I get inflation and yadda yadda, but I looked at the menu picture on here for the pork pupusa ($7) and when I got there in person it was actually $10. Now, I get that the menu picture was 3 years ago, but yeesh. Again, the Salvadoran friend was blown away by the price. The pupusa itself was rather greasy, and had a very strong masa flavor. It was less a pocket of meat rather a flat pancake with meat throughout. Once I got towards the center, the flavor was a lot better. The curtido and the hot sauce made the pupusa much better. Over all, say it was pretty decent, but I would not get it again considering the price. If you like very large portions, you'll have no problem with these pupusas. It just wasn't for me. The order came with a side of Salvadoran-style pickled slaw made from cabbage and carrots. It was fairly spicy and still had good crunch. It goes really well with the sweetness of the corn. I've tried their pupusas and they are amazing. I've tried a few places in Charlotte and this is the one that has kept my business. Their pupusas revueltas are made with Chicharon, cheese and beans, most places I've been to don't add beans but that adds something to it.
