I'm not going to hold it against this new business that my server is highly over attentive and hasn't left much of an impression on me other than that. The bartender is bubbly and outgoing in a mood uplifting way. The beer is good, the atmosphere is awesome, the music so far is fun (all 1980's) and they make a damn fine pizza. So let's talk pizza. As far as pizza goes, I'm picky. The Pizza House is my top, Brooklyn Bros is second. This pizza is right up there with Pizza House, it might even be better. We went there because I heard they have a great vegan pizza option (they also have GF). Turns out it's the best vegan pizza in Everett, hands down! Additionally, there's lots of tv's for games, the service was spot on, and the seating is very comfy. They had a great pitcher/pizza special and we couldn't agree on a beer, so they let us have 2 pounders of our choice, instead of having to compromise. Pretty cool. I have never seen a business owner in my life treat customers the way this man does. We ordered 2- salads- order of chicken wings, 2- pizzas, 3- drinks. One of the pizza's came very burnt.. not just on the edges I'm talking coal black burnt completely on the bottom of the pizza... You can tell the pizza was not tended to while it was on the wood fire -you could smell the burnt when the pizza arrived on the table. The other pizza was perfect golden brown. We pointed it out to the waiter\owner, who immediately got defensive and said "I have wood fire ovens" cook hot"! And left us? Then owner walked away- we all sat there confused,? We kept comparing them- amongst ourselves one charcoal burnt bottom- the other perfectly golden brown- we even tasted the pizza thinking maybe it doesn't taste the way it looks... No chance it tasted burnt just as it looked- much time went by- before the owner came back around later leaving us wondering if we were going to get stuck with this burnt pizza? Again, kindly We explained and showed him the difference- we've had many Wood-fire pizzas before- obviously the burnt one was left unintended. Owner walked away again- husband said to my brother-I guess we are going to take the hit on this?? Taste like sh**- The owner flipped around angry Owner got very upset charged his face toward his - like the owner wanted to fight? He took this very personal, yelled and said - no need for profanity, no one in the place heard this, over the to loud- "profanity music playing" through the "Bar"- no one under 21 can be. Screams he will make a new one!!! Drawing attention to himself- We were in shock as we never seen anyone freak out because they served us burnt our food? Then acting like he wanted ti fight? It was very strange reaction? Husband said "that would be nice" ... Owner came back with a new one that was so undercooked the pizza dough was still Doughy. We never said anything about it- We just kindly asked for the bill- which was over $100 we will never go back again the food is just not worth the price and also not worth being yelled at when we point out that our food was burnt. Most restaurants are happy to have customers and try to make things right so you'll come back... He seems to have an anger issue, very bad tempered, if you point out that your pizza is burnt and taste burnt, he might throw you out- the scene reminded me of a show called Jerry Sinfield where they would go to a soup kitchen" and the owners yelling at everyone-to get out-"No soup for you today" as I mentioned the other pizza- was not burnt. He made us feel like we were a nuisance that we picked his establishment to come in and even order food like we were bothering him from the very beginning. Which we sat for 10-15 minutes before getting menu. He was very busy many tables and we noticed he tries to do everything! He needs a bartender, or some extra help to take orders get menus or some water. You can feel the stress off him- we had to wait a long time for each step taken. I think he's overworking himself and taking it out on the customers... He's going to lose business treating people like that or need some anger management? We noticed he was being very rude to another table- " something to the fact of - "No- don't sit there- pointing angrily "I said sit there" Embarrassing them! either way we won't be back that was our second time there our first experience was good not very busy the first visit, even the portion size of salad was not like the first time- second time we had barley any greens very thin layer covering the plate, $16.00. I ordered this again because the first time there it was good and worth the price- Second time there- hardly any salad on the plate???... experience was like night and day! The Owners, Intimidating and combative attitude, ready for combat vibe, is ridiculous. Honestly, The Owner- of the "Eight ball Cafe" if he was to have pool tables there, which there isn't- is still a poor sport... this owner- " Sunk the eight ball- before it was over"! Don't go here if you want to get assaulted by the owner/bartender. My husband and I went in at 8:30 as it states here on Yelp they're open until 10:00 and their door. He quickly told us they were already closed even though there was a full bar of patrons, my husband went back in to ask due to the posted hours. It escalated to the owner coming out from behind the bar and other patrons and him physically as well as verbally attacking my husband and pushing him, and at no time did my husband physically react to him. I'm not sure what country he's from but this is not how we treat potential customers here. Unacceptable on every level. read more

I was sitting next to " Public D." The behemoth that decided to leave a negative review a couple weeks ago at this small business. Let me just put it to you this way, when those yuppies got kicked out for behaving childishly, the whole bar started clapping. 8-ball is a must stop for locals. The food is great, and they use quality ingredients, so it is a little pricier. Quattro formaggio is always delicious. Rachid is one of a kind and as friendly as they come. He keeps the beers rotating and interesting liquor on the shelf. If you have a bad experience with him, you're probably the a-hole. read more

My new favorite pizza spot in Everett! Cozy, casual, welcoming space. Great microbrews. Ample TVs for watching sports, and also booths for interacting with each other. Every time I've been there (4 times) the owner has made a point of coming by and saying hello. It's a family business. They make every pizza to order. Try the potato pizza! I'll admit I was reluctant at first. Potato? And MAYONNAISE? On a pizza? Whaaaa? Did not sound appealing to me but my friends insisted. And once I tasted, I promptly adjusted my assumptions. It was crazy tasty. Salty, tender, 'tato'ey. Definitely different - and worth a try. There's also a good selection of salads and sammies. This is one of the best pubs/cafe's in the downtown Everett, WA area. The owner and staff are amazingly courteous, and go out of their way for everyone. I have Not had a bad meal here what-so-ever. And, I have been going here since September of 2018. I have had their pizzas, sandwiches, salads, and apps; all great. Service is all about the customer here. Worst employee/ owner I have ever had to deal with. Went in there for a birthday party and I ordered a meatos pizza and when I got it was meatball with mushrooms and olives. Told him I ordered a meat pizza and he talked to me like I ordered wrong and it was all my fault. When I got my check both pizzas were on my tab. My husband and I live up north so we don't usually go out in Everett unless we're meeting up with friends. A friend of ours had seen this place a few times and wanted to try it, so we stopped in. They have a good variety of beers and a nice atmosphere. Good tunes were playing, but it wasn't so loud that you couldn't have a conversation. The owner was working when we stopped in. I found a gem!! You guys know me Fat Matt. There is some amazing places around Everett. This place is one to see. You can have pizza to hummus all is amazing.
