Couldn't resist taking this picture off their window. Taken 09/08/22

This is a quick order no frills place. For being In San Diego County not the best Mexican food. I had chile verde, it was average, not to spicy, oh but they forgot to give me my flour tortilla and this was a to go order. Crispy taco with beef was good too. Probably lots of better choices, but where we were driving to was perfect. Had to put the picture of sign in window

First time visiting, it's okay overall - but idk if I'll be running back for a 2nd visit. The customer service was nice, no complaints there. Order was taken down fast, and I didn't have to wait too long at all. I ordered the #4 combination plate (bean tostada, beef taco, and cheese enchilada) and a pollo asada burrito to go. Altogether ~$28 Forgot to take a picture before, but the taco and tostada has a lot of toppings. The flavor of the beans and rice were OK. The amount of meat in the beef taco, I thought only had a little bit and expected more meat. Took a few bites of the burrito and just not a fan. Again, seems like a little bit of meat and way more toppings/Pico de gallo/lettuce/guacamole than needed, and wrapped as a tiny burrito. It's OK. It's not bad. But it's not great. Came here to try something new, I'll probably give it another try some time.

was "in-line" at Urgent Care and, after a three-hour wait, we got hungry. slipped next door for a little something-something to tide us over. Wyatt had Chicken Enchiladas, and I had Chicken Rolled Tacos with guac and cheese. pretty tough to screw up either dish and, to their credit, El Bronco didn't. neither was great but both were certainly OK. it was late morning (they're open for breakfast) and except for two guys who ordered in front of us, the place was empty. it took ridiculously long for everything to arrive. apparently, they had to raise and butcher the chicken. El Bronco takes a very mañana attitude toward service. with a fast-food Mexican place on every corner, this is NOT a destination restaurant. while we waited at El Bronco, I entertained myself checking to see if OJ was hiding in the back seat.

My thoughts are reserved and one sided do to the fact I have been visiting since the mid-90s before the addition of the the current shopping center presented today; basically I am a fan of local businesses. With that said, I was fixated on the amount of rules and regulations posted on the wall around the register from the amount of salsas allowed to being charged soda if caught using a water cup. Food: my order of six rolled tacos with everything was on point. Costumer service was on point: friendly, helpful, and most important polite. Layout: clean Overall assessment worth visiting but if I can provide any positive criticism remove the rules and regulations plastered all over the restaurant; 1) the grammar needs correcting and 2) it's an eye sore...

Their food is decent. Chicken is overly salted in my opinion.

Very good mexican food. Average price (7-11 per combo plato). Fairly quick for a sitdown restaurant.

It's a true family-style operation--one owner personally takes your order while the other is in the kitchen cooking everything fresh, and you can taste that attention to detail in every bite. The food is outstanding--full of flavor, generous portions, and very reasonably priced. It's the kind of place where you know you're getting authentic, homemade quality, not something rushed or generic. On top of that, the service is incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the restaurant itself is clean and well-kept. It's rare to find a spot that checks all the boxes like this. If you're anywhere nearby and even thinking about Mexican food--do yourself a favor and come try Mi Asador. You'll be glad you did!

Since then we've been visiting other burrito places, but decided to give them another shot. We were pleasantly surprised to see things were "back to normal". Burritos were big again and the salsa bar was back. Chips were no longer free (I remember they used to be a long time ago), but no biggie. We were just picked up to-go. The burritos were good. Not great, necessarily, but good and the prices are some of the best around. They have a ton of options, and lots of drinks, including beer. We were just picking up, and it was a very hot day. The restaurant didn't have any air-conditioning so it was quite warm inside. Most people were eating outside. We'll be back again to try some other menu items given that their prices are generally pretty good.

Came in for an early dinner and to try this place out. Have heard many things via social media…read more For starters, we got complimentary chips & salsa. The salsa was good IMO, though the rest of the table thought it was too spicy. For drinks we chose a Mexican Candy ($15) and Hibiscus Margarita ($14). They were okay. I think not really worth the price (barely any buzz). I'll probably stick with a beer next time but that's okay. For food, we ordered the Chile Relleno & Cheese Enchilada ($20), Queso Birria Taco Plate ($18) and for me, the Fajita Mixta ($26). Everyone liked their food. For me, I've had better fajitas elsewhere (Mariscos Hualtulco is my fav) but these were still good (except no green bell pepper for some reason). I noticed the *new* menu price for the fajitas was $29 (Mixta), but on the bill it was still $26 (old menu price). So be aware, the new price is coming obviously. I want to try the Molcajete but $38 is a stretch! Atmosphere was okay. It was a Saturday and although it was early, I expected a more vibrant feel, but maybe that comes later in the night. There was plenty of seating. Parking was okay, but the lot was oddly packed however even though the restaurant was not. I would come back to try something else on the menu, but with so many great Mexican options in our area, they need that extra something to attract more patrons. A happy hour with $10 margs for starters would be nice.

This is by far one of my favorite places for Mexican food in SoCal. As a Cali Native now living in…read morethe great state of Texas, sometimes it's refreshing to step outside the land of Tex‑Mex and get the real deal again. Colima's hits that spot every single time. When you walk in, the person behind the counter greets you immediately -- and not the dry "hi, what can I get you?" type of greeting. You get a full "¡Buenos días, mija!" with that warm, almost‑grito energy that makes you feel like you just walked into your tío's spot instead of a restaurant. Super friendly, super natural, and very SoCal. I ordered the rolled tacos plate and wow... esa porción estaba gigante. I couldn't finish it. What I loved most was the meat; this is what meat is supposed to taste like. The beef was seasoned the way we grew up eating it: a little salty, a little savory, with that slow‑cooked tenderness that lets you know it didn't come from some pre‑bagged, mystery‑meat situation. You get hints of garlic, a little cumin, and that warm, almost toasty flavor that comes from meat that's actually been browned, not steamed. It tasted like someone's abuela was in the back saying, "No, no, déjalo dorar un poquito más. And the corn tortillas? Perfect. Thin enough to get that crisp roll, thick enough not to shatter. None of that flour‑tortilla‑trying‑to‑be‑crispy nonsense. These were crunchy, flavorful, and loaded. The toppings were just as good. The guacamole tasted fresh. You could taste the real avocado which was creamy, a little chunky, with lime that actually tasted like lime and not concentrate. The red salsa had a legit kick to it. It had hints of roasted chiles, was smoky and had a slightly bitter edge that tells you they actually roasted them instead of just tossing raw peppers into a blender. It wasn't tourist spicy; it was SoCal Mexican‑restaurant spicy, which is a whole different category. My partner ordered a breakfast burrito and honestly? That thing could've fed three people. It was massive, stuffed to the brim with cheese, egg, potatoes, and fresh bacon and exactly what a SoCal breakfast burrito should be: simple, hearty, and no shortcuts. Between the portions, the flavor, and the service that feels like home, this spot stays on my list every time I'm in Oceanside. If you're craving real Mexican food and not Tex‑Mex, pull up. You'll leave full and happy. #supportlocal
