For some additional context, I am a plus sized bride (street size 22/3X). I am pretty picky about clothes and fashion and have high expectations to find a fashionable, special, luxurious dress. I really didn't know what to expect. Would I be able to try on enough dresses to make a decision? Would I have to compromise? I came on a Friday afternoon and was the only bride in the shop. My stylist was Carla. Shoutout to Carla for giving me an amazing experience!!! I was able to try on about 6 dresses during my appointment, and we went a little over the allotted time. Carla took the time to get to know me, to ask my friend about me, asked me all about my wedding and my fiance. She was so sweet, supportive, knowledgeable, and encouraging. At no point did it feel like being plus sized impacted my experience. There were plenty of dresses for me to try in plus size samples and in my price range. We were about to wrap up and re-try the dress that had been my favorite, when I brought up to Carla that there was a dress in the store that I was in love with but it wasn't available in a plus sized sample in-store. Still, she brought it out and then went to talk to the manager to see what they could do to help me really consider it. They both thought we should try to put it on, even though it was a small size. Amazingly, I was able to put it on and have it clipped up and was definitely able to get an idea of what the dress would look like if I ordered it. My friend, Carla, and I all instantly realized it was the one. I was so grateful that she had been so open minded and kind and made it happen for me. She could've easily said sorry, it's not available in a plus sized sample. But she didn't give up and she did what she could to make sure I wouldn't regret walking out of there without trying it. I can't wait to come back for a follow up appointment when my family is in town to show them this dress and very likely order it. If you are a plus sized bride or ANY sized bride please give this place a try.

I would not recommend this shop to anyone. I booked the appointment 2 months in advance, and had to list my wedding date on multiple forms. My appointment was in early September, and my wedding is in May. 8 months is well within the recommended timeline for getting your dress, and every other shop I went to had no concerns with that timeline. I also received a confirmation call a few days before, where a saleswoman wasted my time asking me several pointless questions like "is there anyone who can't come to the appointment that you wish could be there?" During that pre-appointment call, they confirmed my wedding date AGAIN. At no point did I sense any concern or hesitation regarding the information I provided. When I arrived to the appointment, Jennifer greeted us with a very off-putting attitude. She was very abrasive and overly stern, and she overall didn't seem very friendly. She then told me and my guests that there was no way she would be able to get me any dresses from any of their designers in time for my wedding, and that "most brides do this a year in advance." She told me that my only option was going to be off-the-rack, if I could find a dress in my size, because I didn't have time to do alterations. This would have been very nice to know before I kept my appointment and drove up to Seattle. This was also not my first bridal appointment, but it was the first time I had heard any concerns with my wedding timeline. I believe she could have delivered that message in a much nicer way. I also suspect she may have been trying to fear-monger me into purchasing certain dresses that they were trying to sell. The vibe of this shop was very off putting, and that combined with the rude attitude from their saleswomen turned this into a very short appointment. The saleswoman wouldn't even leave me and my family alone for a moment to discuss the timeline and assess our options. She still kept trying to push off-the-rack dresses on me that I had already told her I wasn't interested in. She was also pulling sizes that were clearly much too big for me, which I thought was rude. I felt severely uncomfortable trying on any dresses in front of these people, and ultimately ended up turning around and leaving after only spending about 15 minutes inside. I would not suggest this shop to anyone looking to try on dresses. If this would have been my first experience, the stress and discomfort would have been overwhelming and disheartening. I'm so fortunate that it was NOT, and that I had a wonderful shop in Tacoma to compare it to. To anyone that has the time, budget, and desire to try on dresses, do not waste your time with these people.

I found my dress in 30 minutes!! The ladies there are so supportive and kind. They give you space to shop around with zero pressure to buy. The dresses are all nicely organized by size lined up on racks. There was a great selection of size 0-12. The selection did get slimmer after size 16. I was worried they would all be outdated but they're not! (I saw multiple sample dresses in wonderful condition too) for size 10-12: Most were around $450 id say? I believe I only saw a few over $1k (highest one $1.3k?) and those were dresses retailing for $6k+ new. You're allowed 10 dresses per appointment, no more than 5 dresses at a time in the dressing room. The dressing rooms sit across from each other, so there will likely be people from other parties watching you try on dresses too if you choose to walk out of the room to extend the train or add a veil. A portable fan in the dressing room, which is genius. lol Not a lot of seating if you have a maximum guest appointment, so I'd save those appointments for the weekdays? However, there *was* 2 other parties there and it didn't feel crowded at all. I'm just shy One dress caught my eye IMMEDIATELY. A 2023 Sarah Alouache fully beaded head to toe, corset bodice, lace underlay gown. Are you kidding--A literal DREAM. I wish you could see the detail in person. Fit perfectly. It's stuningggggg. I thought for sure it was going to be at least $1.2k since it retails for almost $5k. But it was $800! Totally reasonable for a dress like this. I'm almost positive it's unaltered too which leads me to think this was a sample and never worn off the floor. TIP: The street parking was rough, you need to get there at least 15 min before your appointment (I recommended 30 on the weekends) There's cheap parking 2 blocks down at Roosevelt square. We parked right next to that for $1.75 for 2 hours on a Saturday. So extremely cheap for Seattle. The walk is very short!

