Upgrading my review below because they brought back free refills on coffee and moved the coffee back out to the self-serve area again instead of making us go through the hassle of trying to get someone to give us coffee and refills. _______________ Unfortunately, they just changed to "Caribou Coffee", upped the price because it must be gold-infused or something, moved the coffee urns behind the counter and most importantly they now charge $1.50 for refills. Free refills on coffee is mandatory for a breakfast place!!! Summit County Einstein's is not known for its efficiency, in fact they are horribly inefficient, notoriously short of staff and have been ever since they opened - but we have put up with it because obtaining and retaining employees in Summit is difficult for everyone - but adding the task of dispensing coffee is only going to make matters worse. It was a convenient place for a morning bagel and some coffee in the past but will be going to Einstein's a lot less. At the prices they now charge one might as well go to a sit-down breakfast that brings free and constant refills. read more

I used to frequent Einstein bagels back in college (over 20 years ago) and it was quite nostalgic being back in one. It's just as good as I remembered but with a much bigger menu. I've been to plenty of Einstein's Bro Bagels before and this is by the worst one. Everyone who works there are rude and incompetent. The two men working the registers were rude to other patrons in the restaurant. The people making the food clearly aren't paying any attention to what they are making. I ordered a pizza bagel and got a bagel with tons of sauce and small amount of cheese that wasn't melted. Oh and the bagel was two bottoms. They need to train new employees on off hours, not when actual people will be there. Will not be coming back to this location. read more

Best place to stop at before hitting the resort. If you get an early enough start and avoid the crazy traffic coming up from Denver, this is an awesome place to go. Plenty coffee, tons of breakfast choices (doesn't have to be a bagel) and other non-caffeinated drinks. Quick workers, they put your food together at about the same time you finish mixing your coffee. Small eating area, I recommend taking the food to go. Parking is a bit limited. read more

Very disappointed. Ordered a dark chocolate extra chocolate drink and when tasted it, it tasted like warmed milk. The lady said I need to stir it up. When stirred it still tasted like warmed milk. Worst Einstein's experience ever. I usually enjoy this chain! I was so excited when they opened up this location. We stopped by around 1:30 in the afternoon to grab some lunch, and more importantly, coffee. There were about 15 people eating inside the restaurant, the "open" sign was up, and the hours posted on the door indicated they were open...however the doors were locked. Confused, I called their number to ask if they were open or not, maybe I was trying to open the wrong door? A nervous sounding young man answered and told me they were open, but ran out of bagels, and then hung up. I thought that was really strange, so I called back, we really just wanted coffee and I didn't have a chance to tell him that before he disconnected, maybe they were only open for coffee customers? A different man answered, and he was so aggressive and rude that I asked speak to a manager, he then informed me that he was the shift manager. I asked him if they were closed, or just out of bagels? He snapped at me "We ran out of product (product. not food, not bagels, not coffee, just "product"...uhh ok), so I made the choice to close the store, you got a problem with that?!". Over the course of our 30 second conversation, he snapped "you got a problem with that?!" at me three times, before he hung up on me mid-sentence. Customer service is not a priority at this store. It took every ounce of patience I had to remain calm and polite despite his absolutely inappropriate behavior. I can totally understand why people have been saying the staff at this location seem to be in a bad mood, working with that man must be a challenge, I feel for them! I am a local, born and raised, and I know that this store will not last if this kind of service continues. We laughed it off, because really, it was so ridiculous, and went down the road to Blue Moon Bakery. The bagels are great and the varieties are awesome. If you just want a tasty carb-y bagel and cream cheese then you're golden The vegetables for sandwiches are hardly ever fresh (unless it's Saturday) and they are stored at temperatures too low. My cucumbers and tomatoes are always soggy and flavorless from being frozen if I get something mid week. Also, they always seem to forget to give sandwiches a pickle! I don't want to have to disturb the folks on the line while they make other sandwiches to ask for one so I usually sadly go without :/. The potato salad side here is the bomb. Been here probably 5 times and learned my lesson to not shop here unless it's a Saturday and their veggies are likely the freshest. (I like the hummus veg out sandwich, and the herbivore topper) The ladies who work here are decently friendly, but it wouldn't kill them to make some eye contact or crack a smile . read more

