Went here with a large group (11) during our winter weekend adventure in LaCrosse. Our hike ended…read moreearly so we popped in here around 10:30 on a Sunday morning and were surprised we could get a table right away (was crowded but there were a couple of tables for large groups). Cate G was an excellent server and totally not ruffled by our large group. It was no problem when we asked for separate checks - she just asked that we not play musical chairs! We were chilled from our hike so the tumeric antioxidant tea with honey (extra charge) and lemon hit the spot. We had only planned on staying for a warm beverage before heading out to lunch elsewhere but the food menu enticed us so we decided to stay. The menu offered food I love as a vegetarian! I had the Ancient Buddha Bowl with farro (quinoa is an alternative). Tumeric toasted cauliflower, roasted sweet potatoes, beets, sumac roasted chickpeas, crisped kale/brussel sprouts mix with a lemon tahini dressing. So much goodness in a bowl!! There were so many other choices but if I were to eat here again, I would try the housemade vegan burger or one of their salads. It was a bit noisy with so many people but not so that our group was not able to enjoy conversation. Family friendly with a kids corner stocked with toys.

Everything was "ok." Service was really good but music was an odd choice for 8:00 am. The coffee…read morewas ok - had better, had much worse. Food was about the same - no complaints just nothing special.

I ordered the ribeye since it came with a soup or salad ANNNNDDD potatoes or veggies. I opted for the French onion soup and some veggies. Holy moly, the cheese on that soup is no joke! It was a delicious soup but it did lack in onions (maybe because it was a small bowl that none got scooped up into it?). I ordered my ribeye medium rare and it came a perfect medium rare. The ribeye itself was of the thinner variety so don't expect a thick steakhouse ribeye. It was still really good though especially because it was so much food for under $30! The turtle cheesecake was TO DIE FOR! Ughhhh I'm a sucker for some caramel and chocolate in a cheesecake. I wish I lived here because I would be a regular for sure.

Such a great breakfast option in town, there is a cute bar in the front of the restaurant and the…read moreback half is traditional seating. The breakfast menu was small but had everything you would need! We had great service on a busy Sunday, would definitely come back!

Went for dinner on a reservation. Which when we got there noticed that it was mostly empty. So…read morereservations were really not needed. The one waitress that was working mentioned that they only had 3 left of the special for that night at 5:30pm. Really didn't understand why so little when very few customers. Husband ordered walleye and I ordered the panko Parmesan cod. With an app of cheese curds. The cheese curds were very oily so not off to good start. My cod was very dried out and seeing that there was melted butter on my plate is the only thing that helped to choke down the few bites I had. My baked potato was very dry as well and nothing, not even the butter and sour cream could help it. I didn't even try the vegetables as they didn't look appetizing. My husband said his walleye wasn't very good either. The appearance of the restaurant was ok, but when we first got there husband had to us bathroom and said the toilet seat had crap smeared on the set and on the floor. He pulled the waitress aside and let her know of the condition and came to the table I was sat at. When we were finished eating 45-1:00 later, he went to blow his nose and nope the bathroom was still a mess. Would I recommend this restaurant to anyone? No, it was all around a bad experience and we are folks that like to give non chain restaurants a chance.
