Iced vanilla latte and iced honey latte
    Lizette T.

We stopped by this walk up coffee shop on the way to garland and we were not disappointed! The barista was friendly and helpful and the coffee was great, we purchased the vanilla and honey iced lattes. They have another location closer to the UTD campus if you're looking for a cafe with seating , turns out this location is where they roast their coffee but you can also purchase coffee to go as well. Definitely recommend!

Highly recommend by a coworker who use to have his own coffee shop. He considers himself a coffee snob and highly recommended Eilands. And boy that quality was very noticeable. Feels like I've been settling my whole life until now. Joe Michael served me up an iced mocha and walked me through their process of brewing and roasting. You can tell he cared about the craft. They weren't roasting in the afternoon when I was there. But the place smelled amazing. Chill simple vibe. Highly recommend myself.

We were visiting from out of town and accidentally selected this Eiland location instead of the one on Custer. Same fantastic coffee, same fantastic service, but a lot smaller since it seems to be attached to the roasting/packaging facility. :) They also don't have food options at this location, but it's a cute spot to get your cup of Joe if you're in the area.

DRINKS Mocha - They use chocolate bars for the mocha taste. It's pretty sweet at base, but I told him to do less sweet so he adjusted the milk ratio for me. The drink is quite rich and thick but yum! VIBE The place is very much so grab and go so no seating (except for a very small bench). They have a roaster place where they make and process the beans to ship out. The bathroom is really clean. Very cute small place. SERVICE Service is amazing. The people are really nice and good at giving suggestions based off of what people prefer to drink. The guy was also kind enough to show us the coffee bean roaster area and kind of tell us the process of how they make and process the bean! Overall very pleased! Also quick to get the drinks :)

I ordered a fresh-quality coffee, a Macadamia Nut Ice latte with vanilla, and it made my day. The smell when you walk in is fantastic. If you get a chance to visit, it is well worth it. You can also purchase Eiland Coffee at Whole Foods, but the service and the story you will only get here ;)

We had a couple of gift cards to redeem, so we came to the Interurban location to buy a bag of coffee. The two guys that worked there were very friendly and answered all of our questions. Hubby, the coffee drinker in our family, told them that he usually enjoys a medium 'breakfast blend' type of roast. They directed us to the Wush Wush Ethiopian coffee on the bottom shelf. Hey, if nothing else, it sure was fun to say! We tried the coffee the following morning. The coffee smelled really good and had a very unique flavor. It was a rare batch as the guys at the counter said they only roasted 30 bags of this particular blend. If you're looking for exotic coffee with a knowledgeable crew, this is the place to go!

One word: VIBES The staff is so funny and quirky. It's a tiny shop that presently surprised me with natural process Thai coffee beans! Really nice selection of coffees with a notably smooth pour over. If you're looking for a place to grab some stellar coffee beans to brew your own cup at home, this is your spot!

Awesome place for a quick coffee stop. The shop is little but has a variety of merchandise. They have a good selections of coffee beans from different origin. We tried the pour over Ethiopian and it was pretty smooth. The flavors has slight sour and funk to it. It's lightly aromatic and not overly crazy. Staff is very friendly and helpful in giving us tips of other places to check out. I like the simplicity of this little shop.

The menu options are plentiful and unique. The service is exceptional. This is what I had: 1st visit: Coffee: Mocha covered cherries,10/10 very unique flavor profile. The cherry flavor is there along with the chocolate. They make their own chocolate milk. The mix of flavors is spot on. Veggie omelet: 8/10 the crust is flaky, the ingredients are fresh and well balanced. There is an even ratio of veggie to egg. It boils have used a but more seasoning. 2nd visit: Coffee: Graham cracker latte, 10/10 strong toasty coffee flavor. I could not taste a distinct graham flavor although the balance of flavor is there. It is pleasing to the palate. Cranberry Cider: 10/10 great flavor. It was warm and inviting. It felt like a warm hug near a fire place. Bacon, cheddar, chive, scone: 10/10 seasoned well due to the mix of ingredients. The bacon was crispy, the cheddar is present and gooey, the chive is like the hall monitor that keeps everything together. The scone is moist and not too dense. I enjoyed it. Breakfast sandwich with bacon and egg: 10/10 the bread is thin and crispy. They took the cheese off by request. The bacon has a great flavor but could have been crunchier. The egg is perfectly over easy and has the perfect balance of a soft and gooey yolk.

The only small downside was that they weren't as hot as I usually like, but that's an easy fix -- I'll just ask for extra hot next time. Someone else in our group tried the apple cider and said it was okay, but it tasted more like warm apple juice since the spices you usually expect in apple cider weren't noticeable. Overall, a solid spot for coffee, especially if you're in the area and craving a smooth latte. Would definitely come back and just customize the temp next time.

However, after visiting multiple times at different times of day, I don't think I'll be coming back. The food is fine and the coffee is okay, but the customer service has consistently been disappointing, and that's what ultimately ruins the experience. Each time I've gone, the staff behind the counter seem disengaged and uninterested in helping customers. There have been multiple occasions where no one acknowledges you at the counter, or they stay in the back and make you feel like you're interrupting them just by ordering. When they do interact, it often comes across as short or unfriendly. I'm not trying to make assumptions about the staff, but after repeated experiences like this, the environment just feels unwelcoming. It's gotten to the point where I can't even focus on working there because the overall vibe feels off. It's frustrating because this place could be great with more attentiveness and basic kindness in customer service. Unfortunately, the service has been consistently negative enough that it outweighs everything else.