They 1) made me the wrong order and then 2) when I asked them to fix it they proceeded to talk with attitude about my while I was literally standing right there. I know the customer isn't always right, and we may have ordered the wrong thing, but there is no need to complain about a customer right in front of them. Normally I wouldn't review a place so common as einsteins but I felt it was necessary to talk about our experience here. The food is great (I got a nova lox bagel and my fiancé got 2 bagels toasted with cream cheese). We are always a fan of the quick service of any einsteins we go too. Now the negatives and why I felt it's necessary to add a review. The women running the show was beyond rude to the other people working and she couldn't for the life of her act like she wanted to be there. She yelled at the staff to restock the bagels but then got mad when they didn't take a break. But there bottom line of this rant is that you shouldn't reprimand your staff in front of your customers and than take your anger out on customers by not smiling. So not appropriate. She just had a terrible attitude. If she wasn't part of my experience here, I would have given this place 5 stars. But her bad attitude just pissed me off and drove me to write this review. The worst customer service! As soon as I placed the order the female with a greasy lopsided bun became furious. I ordered a specialty bagel and she had to work. She was slamming the poor bagels on the counter tops, slamming doors, stomping her feet and then throws my bag at me with anger with a here! i felt bad for the guys around her, they looked scared. This particular location is often slow but they always have great bagels for a chain and the staff has been nothing but wonderful and friendly. I am a huge fan of a great poppy seed or Sesame bagel with cream cheese but the menu is quite extensive now and continues to develop. The location is super convenient located right next to the highway and Dillon. An easy place to stop on the way to the ski hill if you want to catch those Fresh Tracks first thing in the morning. Bagels have to be one of the most convenient and portable Foods for getting a dense calorie back first thing in the morning to skip lunch. I think I will always be a fan of Einstein Bagels after having some great experiences in the past especially with take out. Last but not least give their breakfast sandwiches a try for something different. read more

I love Einstein Bagels! I will say this location is notoriously the slowest one!! The staff is nice, but has difficulty multitasking in-house orders vs catered meals. My most recent trip there was maybe 10 people waiting on their orders and they proceeded to complete 50 preordered box lunches prior to completing any orders for the people in front of them.... resulting in a 30 minute wait for 1 bagel/cream cheese. The last time I was there I arrived at 5:55a to order my bagels and no one showed up until 6:40a (when open is at 6a)....I really hope they can make some adjustments because (as Summit county local) I want to like this place , potentially even become a "regular", but I am consistently disappointed. Great to have a bagel shop on this side of Summit County. Pretty standard chain fare, but service is reasonably fast and the place is kept nice and clean. I like Einstein's option to make bagels "thintastic", pair the bagel with a reduced fat schmear and a black coffee and you have a reasonably healthy quick serve breakfast. read more

Some of the worst service I think I've ever had. The girl who took our order was incredibly rude. We ordered our bagels and got an attitude when ordering coffee last (as if we ordered in the wrong order) and the waitress was actually so rude that when we asked if the spinach was cooked into the bagel or just on it she actually said "yeah, yeah, it's inside you're fine". She may have been annoyed because she felt like she was lacking help from other employees but I still can't fathom being as rude as she was to any human, ever. Then I watched her throw her hand in the air at preceding customers and tell them that they were now taking orders at a different register without turning around to even look at them. Our order came out next, missing cream cheese and a side for one of our sandwiches and on our receipt we were charged for an extra sandwich. When asking for the cream cheese and missing side, I was told I'd need to pay for it...hadn't I already? If the line spilling out of this joint says anything, it says that this is one of the best (and most convenient) places to grab a bite before heading up the mtn for a day on the slops. It's still not really bagels, but it's tasty round bread with breakfast sandwich materials inside... and it keeps me going until it's time to break for lunch. Coffee is pretty good. Parking lot sucks (too small!) so you might end up ordering to go and eating in your car. read more
