I am sorry but I paid $25 for 2 sandwiches and they wete tiny!! What are you thinking?! 12.95 for the tiny sandwich and a tiny bag of chips! Not even using artisan ingredients like fresh bread (its pepperidge farm! I feel so ripped off. Never again! Look at my pic from years ago compared to now. WHAT A RIP OFF- Im so angry

Ekonk Hill is at the top of the hill with beautiful views of the rolling fields. The farm is family owned and recently expanded when adjacent land became available. Fresh turkeys are available for Thanksgiving and should be preordered to be sure that you will get one. They also sell beef, chicken, lamb, pork, ice cream, yogurt and eggs. The meats and eggs are high quality food and the turkey pies are delicious. The animals seem very happy as they are raised with care. Highly recommended CT grown and local.

Delicious farm made ice cream, and an amazing place to stop for a fresh made turkey sandwich. Fresh produce, meats and dairy products. An amazing selection of gifts. And one of my favorite stops to pick up a special treat for my dog!!

I simply love riding through the back roads of rural America on a sunny day and stumbling upon these roadside gems. Ekonk's Hill Turkey Farm is a family owned and operated business on a gorgeous country road (rte. 49) in Moosup, CT. Sprawling farms and winding roads lead you to this unassuming country store. There is a small lot outside the main building which sits between the owner's residence and a chicken pen. There are turkeys, chickens and roosters greeting you as you arrive. They have a very good selection of sandwiches, muffins, ice cream, pies and just about everything that you would expect in a country store--EXCEPT, Everything is homemade. Being that is was a turkey farm,I had the Thanksgiving Sandwich-AWESOME! Worth going out of your way to find!

Excellent ice cream. Silky smooth and not to sweet. Perfect place to plan in a stop at when riding around in eastern ct.

Ice cream candy and…read more lots of ocean The Scoop Shack is a ice cream and old fashion candy store that features fantastic home made ice cream. I believe it's relatively new because I've never noticed it before on Block Island and I tend to notice ice cream places. Then again it is sort of tucked away in a corner and could be hard to see. The store is small, with a counter for the scream and various candies and other treats scattered around. A couple of tables inside and a courtyard overlooking the ocean on the outside. Saying that the view is great is actually an understatement. We didn't bother with the candy but the ice cream was absolutely incredible. Smooth and rich and no doubt containing a astronomical amount of calories and fat, just the way great ice cream should be. They don't have vast amount of different types but enough variety to satisfy anybody except those looking for something very unusual. There aren't many things better in life than sitting in a beautiful spot over looking the ocean and devouring great ice cream. Even though it was hoter than hell when we were on the island, a cool breeze was coming off the water and combined with the richness and algidity of the great ice cream the world was a perfect place. At least our little part of the world. Their are lots of ice cream places in the world but The Scoop Shack is one of those special places that I will always seek out when I'm on Block Island. The place to relax and just appreciate the moment and forget everything else. The ice cream here is exceptional but no matter how good the scream is, the views will always be even better.

I don't do ice cream and I abhor tourist traps, but for whatever reason, the scoop shack, while…read morebeing incredibly close to the dock, offers an amazing selection of locally made icecream at affordable...ish kiddie sizes. I tried their blueberry chocolate flavor and was surprised by chomping on hearty pieces of fresh berries and large chocolate chunks. The waffle cones are really pricey, however, and I can't state whether they're worth it or not, since I wasn't willing to shell out $8. Overall, this is a good spot if you (or your kids) are yearning for ice cream on a hot summer day and it won't hurt your wallet as long as you're all willing to share a kiddie sized ice cream =P

I don't have time for this, when you know what you want to order, then call me back! What a jerk I'm from Rhode Island and I am very particular about the seafood I enjoy eating I then called him right back, gave him the order, he said, this is $62, you got this? Really?
