Passed by this place several times. Finally got a chance to try it. Bring cash! Takeout only. I was worried that they wouldn't understand what I wanted to order so I took pictures. Turns out that I didn't need to worry. Beef Sandwich/Crepe/Jian Bing Guozi - it was like a Naan bread which is a 2 layer bread. It's the perfect meal ($5.00). Scallion Pancake was great ($2.00). With the food paper pocket, it makes it easier to carry the item and eat it. Great food, reasonably priced (inexpensive), food is ready in a short amount of time. Go give them a try.

4.5 Pretty good! A simple, high quality snack/breakfast/lunch. So...this isn't a crispy crepe or a pancake, more like a giant egg roll-up burrito (ie. TJ's gluten-free egg "pita/taco shell"). It's a VERY large portion. I got the Jian Bing with beef (thin-sliced stewed beef). The item's made with 3-4 eggs for the wrapper (not sure if the batter has other flours, sprinkled with scallion & cilantro. The chef had 2 eggs she was scrambling into it), drizzle of chili oil (asked for mild), a hoisin-like sauce, a generous amount of the beef, 3 giant flat crispy crackers (not greasy at all, very fresh looking). Folded 2x & cut in half. Each half piece is about 8" long. It's steaming hot! This is perfect with a milk coffee or yin yang from Taipan Bakery across the street. It's VERY egg-forward. Was worried that I wouldn't like it because of the mixed reviews. I wouldn't say the ingredient flavors are super strong - more subtle & fresh. I can see why it's a breakfast item in China. Next time I'd ask for the halves in 2 different paper sleeves. It's a little awkward to pull up 1 half resting on top of the other, especially towards the end. The shop is super tiny, but very packed. There's only 1 foot of standing space in front of the ordering counter - that's probably why there's lines, literally no place to wait. I ate a few bites in the office building lobby to the left of the shop & kept on my commute. I think the closest places to sit & eat (if they allow outside food) are Tangram Mall or New World Food Court a few blocks away. Very glad that I finally tried this viral item. The staff are very friendly & speak at least Mandarin & English. One recommendation would be a proper menu. Prices are listed next to large photos of the food items. Even for the Jian Bing, there isn't anything about the types of meat filling options (only knew of this from the reviews here). The customer ahead of me had some kind of ham filling. There was a steady stream of customers even on a cold rainy day - most were young & probably found out about the shop from social media, others seemed very local, ordering quickly in Mandarin. The service was pretty quick!

I came all the way to try the Jian Bing Guo Zi but it was just meh. Mainly because it lacked flavor. Not that it was under seasoned, but it only had one dimensional flavor. I thought with the various layers and textures, my mind would be blown as soon as I bit into the JBGZ but I was disappointed. In fact, I disliked the middle crispy layer so much, I later replaced it with deep fried fish skin from Maxi's Noodles down the street when I sat down for a much better meal. Sorry, can't recommend 8 Jane.

Oh yea- what you see is what you get. In what's known as THE LARGEST Asian cultural center outside of Asia, Eight Jane is proof Flushing is 'all that' and an egg wrap with chips. Aka jianbing. Speedy service with a smile.

I finally was able to haul my ass to Flushing in the morning to get an Eight Jane jianbing and I'm pretty pleased. For a holiday, there was still a slight weight but I think that's because jianbings are deceptively longer to make than you'd expect. It seems like it's the flour mix taking its time to solidify. The workstation was more immaculate than expected, relative to... Flushing's high foot traffic food culture. They seem to run a tight ship there; it was a little mesmerizing. I got the beef jianbing entirely because I couldn't understand what other flavors they have but that's partly because I find it hard to process fast talking people. And for $8, the size was substantial. I thought this would fall under a mild snack but no, I was pleasantly full. The bing itself could use less crackers and more components with flavor for my taste but whatevs, it's under $10. I have to say, the flavors themselves were light-- pretty consistent with more delicate palates in the East. I'm not the primary target audience, so it's not my place to say that's not how they should do it but this comment is more for people with a Western palate like mine; I was craving something with a richer flavor. I know, I'm a fat American.

I went to Eight Jane to try the jianbing, and it was great! I came inside and the server was sweet. She took my order and gave me a number. The shop is small, so I mostly waited outside. I waited about ten minutes before my beef jianbing was ready, and it was delicious! Very warm, a little spicy, and good texture. Maybe I wished it was a bit sweeter, but then I noticed mine did not have beef! I came back, and they made me a new one, and I left very satisfied with both the food and service.

They've got great, inexpensive breakfast. It's take out only as it is just a cashier store front. Cash only. I love their spicy beef crepes ($8) and beef rolls ($5), those are my go to breakfast. Pretty filling for less than $10. The beef rolls are usually ready a lot quicker than the crepes. Since the crepes are made to order from scratch when you order, it's ~10mins wait depending on how busy they get. It can get pretty busy with lines but definitely worth it.

Phenomenal jianbing! Cheap, hot, delicious! These come out piping hot- we had to wait in line ~20ish minutes but well worth it! So so tasty! Not really anywhere to sit, but it was pretty easy to eat on the go. I would definitely return! No complaints! You must try!

The stall is tight and there was a small line when we got there. But after a short wait, we got our food. We got two of their jian bing, one with pork floss and one with beef. So delicious! We will be returning.

