Holy cow! To echo others, the service is beyond slow for a fast food restaurant, and the front register employee is down right rude and makes you feel like you are burdening her with her own job of preparing your drinks and giving you your order. When I inquired about my order (food was done, simply waiting on a drinks from Hazel) the older, I assume manager, repeatedly told me that they were doing their best despite me waiting for an hour for my entire order to be completed. I allowed for more than enough time between grabbing food and drinks before my scheduled appointment (45 mins in between order and appointment time) and was over 10 mins late because of this sh*tshow at Einstein's. The girl at the front, Hazel, was awful! Horrible attitude, horrible work ethic, absolutely no kindness or personal skills. It was honestly the worst experience I've had anywhere in this town, and that is saying A LOT. The older manager then proceeds to tell me, "don't come back" you bet lady, not worth my time to deal with these incompetent and rude workers. I'll go to black hills bagel from now on. HORRIBLE. They are constantly short handed so their wait times are beyond ridiculous. The front of house employee, Hazel, has no personality at all, doesn't greet you, doesn't tell you when your order is done, literally seems like she would rather be anywhere in the world than there. It took 40 mins for 2 drinks, 1 bagel, and 1 sandwich. the kitchen had the food portion done in a fairly timely manner considering how busy they were and how few employees were there but Hazel was apparently responsible for my drinks which took almost 20 mins themselves. I was really hopeful when they reopened but clearly nothing has changed. Save your time, money, and sanity and go somewhere else. read more

Rude lazy workers. sandwiches messy and falling apart as soon as you open them and stacked awful. no effort. drive thru was very rude and ask us to wait 10 mins with no explanation, just a sassy "it's gonna be like 10 mins before I can take your order...." just as bad as it was before it closed for awhile. black hills bagel across the street is a much better and local choice. They care who they hire and the food is made with effort and care, the customers are treated like they want you there. read more

I find it hard to believe this place has two stars. Obviously the reviews are not accurate. From the time we walked in at 6:05 a.m. we were greeted by a young man that said we will be right with you. I love love the Mt Rushmore location!! I haven't been in the other location. The only reason I gave it four stars is because sometimes there are a lot of crumbs on the floor and on some of the tables and that's nasty, especially when you want to sit to eat and want to relax by seeing cleanliness around you. To be fair, I understand that sometimes they are short handed and slammed at the same time, that's why I only took one star away, because cleanliness is paramount in the restaurant business!! Other than that employees are always courteous and prompt to take care of the customers with a very nice attitude. The place has a nice setting, it's inviting to sit and relax while enjoying whatever you chose to purchase. They have outdoor tables if the weather allows and you would prefer to sit outside. read more

Amazing just amazing. They gave us everything we wanted in a quick time. Bagels didn't have as much cream cheese as we expected, but they were still good. The great coffee was amazing. They understood everything we said they have a really good menu from everything to choose from the prices were just amazing, I really think everybody should come if you guys thought this was a bad place. This location also has an Einstein Bagel and there is some confusion on reviews as to where it's located. The other location is actually at the School of Mines. I have sent updates and hope that Yelp can figure it out. Most of the time they get my order right. Sometimes it's wrong. They have a limited choice of bagels so if you're looking for something a little crazy this is not the place. I have tried the hot chocolate and the tea both were acceptable. They have a problem making hot chocolate to kids temp. Mostly pleasant workers...so that is a plus. Having a drive-up is an advantage over the other local bagel shops because they have small parking lots and over the years I have just not been impressed with those places. read more

Love love love Caribou Coffee! Unfortunately for me, they only exist in the states that border lake Superior and North/South Dakota. Their coffee is better than Starbucks and if they were down here in Louisville they would put all the local coffee shops out of business. And yes, they are also better than the west coast's Dutch Bros Coffee. I wish they would move down here to Kentucky. read more

