Dr. Maryz Estedrak definitely knows her stuff and knows how to hire great staff, but she seems to take pleasure when her words bring others pain. While getting my Xrays and Cleaning I could hear the doctor talking with other patients, she is not a nice person. She must have spoken to 3 - 4 different patients before speaking with me, and each time she was condescending, demeaning, and was more focused on securing additional procedures from each patient rather than trying to help them come up with a plan that works within their insurance and financial constraints. 10 years ago my jaw was fractured by individuals that were learning to become dentists, she tried to gaslight me and tell me that never happened... She was argumentative and then sneer and demeaning when I requested a personal copy of my x-rays... I have never had this problem before with any of my previous dentists. (I still have not received them) Why would I want someone who seems to extract enjoyment from her sharp and painful words anywhere near my mouth or be the arbiter of my mouth health? If you absolutely have no other choice, at least rest assured that Dr. Estedrak is an expert and knows her stuff, I only hope her ability to hear and be compassionate can overgrown her need to judge, demean, and feel superior. If it wasn't for her wonderful staff I wouldn't even contemplate going back, but they were so skilled and compassionate, took their time, that I will probably go back for my 6 month cleaning.

They make a plethora of mistakes ranging from appointments, billing issues to faulty dental work. I don't know if they're cheap or their a/c has literally been broken for 10 years, but going there on a summer day is like being in a sauna. Nadia Malke is the most unpleasant receptionist to work in any medical office and has made appointments, many times, on a day the office was closed. Even confirmed with me the day before. I took off from work that one day to run errands only to go there and see that it was closed. I was extremely upset and spoke with her the next day. She was unbelievably unapologetic, rude, and would not let me speak. Even got angry with me for telling her that I took off from work. Yet I still rescheduled and went to see Dr. Malke. She's violated HIPAA on countless occasions and when I informed her of her violations and asked her to stop, she kept on cutting me off and even started to scream at me over the phone. She refused to even acknowledge her violation. Her inability to process insurance claims properly resulted in bills that I was not responsible for. To top that off she mailed it to the wrong address along with my name and services provided, then calls me to let me know I owe them $40 every day for a week. When I spoke with her over the phone, after she was done screaming, I let her know that my insurance was covered at 100% and that she needed to call them. She was rude and unapologetic yet again. I've never encountered a person so money-hungry in my entire life. She would even speak to patients about other patients by name, clearly another violation of HIPAA. Again, I have never seen someone so unprofessional in my life. Dr.Malke is a nice guy, at least he used to be. A few years back Dr.Malke informed me that I needed fillings, so I went ahead and got them. Turns out, at my next cleaning he tells me I didn't have any cavities and they were only stains. I paid & ruined 7 of my teeth for nonexistent cavities. After a few friends complained to me about a botched root-canal and unbearable pain, that was the last straw and I've switched dentists since then. He tells people that he got his dental education from Columbia University, but after doing a background check with NJ State, he actually graduated from University of Aleppo in the Middle East. On many occasions Dr.Malke and his wife, Nadia will go ahead and run extra x-rays knowing insurance will not cover it and bill you for services you've never requested. They'll also try to convince you to get a "deep cleaning." Well this deep cleaning is actually a regular cleaning, except it's not covered under insurance and they'll bill you, call you, until you pay it. I should mention they do all the calling when you're at work, even though you tell them that beforehand. After a certain point, the botched work, lies, abusive billing practices, and erratic behavior became too much and I have a new dentist. I'm much happier. I can't truthfully recommend Dr. George Malke to anyone who cares about their teeth or money. My friends and I are no longer patients of Dr. George Malke.

They were not only extremely professional and kind, they also worked out an amazing deal since this is already an expensive procedure. I'm about a month into my healing process and I could not have asked for a better dentist. For any worry I have, I am seen that day with 0 wait. What an awful experience I had with this office. I had significant work done here: tooth extraction…read moreand a dental bridge. It was supposed to take 6-7 visits but instead took over 15. I felt that some of the appointments were unnecessary. For example, I had impressions done at least 5 times. During one visit, Dr. Mila tried to inject me with anesthesia and I pulled away; I then asked why she was going to inject me, because I was there for impressions. She couldn't tell me why and proceeded with the impression. A bit odd, right? The bridge took 6 months to complete. By the time of my last visit, it was time to do my second cleaning. Dr. Mila took x-rays, left the office and came back 10 minutes later, saying I needed more work done and it would cost $1700 out of pocket. At that point I got up and left. That was 2 years ago. Fast forward to November 2021 and I'm at a new dental office for the first time since Paltac (because I was terrified to go back to a dentist). They took X-rays and examined my teeth -- no work needed. No cavities. All dental work intact. In fact they showed me how to clean my bridge, which I never learned how to do with Paltac. The moral of the story is - go get a second opinion, and if you can find another dentist that's not Dr. Mila - you may be better off.

After going to one of those cosmetic dentist's that are everywhere, I was told I needed $6,000 work on my mouth with crowns and veneers, but when I met doctor Carapezza I knew she was old school. She could have told me the same as the previous dentist but offered me options that kept my teeth healthy without all the fancy expensive options but at a reasonable price under $1,000 and I never had a complaint about any of her work. I was sad to see her retire. Her practice was taken over by Doctor Sylvia Awadalla, an extremely knowledgeable, competent dentist with state of the art equipment. I have been going to her as my primary dentist since my previous dentist retired and I am very happy with the treatment I receive from her and would recommend her to anyone.
