It is difficult to describe just how great of an experience Eyal provides to assist you in picking out the perfect diamond. I was introduced to him via a coworker who used him to purchase an engagement ring. Since I was popping the question, he insisted that I make an appointment with Eyal before I bought the diamond I had picked out online. I had done a significant amount of research on diamonds and knew exactly what I "thought" I was looking for. I literally had the diamond and setting picked out and in my shopping cart on one of those fancy engagement ring websites. I made a yelp account for the express purpose of thanking Eyal for the amazing experience. His passion and honesty made buying an engagement ring special for both me and my fiancee. He wants to help you figure out the best fit for you and your loved one, and won't push you into anything - it felt like a truly collaborative experience from the get go. I didn't know much about shopping for diamonds so our first meeting involved sitting down with Eyal (privately) and spending a lot of time talking about different cuts, clarities, etc. Then we looked at a bunch of different diamonds - again, no pressure about cost or size or whatever, just a chance to figure out what I liked. He actually masked the cost/carat of the stones and revealed them only once I had it narrowed down to two. Eyal is the man. A couple of my fiance's family members have gone to him, so he followed suit. He was definitely not disappointed. The ring shopping experience with Eyal was truly unique. He educates you on all things diamonds and does his best to learn as much about the wearer as possible to make the best recommendations. Then, there's the fun part. He lays out a bunch of loose stones for you to look at and choose between that fall around your price range. It feels special that my fiance was able to choose the actual stone itself. It's a much more personal experience than buying a pre-made ring at a chain store or picking one out online based off of an image that could never truly show the real qualities of the diamond. Eyal usually recommends setting the stone in the standard thin white gold band at least for the proposal. He finds that most women prefer this one (myself included!). However, he can help you design whatever you can dream up. I myself have gotten to interact with him on a handful occasions, most recently being when we went back to him for our bands! It was such a fun experience. He truly isn't looking to make as big of a sale as possible. In fact, he said that because my engagement ring is so dainty, that I shouldn't go too big with the stones on my band. He has a lot of pride in his work and would choose a satisfied customer over a big sale any day. There happened to be a shooting downtown the night we were there, and we got home to an email from Eyal making sure we made it home safe. Okay, this is waaaay overdue but...as they say... It was 2011 and I was about to fly to South America to ask the love of my life to marry me. I wanted a diamond, a special one.