This place kinda disappointed me. We thought all was good getting bagels and coffee but the coffee was heavy and didn't really seem right. I also found egg shells in my egg and cheese bagel. The cream cheese bagels were alright but nothing special and over priced. Also to add to it all the incline on the way in was super steep and hard to avoid scraping the bottom of your car on. I wouldn't overly recommend this place but if you need a quick bagel it wouldn't be terrible. There's a local bagel place across the street I would try before going here again. read more

This is about The Einstein Bros Bagel side of the business. A couple weeks ago I went in this store to buy a dozen bagels. I've never gotten a bad bagel here. When I inquired about cranberry bagels, I was told they will no longer carry that flavor. A few minutes ago I called this store to pre-order a dozen poppy seed bagels. Now they no longer carry Poppy seed bagels. Those two flavors are my absolute favorites. It was ok if I wasn't early enough to fill my dozen with just those two kinds. I would choose some other flavors or even plain to complete my order. That is your store's decision. Look across the street and you can see me getting bagels at Black Hills Bagels. I used to LOVE this place until yesterday. Yesterday, I was informed by their drive through attendant that they have discontinued the 6 cheese bagel. Their 6 cheese bagel was their best bagel and the ONLY reason I go there. And then she had the nerve to suggest that "their asiago bagel is basically the same thing". NO, IT'S NOT! Good grief. They are NOT EVEN CLOSE to the same thing. Until they have the 6 cheese bagel again, I have no reason to ever go there. :( read more

This was my first and only visit to this location because black hills bagels (my tried and true breakfast spot) was closed for the holiday.The staff had a busy morning it was clearly annoyed by every customer that came in the door. I ordered a coffee, which was great and hot. I also ordered a bagel with cream cheese and they missed my order and so I waited approximately 20 minutes before it was ready. I stopped here and ordered two drinks. I ran into the bathroom and accidentally left my purse in there. When we realized it was 3 minutes past their close so we hurried back to get it and I knocked on the door. I saw two staff look out at me and walk away. I tried to call and then went to the drive through again someone walked past the window so I yelled I had just left my purse in the bathroom. The gal went and got it and came to the window. I said thank you because we were from out of town and she told me she shouldn't have even opened the window, next time don't knock. I asked her how else I would get their attention and she said she didn't care they were closed. She then proceeded to close the window as I was telling her it was really a life saver and as I said hey and moved my hand quick so it didn't get smashed she called me a bitch. My hospital orders from this establishment quite often, we never request anything out of the ordinary, however the last few times we have ordered we have had sandwiches missing and our order not complete. We also never ask for our 6-7 sandwich order to be labeled, but we have found it to be unsanitary to be touching/opening up every sandwich to identify who's is who. So in placing our big order again today we kindly called and asked a worker at this establishment to please label our sandwiches so we can tell what sandwich goes to who without having to open them all. I was rudely told it would not happen as they are too busy. I explained some people have food allergies and it would be very nice to label them which would maybe take an extra 2 minutes to do. I was again told it would not happen due to business. That is terrible customer service. We called back to speak with a manager and were told they were too busy to get us in touch with a manager, again what kind of service is that. Well, you will lose business this way and will no longer receive business from our hospital. Terrible customer service even from a manager. Visited Rapid City from out of state. I've enjoyed both Caribou Coffee and Einstein Bros. Bagels plenty in the past without issues. However, at this location they messed up my order on two separate occasions. On both days I ordered a breakfast sandwich with no cheese. The orders were taken correctly because they were repeated back correctly and the ticket was right. However, they were not made as ordered. I let the first time slide because they were busy but the second error just tells me there's a lack of attention when completing the orders. Good, quick breakfast spot but order accuracy needs some work. read more

I've had their coffee in North Dakota and Minnesota which were much better. I waited a long time. Then when they finally made my coffee a lady came to the counter complaining she got the wrong bagels. So the lady behind the counter started to ask about what was on the bagel to the people behind her. Found it she was given a totally wrong bagel. When she was done I asked if that was my coffee cause all the whipped cream would sink to the bottom by the time she called my drink. She said all right and called some other orders while my coffee sat on the counter. By the time she gave me the coffee it looked blah and not worth 5 bucks. I haven't been back. read more
