So glad that I gave Pupusa 503 a try. We ordered off the hot bar and got a few pupusas to share. We got the Pollo and Queso (chicken and cheese) pupusa and the Loroco and Queso ( Loroco [a flower bud native to Centeal America] and cheese) pupusa. I feel like this is the first time I tried to pupusa and I know it was the first time my dad and nephew had ever tried pupusas. We thoroughly enjoyed them. They were ok plain but the red sauce and slaw that they gave us to go with them really enhanced the flavor. My dad ate most of the hot bar plate that. The plate came with rice, beans, a pupusa, plantains and a main dish. We got the beef. It was a good size portion. The ladies and the gentleman that assisted us inside were so helpful and happy that we came to try their authentic dishes. Will have to come back on a Tuesday and take advantage of the Tuesday special. Pupusa 503 850 Chancellor Park Dr Ste C Charlotte, NC 28213 (Review 26 in 2024 and 826 overall)

I got a bean/chicharron/chicken pupusa and a cheese/garlic pupusa - both were incredible. The texture was great with crispy fried cheese edges, and melty & stretchy mozzarella inside.

    Yuca frita, pupusas and toppings.

Pupusas and yuca grits were delicious. The melon agua fresca was also great! Highly recommend.

WOW. Like actually WOW. The absolute best pupusas in the surrounding Charlotte area. If you are around here, you have to check them out. The pupusas are so fresh, really cheesy, and they have a variety of flavors. The servers are very kind and genuine. Everything is made fresh there and is reasonably priced. Ample parking and right next to the local putt putt AND pickleball facility. Pro-tip: do one of those and then come here on Tuesdays for 3 dollar pupusas! Super casual and easy to get served.

Huge pupusa fan here in part bc I'm part Honduran. So very happy to have another pupuseria close to me. Tried was the super pupusa, the plántanos con crema, the fried fish, the yucca con chicharrón (not shown bc it was devoured the moment it hit the table!), and a kid's pollo asado. Listen, the food is on POINT. All the yummy flavors I expect from my Central American cousins! They will be seeing our faces more! The service was A+. Very friendly and attentive, kept checking on us and our drinks. It's clean and pretty open, bright, and roomy. Oh and they have a deal on their pupusas on Tuesdays!

I happened to stumble upon this place one day riding by going to another spot for lunch. So I made a mental note to make sure I looked them up to see what they serve so I could try them out. So so glad I did! It was delish! Cute quaint place with a few tables, and they were jammed packed with customers and after tasting my food I can see why. The man behind the counter was very patient and friendly when I told him was my first time there. He was great at explaining the menu, since it's not in English, and answered any and all of my questions. I got the mango drink and fried whole fish meal. It was amazing. Seasoned and fried to perfection. It came with a side salad (which was extremely fresh) and rice and beans. Definitely a filling meal, I couldn't eat it all in one sitting. I most certainly will be back to try other dishes.

Never had Salvadoran food before in my life, but had this place recommended to me by a friend whose family is from El Salvador. Had no idea what a pupusa even was, but now I'll never be able to get them out of my head. Oh and the yuca frita... unreal. I vote these should permanently replace French fries. Authentic ambiance, authentic service from the staff, authentic experience overall. Already planning on bringing family here when they come to town.

Mind blowing experience - I walked in and ordered what she is having. I had no idea what I was in for and copied the patron ahead if me. I think that was the best decision of my entire day. What I thought was chicken turned out to be hearts of palm flowers. It had an interesting texture and I have never eaten this vegetable before in my life. Discovering something new is a rare treat for me. The owner came out and asked us how our food was. Very friendly and again the entire plate was a culinary adventure. I really did like the rice and beans and these are a staple of a good restaurant. If you want things even hotter you can request special spicy sauce. I don't know how you will take this but they kindly let a person charge his phone in the resistant even though he is not a patron and possibly unhoused. I appreciated the simple kindness but if that makes you uncomfortable I am not your judge.

This place gets 5 stars in addition to being added to my lost of favorite restaurants in town. The memu offers true and delicious traditional items. My wife and tried the meat soup (sopa de res), the loroco y queso pupusa, and the nuegados (cassava pancake). Everthying was delicious and not too much sodium. This tasted like real traditional Latin food. Do not expect the fanciest ambience when you come here, but it's organized, clean and avery diverse with families with lots of children. The service was outstanding! This restaurant is located in a shopping plaza with its own free parking lot. Overall, 100% recommended.

Inside you'll find a bunch of Salvadoran baked goods, snacks and even some soccer jerseys. There are 2 entrances to the location, one mainly for dining in and the other to pick up orders. I've tried their pupusas and they are amazing. I've tried a few places in Charlotte and this is the one that has kept my business. Their pupusas revueltas are made with Chicharon, cheese and beans, most places I've been to don't add beans but that adds something to it. They mostly speak Spanish but I think anyone can go and get what they want. A must try.