Not sure the jian bing lived up to the hype it's gotten on the internet. I can say it was DEFINITELY an amazing deal for how big and loaded it is. But there was surprisingly not any flavor....I got it a little spicy but wouldve gone full out had I known it wouldn't be super spicy haha. Ordering was very easy and it was made pretty quickly. It's just a tiny place along the sidewalk! It's worth a try if you're in the area! (Maybe use some toppings/sauces from the NWM food court?...)

It's about 1/3 the cost of a Bian elsewhere and sadly in terms of flavor about the same. The sweet folks that oversee the restaurant are indeed great and sweet, but my Duck Bian was just too bland even with the sweet hoisin and the crunchy noodle topping. Maybe it was a bad day. The shop is essentially just a street window and there is no indoor seating. This is rather important as bians aren't something you want to travel far with. They need to be eaten pretty soon after you get them.

The best 煎饼 (jian bing- Chinese crepe) in New York!!! They make them fresh in front of you, and it can take a while to get (~20-30 min at peak times), but it's worth it! Super hot and crispy, jian bing is one of my favorite breakfast foods and it's so affordable ($6) for a huge portion that could easily be split between two people. The lady was also nice and pre-cut it in two separate bags for my sister and I to split. You order at the stall (cash is king) and then wait. No seating but it's worth it!

This food stall is one that you will constantly hear of if you think about Flushing food. This staple hole in the wall spot offers jianbing (traditional Chinese egg crepes) as well as a variety of other breakfast items. They make your jianbing to order and as it gets kind of busy in the morning, it can take around 20 minutes (that's how long mine took). Their popular jianbing includes either the classic crispy wafer or the youtiao for $6. But, I wanted some protein in mine so I got their beef jianbing for $8. The portion was HUGE and honestly I could've split it up between two meals. They added hoisin, scallion, and chili oil into it too for more flavor and it was delicious. Highly recommend this food stall.

Even though this vendor sells tacos pequeño (small tacos, 2-3 bites), they are $3-4 each, which is not cheap. For that reason, I can't give them 5 stars. It's quite pricey considering that most full size tacos are selling for about $4.50-5.50 nowadays on the streets, but double in size. With that said, I appreciate the smaller size for me to enjoy more variety every time I stop by. My favorites change from visit to visit, but generally I always get Suadero (roast meat), Campechano (roast meat & sausage), Buche (pork stomach), Cabeza (beef head), and Lengua (beef tongue). I also like the extra weird parts like Cesos (beef brain) and Ojos (beef eye). However, the texture is very mushy and definitely not for everyone. As accompaniments, for every two tacos you order, they also give you a long stem onion that is quite tender and delicious. On the down side, instead of the traditional lime and radish that most places give, Tacos El Borrego offers lemon and cucumbers. I'm not sure why, except maybe they are cheaper options than the normal garnishes. Also, don't forget the flavorful green and red sauces on the table if you are eating there. Otherwise, ask for some to go. I miss the days when our group of friends would get a few tacos late at night after a party or night out drinking. The prices are no longer the same, but the food is still perfect for sobering up while having some laughs on the streets during the warm months. I think back to those days fondly whenever I'm at a taco stand nowadays, and Tacos El Botrego is one of my favorites in NYC.

I had read about Oaxacan tlayudas, large crisp tortillas coated with a layer of mashed black beans and sprinkled with savory toppings, while trip planning, and I was intrigued. I noticed the Sr. San Pablo cart advertising tlayudas when I was at Corona Plaza a few weeks ago, and prioritized a return visit. Since then, I've tried a steak taco and the combination meats tlayuda, and both were delicious. The steak taco had juicy and well-seasoned meat, a flavorful tortilla, and amazing spicy sauce. The tlayuda was large enough for 2-3 people to share. In addition to the large base tortilla and bean spread, the combination variety had chorizo, steak, and seasoned pork (the best) for the meats, stringy Oaxacan cheese, tomato, and avocado. There were red and green salsas and escabeche pickles available for garnishes. I would have liked a little lime to add some sparkle to all of the savory flavors. There are 4 small stools and a covered table next to the cart to sit and eat, but I can't imagine it'd be a fun experience in bad weather. Definitely check this place out.

Instead, walk 10-15 minutes south on Kissena Blvd and you will find a group of street vendors gathering nightly on the sidewalk right in front of Gold City Supermarket. On a beautiful night, you'll find many people camping out on the ledge of the supermarket parking lot, or even putting out picnic blankets, while enjoying various street foods they can find at this great little "food fest". The street vendors are from different regions of China and serves all sorts of yummy goodies. You can find lots of fried items, soup noodles, grilled skewers, marinated meats and veggies, desserts, etc. One of my favorite stalls is the vendor selling hand torn shredded chicken ($25 each), which they dress up in seasoning and spices. They use an older chicken that has a firmer texture that won't fall apart when tearing the meat. The flavor is wonderful and absolutely addictive. They even give you a frequent buyer card that gets you a free chicken when you reached six purchases. The same stall also sells marinated items that are quite good. You are allowed to mix and match as long as they have the same price point. Another stall I would recommend is the stinky tofu stall. There are often more than one, but I like the one with the longest table space only dedicated to this single product, often in the middle of the block. If you have never tried this delicacy, close your nose and give it a go. You may be pleasantly surprised. Other stands that are popular include the BBQ grilled meats over charcoal, where you can get $2-3 skewers of lamb, beef, chicken wings, and whole lot more. Also, if you see the man grilling whole squids, his stuff is quite tasty too. Bottom line, it's a fun evening hanging out with your friends and snacking on various yummy bites. Be brave and try something new. Though there are few English signs, just order what looks good. Find a day with nice weather and check it out soon.
