I passed this on the way to my assignment location and began researching this spot. Some google…read morereviews mentioned they are F1 fans and Ferrari people. So I knew I had to check them out. I was able to make my way here on my last day in San Antonio in late March thanks to my flight being delayed and my oh my, I am quite impressed! The older gentleman taking my order at the counter gave me a big smile when I mentioned I heard you have this thing called the serious sandwich here. He told me that they do and then stated "You won't regret ordering it, seriously." Chuckling, I decided on a half order of that along with a side of potato salad and their side of beans. After taking my first bite, I realized the gentleman was right. This is a dope sandwich! Excellent cured meats in the salamar and pair of hams along with the provolone and melted cheddar with the veggies, spices, italian dressing, and mustard. The bread they use holds up well and has a slight crunch to it. If you prefer your bread to have softness to it, you may have to ask if they can substitute a different bread instead of the italian flat bread they use. But I absolutely love this sandwich the way it is! As for the sides, the potato salad has a slight mustard taste and right consistency with a dash of paprika on top; just the way I like it. The beans are charro beans (I think) that are served steaming hot with some pork trimmings mixed in; I may have dipped my sandwich in it a couple times for flavor explosion. What can I say, I'm adventurous! There's some ferrari memorabilia and posters on the right side where some of the high top seating is. As a Ferrari F1 fan, I appreciate them displaying this here along with the track map of the COTA circuit in Austin. The seating area is spread out nicely with plenty of seats/tables and a drink station with some random signs up. All of interest to consumers like us. Definitely recommend coming here for either the serious sandwich or other delicious ones like their meatball sandwich or manhattan. I can't wait to come back and try the other ones but I may just stick with the serious sandwich cause I loved it. SERIOUSLY!

Apparently the kitchen was short staffed so instead of ordering a breakfast item we ordered a couple of paninis. The food took some time to come out but again, they were short staffed and it's Sunday brunch , there's gonna be a wait and that's fine! When we did get our food we both really enjoyed our paninis! The Green Belt Melt was delicious and not over stuffed, the bread was in my opinion the best part though. Really tasty and crunchy! The inside of the place was also super warm but the building itself is an old house, like a very old house, so again what can you expect? Overall we'd definitely come back but hopefully get a table downstairs and go earlier in the day when it isn't as hot.

What an amazing meal!…read more My fiancé and I swung by for lunch on our way to the Witte and we're so glad that we did. The interior of this place was so unique, the staff were welcoming, and the food was absolutely delicious. Naturally we had to sit in the upstairs dining area just for the novelty of it, and while we didn't have to wait too long for our meal, we had fun playing the trivia card game that was on each table. I ordered the Parmo Pollo Panini with Tomato Basil Soup. The chicken in the Panini was a little dry, but coupled with the Tomato Basil Soup I could hardly tell. While they were delicious together, both were just as tasty on their own. The Panini was a good hearty sandwich, and the Tomato Basil Soup was packed full with delicious spices. I ended up taking up half of both the Soup and Panini to go as the portions were so large. I'm glad we went at the start of lunch rush as it was packed by the time we left. I'd highly recommend W D if you're after a satisfying meal!

This cannot be beat. Get the American cheddar (and extra if you love cheese). Get extra red sauce (jalapeno salsa or something). I like my cheesesteak with mushrooms and jalapeños. This is definitely big enough to share unless you have a beast for a husband. Get 2 and put 1/2 in fridge for tomorrow. It gets a tad soggy, but it's almost even better the next day. My girlfriend actually showed me this spot and I like to stop in every chance that I get even…read morethough it's not very close to home. It's definitely the deli bahn mi that keeps me coming back regularly as well as the staff--they really are artists of their craft. If you know exactly what you want they'll give you that and if you're undecided or new, they have great recommendations that really do provide a well balanced bite. Every time for me, even when I'm not grabbing a deli bahn mi or ordering for others, has been a perfect sandwich. They have online ordering, phone in ordering, and you can also order there in person. The line gets long during the rush so if you're limited on time, I advise ordering ahead. Thundercloud from what I understand is originally an Austin chain. They serve soup peddler soups (also an Austin staple) and even offer cookies and smoothies which I also enjoy. About a week ago I got my girlfriend a cookie from Paris baguette and she later commented that she STILL preferred thunder clouds chocolate chip cookie over the bakeries (says a lot for a sandwich shop cookie to trump a bakery tbh). You can choose from white or wheat bread & I really enjoy how they offer two sizes of a sandwich along with plenty of options for meat and veggies. It keeps the possibilities endless. Like I mentioned earlier my go to is a large deli bahn mi on white bread with sriracha mayo add salami and salt and pepper. (I've found that the manager's special, the deli bahn mi is not available at all locations, so I'm thankful to always find it at this one). My girlfriend usually grabs the Austin club on white bread with honey mustard and sprouts and both keep us coming back ultra satisfied and ready for another round. I've also enjoyed their frito pie, Big Paul, and their meatball sub. The drink and chip selection is also fire, I especially enjoy their canned organic lemonade. Outside of the food and their service I love how well kept this place is. Always clean, always inviting, and always a great option to have in rotation. Highly recommend stopping in to visit
