Horrible Service. I ordered a chile relleno burrito and 3/4 of the burrito was bean and cheese and the other 1/4 of the burrito was the chile relleno with the stem on it! My co-workers and I go to this place often (at least a few times a week)and My company always purchases burritos from them for the employees. The food is okay and the price is reasonable. It's the closest place near my work. Recently I called in an order of French toast to go. Once I got back to work to eat my food, I realized the lady had forgotten the syrup. No big deal except I wouldn't be able to go back to the restaurant until after work. So I called the restaurant and explained what happened and the lady already knew that she had forgotten the syrup. She apologized and said to come back and pick it up. I asked if I could also get a fresh order of French toast since my order was ruined. She said no! My breakfast was ruined and they weren't willing to fix it knowing How often My co-workers and I order from there. It's the way they acted and the fact that they weren't willing to even make an exception, not even once. Poor customer service!! read more

We've been coming to this place for over 10 years and we used to love it. But ever since the new owner took over this place has changed a lot. The food is not as good, they take FOREVER and most of the time they get our order wrong. It's a shame because this was our favorite place once. read more

Omg! I am so ashamed being latino and eating this garbage. Fake caned mexican food just like every fast food mexican joint. Gross!!! The lady was nice at first but when my wife complained about a hair in her burrito her attitude changed and then she had the balls to ask her "are you sure its not yours?" What!!!!?????? I couldnt believe it. They charge $1 for refills too dumb!!!! While we were there ther was another guy complainibg about his food. Chips were stail too. Never ever foing there again. my five year old daughter can make better food than them. Shame! read more

I went here for a breakfast burrito, and the first thing I saw was a breakfast burrito special--$3.49. My go-to is eggs, cheese, potatoes, and no meat. They substituted beans for meat, no problem. This burrito was awesome tasty. GREAT potatoes! read more

Why eat here? The prices aren't that great. You have Mexican television blaring overhead. There are no refills allowed on drinks. You eat with plastic utensils. Using a credit card will cost you an extra dollar. Chips will also cost you an extra dollar and a sign on the wall tells you that "extra salsa" is 25¢. And believe me, you aren't paying for the great ambiance here, that's for sure! So, I don't know what else could explain them wanting to charge you for every little thing! Why not drive a block east to Cejas's Mexican Diner & Grill where you don't wait as long for your food, the prices are just as good, the interior doesn't look like "the wrong part of town", you get to eat with real silverware, chips and salsa are brought to your table for free, you get free drink refills, you aren't charged extra to use a credit card or for using too much salsa! I'd say El Bronco is not so Grand! read more

Great food and one of the better mexican spots in Oceanside. My church and a formerly employer used to both be very near this place. Kyle is right in that it has some of the best breakfast burritos around. When working nearby, my office would usually go here twice a week to pickup breakfast burritos for us. We went so often that all I had to do was collect the money and would know what to get each person without asking them. I would often eat lunch and dinner here as well. They have great food and fast service. Just to clarify for Kyle, that shopping center was completely re-designed about 6 years ago to allow for it to be made larger. It used to cover just the corner and El Bronco, or "Super Bronco" was on a portion of it that was torn down to make room for what is now a parking lot for McDonald's. So, "El Bronco" was moved to a re-built portion of the plaza. Just FYI. read more

You know, I gave this place several chances. I really really did want to like it but I just found it to be a little too ew for me. And yesterday was just the last straw. I really try had not to say anything bad about anyone or anywhere but it's time El Bronco picked up the pace. And by pace I don't mean Pace Picante sauce. Been here twice in the last 3 months and everything that my Fiancee and I have ordered is delish. Originally from LA, which I believe has the best Mexican food, El Bronco is the real deal. Aside from the standard fare,Asada and so forth we tend to order something different to be impartial if there is consistency and there absolutely is. Not everyone can make Menudo without having the lingering smell but here everything about it is perfect. Also, we didn't get the nice lady's name but she is awesome and knows how to multi task. I'm not posting any food shots because the colorful menu to order from is truly what it all looks like and in this day and age we should eat and have a conversation while enjoying delish Mexican food and not on our phones being distracted. In this half mile radius there are so many great looking places that are Mom and Pop type restaurants that we will patronize instead of going to the usual chains. read more

El Bronco is the place we go to for breakfast burritos, rolled tacos and other items that we could get at a few closer Mexican restaurants. However, the other places are sometimes hit or miss. Everything is great at El Bronco and their quality is consistent. I've been going there for at least 14-15 years.