I sent detailed images of my dress and was quoted $800. A couple of months later, at the end of my first appointment, the tailor handed me a bill for over $1600. After I checked with her, she took a couple hundred off for the bustle but basically said sometimes prices of materials and services change. I was completely shocked. This drastic price change should be communicated to customers. I was lucky that I could scrape together an unplanned expense and pay more than my dress for alterations... But I am a teacher and this was a pretty big blow financially. I should have taken my dress back then and gone somewhere else, but I figured that I wouldn't have time and told myself it was worth it. It wasn't. The seamstress was not friendly, and didn't take questions well. When she finished the bustle it was a line of hooks (like small bra hooks) along the back of my dress and was an eyesore. I took it back and she fixed the bustle, but this left holes along the seam where the hooks were. My fitted dress had buttons down the back, and after tailoring a button under my butt didnt lay right and caused a weird fold if I leaned back at all. When I brought this up, she snapped "you won't be bending over backwards at your wedding!" And didn't address it further. Well, I just got my photos back and that weird fold is apparent in many of my photos. That spot makes it look ill fitted and sloppy. (And yes you WILL be bending back at your wedding when dancing, dipping, kissing, and laughing!) Also, when I took my dress in to get the bustle fixed, her assistant told me an incredibly disturbing annecdote about wanting to euthanize his cat by putting it in the freezer... Not what you want to hear when you're in wedding mode (or ever!!!) All in all, this was one of the most stressful and disappointing parts of planning my wedding. I shed many tears. The whole process made me dislike my dress from all of the stress associated with it. I would not recommend this place.

I bought a sample dress almost exactly a month before the wedding date. Despite our hurry the team were courteous, professional, and very body-positive! I felt incredible after they had customized my too-tight fitting, intricately beaded mermaid-style dress. After not being emotional or particularly attached to any of the dresses I had quickly tried, I fell in love with; the Kitty Chen "Andrea" that did not quite zip when I purchased it. They did an incredible job adding that inch, created the many-point bustle needed and showed us how to do "bustling" in a video my maid-of-honor filmed. Thank you SO so much for working with me and making our wedding day so special! Everyone was BLOWN AWAY by my ceremony/ dinner dress, both by the fit and how elegant it was. I wish I could have worn it all night, but it is a masterpiece that I would have deeply regretted damaging. So they somehow, very graciously on our tight timeline, also fit in alterations for a second "dancing" gown that I partied down in and even got to wear back to the hotel instead of changing yet again!! My second dress was gorgeous as well, worked wonderfully for dancing, and was absolutely comfortable; this one they had to take-in, shorten and reconstruct the corset at the base where it had ripped with the prior owner. She seemed far more focused on pushing a sale than actually helping my sister find a dress she loved. From the start, she barely listened to my sister's preferences and kept picking dresses that didn't match her vision. Instead of making her feel special, she made her feel pressured and dismissed. My sister--who should have been having one of the most exciting moments of her life--ended up leaving in tears because she felt unheard and rushed into a decision she wasn't comfortable with. What made it even worse was looking around the boutique and seeing two other brides having wonderful experiences with their consultants. They were smiling, laughing, and clearly being listened to, while my sister was treated like an afterthought. It was confusing and frustrating to watch because it proved that the boutique is capable of delivering the kind of service we expected--but unfortunately, not with the consultant we were given. And let's talk about professionalism--because there was none. Our consultant showed up looking completely disheveled, with dog hair all over her clothes which made it impossible to take her seriously. First impressions matter, and if she had carried herself with even a little more effort and professionalism, this experience might have gone in a completely different direction. At the end of the day, we left without a dress--not because my sister didn't find one she could have loved, but because the consultant made the experience so uncomfortable and impersonal that she didn't even want to say "yes" to anything. And I was a bit scared that Callista was new in the business. Well, as I found ou later, they had actually been in the business forever now. It's their family business for generations, and they worked in Europe before moving to the US. I could not believe how professional the owner was. She helped to make up my mind about what I want exactly and showed the catalog of dresses that they had, which by the way was super extensive. Did I mention that the appointment took place at my house? I was not feeling well that day but there was no time to miss and they have an option of coming over to the place wherever it is more comfortable for the customer. Great, right? SO after going through so many dresses, that they did not even have put up on their web-site.( I must say they don't have much on the web-site at all, but when I met with the owner, she had tons of models to choose from. She said they are still developing their web page), we ended up chosing one of the dresses, but I also could change some of the details which I liked in other dresses. So, basically, I ended up with creating my very own dress. Delivery was very timely. And I'm really glad I gave them a shot. Sometimes though if you're like me, far from that, you just need a tailor to repair some clothes. In my case I had a couple pairs of pants with popped buttons. I dropped them off and the lady, perhaps Elsta, was kind. She took my info and told me I should hear back in 5 days and took down my info. She did warn me that if I did not hear back, to call. I understand it gets busy here, the rack when you walk in is loaded with clothes and another with dresses. I came back in a week later as I got busy and was close by coming off work and it was not ready. The lady was very apologetic and told me it would be ready the following day. Sure, enough I got a text the following afternoon to come pick up. The pants were nicely and tightly rebuttoned. Only cost $11 which is less than I expected. So, if I inevitably have to bring more buttons to be sewn or zippers to be repairs, I'll come back.

They notified me at drop off that the dress would be done in 2-3 weeks, and it was ready for pick up the VERY next day! I will be bringing more clothes here in the future.

We never felt rushed. They walked us through possible additions/alterations, listened to what she liked and didn't like and found the perfect fit. It's an important moment in our lives and they helped us navigate that! I was wary of shopping in Bellevue because everything is more expensive in Bellevue!
