The place he chose was Como En Casa, which means "Like at Home." So, off I went! Since I arrived first, I decided to secure a table/booth for the two of us. When I walked in, I was promptly greeted by Ms. Elizabeth, the hostess, who was warm, welcoming, and had the sweetest smile. She showed me to a booth in Mr. Daniel's section. The restaurant was very elegant, clean, and well organized. The staff was extremely busy, but what I noticed was that they seemed to genuinely be enjoying themselves while taking care of their customers. That always makes for a pleasant atmosphere. Mr. Daniel was our server, and he was polite, helpful, and efficient. While I waited for my brother to arrive, he brought me coffee, a bottle of water, and our menus. He gave us plenty of time to look everything over without rushing us. When it was time to order, I went with the Migas breakfast for $16.00, which came with scrambled eggs, tortilla chips, jalapeños, cheese, onions, tomatoes, homestyle potatoes, refried beans, a choice of corn or flour tortillas, and I added a side of turkey bacon. Now, those migas brought back some childhood memories! They were well seasoned, the cheese was melted to perfection, and the jalapeños weren't overwhelming. The refried pinto beans were very tasty, although they were served in a rather small ramekin, so a few more beans would've been appreciated. The chilaquiles consisted of crispy corn tortillas tossed in your choice of fresh green or red salsa, topped with pico de gallo, queso fresco, sour cream, and red onion. There was a little order mix-up with my brother's breakfast. It appeared to be a miscommunication between him and the server, so I wouldn't put that entirely on the restaurant. Thankfully, he still enjoyed his meal and said everything was tasty and well seasoned. When it came time to pay, however, there was another little hiccup. My brother was double-charged. He decided he didn't feel like arguing about it and simply paid and moved on. That's definitely something the restaurant may want to keep an eye on.
