The first quote was 17,000 then it dropped down to 15,000. I'm sure that it could've dropped even more because they added three new vents covers and also the 200 before and after heating test I guess is what it was. The strange thing about that is you don't get a choice if they do it. It's automatic so $400 is added to your bill that you didn't ask for. The gentleman was very nice, but took a long time to go over all their wonderful aspects of their company. Which personally I wasn't impressed by that. You can tell me the APS really backs you up, and supports the star energy rating. Well, looking at other reviews, I'm very happy I'm not going with them. Another company that is offering everything that they are and didn't try to upsell me on anything is going to get my business. Sorry, I cannot post that company's name here.

Jason is very friendly, knowledgeable, professional, and detailed. He walked us through everything he was going to do during the energy audit, always asked if we had any questions, and was very thorough in all of his explanations and findings. The service was $99 and it was worth it to get detailed information about our home and how we can improve our energy usage. I will be recommending his services to all of my friends and family that own a home.

    It's our second house and rather than waiting years before getting an energy audit this time we did…read morethe thing right and within the first year I contacted Jason who also did the audit in our first house. We had significant issues related to voids, lack of insulation and a very warm bedroom located above the garage. After he came and did the assessment, we came up with a plan to do what we thought were the fastest ROI. We changed all of our ducts to R-8, extended the plenums, increase the insulation level to R-30 and filled up all the voids and air leaks, added a return and put more efficient grills. At the end, our electric bill went down, the rooms were more comfortable and temperature equalized. Jason is really meticulous and really knows its stuff. I would recommend him for new or old constructions. Yes, you read that right, he can tell you if the builder did the right things for your AC or if he took shortcuts which may lead to issues to you as soon as your system is out of warranty. Also, for $99, it's well worth the price!

    UPDATE Mr. Russo,…read morethe owner of REEis, called me several times; he wanted to talk to me. I agreed to speak with Mr. Russo on Saturday February 28, 2026. He called and asked me what he could do to find a solution that would make me happy. We discussed both units. We paid for new units, but the grilles are damaged and look pretty bad. He said he'd send his best technician, Dennis, to examine the units. We also discussed the electrical panel, which I paid $6,800 for (it didn't need replacing). He agreed to reimburse me $4,800, and he said Dennis was going to bring the check. Dennis came and inspected the units.  I asked him about the check he was supposed to give me.  He said he didn't know anything about it. I sent an email Monday march 9th  to Mr. Russo why he hadn't given me the promised check and how he planned to resolve my issues.   I am still waiting for his response. It's terrible that after agreeing to something there has been no follow-up.  His word is worthless.  This reflects very poorly on the company.   Don't hire this company.  If the owner doesn't keep his promises, what can you expect? I was going to update my review to a positive one if they had honored their word; but he didn't, even after repeatedly asking me what he could do to find a satisfactory solution. Today is Monday March 23th, and I still haven't heard from Mr. Russo.

    I am in the process of getting the old insulation removed and having TAP insulation blown into my…read moreattic. I have had several different companies come out, look at everything, and give me suggestions and bids on different aspects of the jobs I need done. One suggestion that kept coming up was to have my ductwork sealed, as my house was built in 1961, my Air Conditioner has a manufacture date of August 1998, and my ductwork is most likely at least that old. The house had a non-functional Evaporative Cooler on the roof when I bought it in 2002, which I discarded and capped off the attachment duct. I called Green ID and left a voicemail that I was interested in getting my ducts sealed. David Byrnes sent me a text message the next morning that he got my voicemail & asked me to give him a call. After speaking with David, I had set up an appointment for him to come on Monday, May 19th, to look at my system, as I often work from home on Mondays. The next day, I found out that I had to go into my office that Monday, so I sent David a text that we would have to reschedule, which he had no problem with. The following Friday, May 23rd, I had decided to work from home, because another Tech was coming to do some work for me. I sent David a text around 10:00 am letting him know I was home and asking if he might be able to come take a look. He was very accommodating, said he could stop by, and would send me a text with an ETA when he knew. David arrived around 11:00 to look at the air handler in my house, the AC unit in the back yard, and the ducts in my attic. My house has a very shallow-pitched roof, making the attic space very tight. The access is in my three-sided carport on the opposite end of the house from where the Evaporative Cooler had been hooked into the ductwork, and is a combination of sheet metal and flex duct. David climbed all the way to where that ductwork had hooked to the Evaporative Cooler to check the sheet metal ductwork for possible rust. That is Dedication to doing Good Work, because it was already really hot up there! David assured me that no evidence of rust was in the sheet metal, and my ductwork was a good candidate for sealing. He collected the fee for the estimate and said he would contact me about scheduling when he got back to the office. He later texted me that they had a cancellation for the next day, and could be at my house between 06:30 & 07:30 to perform the Aeroseal. I told him that I had another tech coming that day at around 09:30 to 10:00, and since I had contracted with him first, I wanted to be sure his people would be done by then, so as not to be in his way. He assured me they would be done by then. The next morning, right at 06:30, two of his techs showed up to do the Aerosealing job. They were both very friendly, cordial, and understanding. They went about their work, setting everything up and getting going. While they were there, we had some nice conversations about various things; an old car I have in my carport, what kind of work I do, etc. I also asked them about the Aeroseal process, and the tech that was monitoring the computer showed me what he was looking at, and explained the process very patiently and thoroughly. Both of them were very nice guys and a pleasure to speak with! As the techs were wrapping things up, they told me that David would send me a full report on the Aeroseal job and an invoice the next week, as it was a Saturday. Yesterday, I received an email from David with a report on the Aeroseal results and an invoice for the balance owed. The tests showed that before the Aeroseal process, my duct system had 212.6 Cubic Feet per Minute (CFM) of leakage equivalent to a 40.2 inch square hole in my house or 18% of the system's capacity of 1200.00 CFM. After the Aeroseal was completed, it showed the ducts had only 19.7 CFM of leakage equivalent to a 3.7-inch square hole, or 1.6% of the system capacity. Pretty Impressive! I am very happy with David, his Technicians, the job Green ID did, and the cost came in between 28% and 22% less than the other bids I received to have my ducts sealed! I highly recommend David Byrnes and the crew at Green ID!

The first time was in 2021 when I had a different AC…read morecompany leave me high and dry when installing a new Carrier AC unit and Bryant blower/furnace. One of the GreenID techs showed up first thing, inspected the outside AC unit, then went up in the attic and fixed everything the other installer should have done. I found the price to be very reasonable. Should've gone with GreenID from the start. Lesson learned. The second time I called GreenID, my capacitor went out in 2023 in the middle of the summer. Frustrated that it was a fairly new unit, David calmed me down and said capacitor failures are hard to predict, no matter the age of the unit. Sensing my panic, he came over that night after working a full day with a flashlight on his head and tools in hand, saving me from having to go to a hotel. This service is what separates David and his team from the others. David is patient, professional, and a complete gentleman. Thank you for going above and beyond by putting my family first!
