This place is super underrated!!! I asked questions to the worker who made my drink and she not only made a wonderful coffee, but also educated me with their appliances and the story behind their name "Eiland". I think when it comes to coffee, I highly value the customer service and the personal experience. If you're looking for a quick cup of coffee, Eiland is the place to go! Some down sides is that the cafe is very small. It's not your usual sit-down cafe to do work, but instead, it is a grab-&-go cup of joe. I prefer having a seating area so that i have the choice of being able to get some work done. Even with this big down side, i give this business 5 stars because the taste, atmosphere, and experience were top notch. I am not a huge coffee drinker. I just like purchasing it for my friends and family. However, this little place in non de script area is so cute and the coffee is strong. I tasted the cappuccino and it kept me alert and my mom said she enjoyed it. The beans we in the warehouse and your could tour it. I purchased beans for a friend. Will update the review later. My brother and I spent a lot of time in Texas last year on family business. We grew up in Richardson and a lot has changed - much of it for the better. For one thing, there's great coffee now. Eiland on Interurban was our first stop every morning. If we had a difficult day ahead, the baristas always seemed to know and got us ready with a couple of espresso shots. We'd often stop by in the afternoon for cappuccino, too. I like Eiland's coffee selection so much that I have it shipped to me in Connecticut. After reading all of those positive reviews I went to go check this place out with my friend... We were so excited honestly we thought we were gonna try one of the best coffees in Dallas. Instead, we tried the worst coffees we've ever had. I have no idea what we were given. I ordered an iced caramel latte and spent almost $5 on it - and it tasted like diluted coffee and diluted milk! My friend got an iced mocha and maybe it was intentional but there was powder blocks on the bottom and every time she took a sip she'd get chunks of mocha powder. I tried it too and I had the same CHUNKS of powder. If that was intentional why don't they let it be known? TBH the barista boy probably forgot to mix the mocha and espresso- which is like step 1. Ugh I'm seriously so disappointed since this place is right by my house and it tasted like nasty water. They also don't even have like cut ice. It looked like they broke a block of ice and gave you whatever shapes came out of it. It just wasn't pleasant at all. Also we noticed the barista take out this "chocolate milk" looking jug out of the fridge and put it in my friends mocha. Also I don't even know what milk they used cuz it was in this big jug and who knows how long it's been in there. Needless to say...will never go back here. Don't recommend this place at all. I wish I had a good experience but damn... maybe it was a bad day? Maybe it was an inexperienced barista? Maybe I'm just tryna make excuses since I read so many good reviews about this place and it ended being underwhelming? I heard their coffee beans are good to buy and people like them. Let me tell you, I usually drink my coffee with sweetener and cream, but this stuff was soooooo smooth that I drank my second cup black! The excellent rich taste went well with breakfast. Amazingly fresh coffee beans, coffee was amazing. For the first time in a long time, I didn't need to add any creamer or sugar to the coffee. Was able to enjoy the coffee as is. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly. I loved that their location is a bit of a hole in the wall (the interior was very clean and new with high end coffee equipment). Service was quick and I ended getting beans from china: which was different in a way good way: medium bean with a very very small hint of honey plus the flavor of espresso. I would recommend it. Who knew that one of the best coffee roasters period was in our back yard? I found out about Eiland's about a year ago and it is really the first place I can't say anything negative about. First of all Eiland's isn't one of the new wave roasters or shops. the roots go back pretty far and they know what the hell they're doing. The coffee here is the best I've had in North Texas. My usual is a vanilla latte and a cappuccino and it's almost always perfect. I have tried all of the coffee here and my personal favorite to bring home is the Costa Rica. It's perfect for pour-over and even espresso although they also have an espresso roast. They always have fresh roasted coffee for a great price and the staff are so friendly and helpful. Our favorite barista is Josh. He won't appreciate this but he also does some decent latte art. Just don't ask him to do it if it's swamped. I love Eiland's, I can't wait for them to open their new location and I wish nothing but the best for them and their team of amazing people. Go give them a try if you haven't already and you'll be equally amazed. read more

I would like to report that this product is downright lovely. As my other reviews have mentioned I am a recent transplant to the Dallas area. An invite was extended to my lovely wife and I to join some friends/family at a high-end restaurant. While at the restaurant I enjoyed an exquisite cup of coffee. This cup of coffee was sweet and yet so excellently balanced. When the waitress came back to the table I asked about the coffee and LO and BEHOLD, this cup was a product of Eiland Coffee Roasters. The beans are excellent and the flavor profiles are most excellent, please grab a bag from them or even from WholeFoods. Enjoy yo'self! read more

Delicious coffee and a ton of choice of beans! I bought the Ethiopia beans home and it's THE best espresso ever come out of my machine. Nothing beats espresso made from fresh beans! Some reviewers complained about the size of the drink, but you do realize with a couple exceptions (i.e. a large Americano) most drinks come with 2 shots espresso, and you're paying extra just for the milk or water, right? Anyway, I can't wait to go back and sample more of their roast! read more

I have been searching all over Dallas/Fortworth for a good espresso and just have not found one until today. Also, I had the privilege to try the cold brew and it was delicious. You know when someone tells you what a coffee should taste like and you nod your head deceiving yourself that sure that's what it tastes like? Well that was me until today when I tasted a sweet hint of strawberry in my cold brew coffee and the nutty spice flavored of a straight up espresso. I sure lucked out having this place less than half a mile from my house. The owner and staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. I ordered a Brazilian drip coffee and bought a bag of their Interurban blend, which was incredibly fresh as it was roasted the day before. Coffee is fantastic. I found this place on Yelp and showed up one morning for a business meeting. They have no seating and no wifi. This is not a coffee shop. My wife and I stopped in today. We had seen them at the Wildflower Festival this past May, otherwise we wouldn't have known they existed. The owner was extremely nice and patient in explaining the history and the process. The most important thing that happened though was that we got a cup of coffee! He suggested that we try the Kenya Roast. I'm not going to exaggerate when I say this is the best cup of coffee either of us have had in our lives......and my wife drinks a ton of coffee. They are open to the public and a few business sell their product. For the amount of flavor it is a bargain and far cheaper than the typical dominant corporate stops.
