create when their food is surrounded by friends and family.

Great breakfast. I usually get the scramble egg with steak and serve with sweet bananas and beans and awesome homemade chicken tamales

Good. Worth the money. Pupusas are huge so one or two will fill you up and they were piping hot!

Service was not quick, was not acknowledged right away. For this type of restaurant, prices are a little too high.

Restaurant and Bakery Salvadorena - Food was amazing ! Number 6 and Baleadas

Located in a shopping center on WT Harris, gas station close by is a little sketchy at night but…read morenever had a problem when I go there. Inside you'll find a bunch of Salvadoran baked goods, snacks and even some soccer jerseys. There are 2 entrances to the location, one mainly for dining in and the other to pick up orders. I've tried their pupusas and they are amazing. I've tried a few places in Charlotte and this is the one that has kept my business. Their pupusas revueltas are made with Chicharon, cheese and beans, most places I've been to don't add beans but that adds something to it. They mostly speak Spanish but I think anyone can go and get what they want. A must try.
